Abstract

The jewellery, such as a ring or bracelet, has an external ring which is able to turn between two lateral annular edges of a concentric internal ring. The internal ring is constituted by a soldered assembly of two half rings of the same diameter, the same external configuration and same axial length. Each half ring is formed from an annular part (3,4) comprising, from an end edge, a bulge (3b,4b) which forms a side retaining strip for the external ring. They also have a cylindrical annular part (3c,4c) able to engage in the external ring. Each of the annular parts, at its opposite end edge, has a tubular part (3e,4e) of reduced thickness relative to the thickness of the annular cylindrical part . The reduced thickness parts extend from the internal surface (3a) and from the external surface of the cylindrical annular parts. They thus define, when the two annular parts are abutted to form an internal ring, an internal annular cavity able to receive the solder.

Description

The present invention relates to an annular jewel such than a ring or bracelet with an outer crown rotary.

We have known for a long time such jewelry material precious, in particular gold, whose outer crown can rotate between two annular side edges of a crown inner concentric to the outer crown.

The inner crown has, between the two borders, a cylindrical bearing surface on which the crown is engaged outer, the inner diameter of the outer ring being slightly greater than the outside diameter of the cylindrical seat of the inner crown so as to allow the rotation of said outer crown.

Different configurations of such annular jewelry have already proposed, as well as different processes for manufacturing them, in particular by expansion or by welding.

We thus know from EP-A-0 529 168 an annular jewel in which the inner crown is machined with a central reach of larger diameter and two lateral spans on which are welded separate rings constituting the side edges.

To make such an annular jewel, it is necessary to machine, to form the inner crown, three components separate and then implement two welding operations to fix each of the side rings on the side spans of the inner crown.

The present invention proposes to perfect such a realization by not requiring, for the manufacture of the crown interior, that two additional elements can be obtained at from identical blanks, which can be assembled without using only one welding operation.

The present invention is essentially characterized by the fact that the inner crown is formed by the welded assembly two half-rings with the same inside diameter, the same external configuration and substantially the same axial extent, each of the half-rings being formed of an annular element having, from an end edge, a bulging bearing suitable for forming a lateral retaining bead for the crown external and a cylindrical annular bearing capable of engaging in the outer ring, each of said annular elements comprising, at its opposite end edge, a thick tubular seat reduced compared to the thickness of said annular seat cylindrical, said tubular bearing surfaces of reduced thickness extending from the interior surface and respectively from the outer surface of said annular cylindrical bearing surfaces so to be defined, when the two annular elements are brought into abutment to form the inner crown, an internal annular cavity suitable to receive a weld material.

In the assembled state, the tubular end bearings of the annular elements are fitted one inside the other and a interior and exterior surface continuity is ensured for cylindrical bearings of the two annular elements which constitute the cylindrical bearing surface of the inner ring on which can rotate the outer crown.

Other advantages and characteristics of the invention will appear on reading the following description of an exemplary embodiment which is in no way limitative with reference to the appended drawing in which:
  • FIG. 1 is a sectional view of the components of an annular jewel according to the invention before assembly,
  • FIG. 2 is a sectional view of the same components after assembly,
  • FIG. 3 is an exploded perspective view corresponding to the arrangement illustrated in FIG. 1.

The annular jewel according to the invention, such as a ring by example, has an outer ring 1 having a surface cylindrical interior 2, hollowed out in the example illustrated but which could be full.

An inner ring is formed by the assembly of two annular elements 3 and 4 each having a cylindrical inner surface 3 a and respectively 4 a , of the same diameter, and an outer surface having a bulging surface 3 b and 4 b s' respectively. preferably extending from an end edge of the corresponding element 3 and 4 respectively.

The outer ring 1 and the elements 3, 4 forming the outer crown are for example made of gold beforehand fade to present the desired title.

The bulging spans are extended in the direction of the opposite edge of each of the elements 3 and 4, by cylindrical annular spans 3 c and 4 c respectively, of the same thickness, whose outer surfaces 3 d and 4 d have the same slightly smaller diameter the diameter of the inner surface 2 of the outer ring 1.

La portée 3c de l'élément annulaire 3 comporte à son extrémité libre une portée tubulaire 3e d'épaisseur réduite par rapport à l'épaisseur de la portée 3c .The bearing surface 3 c of the annular element 3 comprises at its free end a tubular bearing surface 3 e of reduced thickness compared to the thickness of the bearing surface 3 c .

La portée tubulaire 3e s'étend à partir de la surface intérieure 3a de l'élément 3, en saillie vers l'avant par rapport au bord d'extrémité de la surface supérieure 3d de cet élément 3.The tubular surface 3 e extends from the inner surface 3 a of the element 3, projecting forward relative to the end edge of the upper surface 3 d of this element 3.

The element 4 comprises for its part a tubular end bearing 4 e of reduced thickness compared to the thickness of the bearing 4 c and extending from the outer surface 4 d of the bearing 4 c .

Tubular bearings 3 e and 4 e have the same radial extension.

The tubular spans 3 e and 4 e preferably have the same thickness, the sum of the thicknesses of these tubular spans 3 e and 4 e being less than the thickness of the spans 3 d and 4 d , so that, when the annular elements 3 and 4 are brought into mutual abutment, as illustrated in FIG. 2, inside the crown 1 an annular cavity 5 is formed between the tubular bearings 3 e and 4 e capable of being filled with a welding material as illustrated in Figure 2, to ensure the assembly of elements 3 and 4 inside the crown 1.

A single weld joint is thus produced substantially at middle of the outer ring 1 and is formed in the thickness of the inner crown formed by the assembly of elements 3 and 4 and is therefore perfectly invisible.

Elements 3 and 4 can be made separately by machining, or alternatively can be formed from blanks identical obtained in the same mold and whose ends brought coming next are machined so as to obtain the conformation illustrated.

In the example illustrated, the width of the outer ring 1 is less than the width of the cylindrical seat formed between the swelling spans 3 b and 4 b of the elements 3 and 4 assembled allowing lateral movement of the outer ring 1 in addition of its rotational movement.
