Description

The present invention relates to a method for make a flap pocket in a section of clothing.

The present invention also relates to an article, in particular a garment, a bag, a suitcase or the like having such a pocket.

A. 642 169).To make a flap pocket, it is known make a straight slit in the fabric of the pan the habit or other item, and attach a flap along from the upper edge of the slot (see for example GB.A. 642 169).

This process has various drawbacks. From the point of view aesthetic, the flap breaks away from the dress, and this for three reasons: the seam of the flap highlights separation, texture and / or pattern of the fabric of the flap are not strictly aligned with those of the coat, and moreover the flap tends to yawn, i.e. to be placed in an oblique position with respect to the dress section. In addition, fixing the flap of the coat can lack robustness and / or sealing.

The object of the invention is thus to propose a pocket structure as well as a process for making it, which remedy the aforementioned drawbacks.

  • According to the invention, the method for producing a flap pocket in a section of an article is characterized in that it comprises the following steps:
  • a) forming in the fabric of the article pan a slot according to a U-shaped contour so as to define inside the U a flap body continuously attached to the article pan, and outside the U a notch in the article ban; and
  • b) fix around the notch a pocket having a lateral opening positioned to be under the flap.
So rather than preserving the fabric of the pan of clothing or other article intended to be under the flap, and which is therefore invisible except when the flap is raised, the invention provides make the flap in continuity with the fabric of the pan of habit. In return, a notch is formed in the part of the habit but this notch may on the one hand be partially closed by the pocket and on the other hand be at least partially concealed by the flap.

According to a preferred version of the method, by example at the flap border, a counter flap covering the inside of the flap body.

The pocket can then also be fixed to the counter flap near or above a line substantially corresponding to the axis of articulation of the flap at the side of the article.

According to another object of the invention, the article comprising a flap pocket obtained in particular by a method according to the first object, is characterized in that that the flap has a flap body which extends in one piece the fabric of the pan of the article with the pocket, while the fabric of the article pan is indented under the flap.

Other features and advantages of the invention will emerge further from the description below, relating to nonlimiting exemplary embodiments.

In the example shown in Figures 1 to 11, a dress, taken as an example of an article, has a pan 1 (Figure 1), in which we practice, for example at by means of a cookie cutter, a slot 2 having the form general of a U whose free ends 3 are directed upwards and bifurcated in Y. The U-shaped slot 2 defines inside the U a flap body 4 and at the outside of the U a notch 6 of the pan of habit 1.

Chaque languette latérale 9 est définie entre l'un des biseaux 7 et le bras intérieur 11 de l'extrémité bifurquée correspondante 3.Then cut the two corners of the flap body 4 according to a bevel 7 so as to define around the body flap 4 a central tab 8 and two tabs side 9. The central tongue 8 is defined between the two bevels 7. Each lateral tab 9 is defined between one of the bevels 7 and the inner arm 11 the corresponding bifurcated end 3.

Then, as shown on the right side of the Figure 1, we return the tabs 8 and 9 to 180 ° against the inside of the flap body 4. This does a U-shaped opening 12 appears between the notch 6 and the flap body 4.

We also prepare a flap border 13 made of a flat piece of cloth in a general U shape. In this part, we make a slanting slit 14 to from each of its two concave angles, to define a central inner tab 16 and two side interior tabs 17. As shown in the right part of figure 2, we return to 180 ° the three interior tabs 16 and 17 and this gives at the border 13 a corresponding interior contour exactly at the outer contour of the flap body 4 with the tongues 8 and 9 turned over. However, both border arms 13 are longer than the edges corresponding sides of the flap body 4.

The border 13 is placed around the flap body 4, so that the tabs 16 and 17 of the border 13 are turned over on the same side as tabs 8 and 9 relative to the plane of the flap body 4 and the border 13. Then connect the flap border 13 to the body of flap 4 by a seam 18 formed all along the edges of the flap body 4. The seam 18 (see also Figure 7) is performed substantially in the plane of flap body 4 and border 13 and it connects the folds located back to back of the tabs 8 and 9 on the one hand and 16 and 17 on the other hand.

Cette région extrémale 27 se retrouve donc du côté intérieur du pan d'habit, voir aussi figure 4.Then, as shown in Figure 3, we form by 180 ° folding of the flap edge 13 of the same side as the inner tabs 16 and 17, a central peripheral tab 19 and two tabs lateral peripherals 21. By this operation, the width of the arms 22 of the border 13 is thus reduced that it is substantially equal to the width L (Figure 1) of the Y formed by each bifurcated end 3 of the U-shaped slot 2. Each bifurcated end 3 defines between its inner branch 11 and its outer branch 23 a triangular cleanliness flap 24. We return the flaps 24 (Figure 3 and 4) towards the inside of the pan of clothing, by rotation of 180 ° around an axis 26, of so as to release an opening 25 (FIG. 4) in the pan of clothing at each bifurcated end of the slot in U. The region is then engaged in each opening 25 27 of the arm 22 corresponding to the edge 13. This extreme region 27 is therefore found on the side inside of the coat, see also figure 4.

Le bord supérieur 32 du contre-rabat 28 coïncide sensiblement avec l'extrémité supérieure des bras 22 de la bordure 13.At this stage, the peripheral tabs 19 are fixed and 21 of the border 13 a counter flap 28 which covers the entire rear face of the flap body 4 and the border 13. The counter flap 28 itself has a central peripheral tab 29 and two tabs lateral devices 31 by which it is fixed to peripheral tabs 19 and 21 respectively the border 13. The upper edge 32 of the counter flap 28 substantially coincides with the upper end of the arm 22 of border 13.

Figure 5 shows the situation seen from inside the pan of habit 1 at the end of the operations which have just been described. We practice in the pan habit 1, from the concave angles of the notch 6, oblique sections 33 which define along the notch 6 a central tongue 34 and two side tabs 36 which are turned 180 ° against the inside face of the habit pan 1 as viewed by circular arrows 37.

Les façades 43 et 46 sont situées entre le contre-rabat 28 et les parois externes 44 et 47.Figure 6 also shows the situation seen from the back of the coat. We are facing counter flap 28 and tabs 34 and 36 turned over from the indentation of the dress pan 1, two pieces of fabric 38, 39 folded 180 ° so that their folds 41 and 42 are located opposite each other with the each piece extending in opposite direction to the other piece from the respective fold. Regarding the room 38, fold 41 is the boundary between a facade upper pocket 43, and an outer wall upper pocket 44. Regarding the room 39, the fold 42 constitutes the limit between a facade lower pocket 46 and an outer wall lower 47 of the pocket. The facades 43 and 46 are located between the counter flap 28 and the outer walls 44 and 47.

We connect the upper facade 43 and the outer wall upper 44 to the counter flap 28 by a seam central 48, and tabs 36 by two seams lateral 52 (only one of which is visible in FIG. 6). The seam 48 extends along a line 49 of the counter flap 28 adjacent to the future hinge pin of the flap relative to the pan of habit 1, and a line corresponding 51 of the upper pocket front 43 and of the upper outer wall 44 of the pocket. The seam 48 will at the same time connect to the counter flap 28 and in piece 38 the ends 27 of the border 13 and the cleanliness flaps 24, see also figure 9. Each seam 52 connects on the one hand the articulation line 53 of the corresponding tongue 36 and on the other hand a corresponding line 54 of the upper pocket front 43 and the upper outer wall 44. Line 54 further includes an extension 56 across the facade lower 46 and the lower outer wall 47, of so that the seams 52 also help to fix to the periphery of the notch 6 the lower facade 46 and the lower external wall 47. Thus, the two parts 38 and 39 are precisely positioned one with respect to to the other.

In addition, seams 57 and 58 connect the part lower of the hinge line 53 of the tongue 36 and the hinge line 59 of the tongue central 34 of the notch 6 with respectively corresponding lines 61 and 62 of the lower facade 46. Seams 57 and 58 do not concern the wall lower outer 47 of the pocket.

Thus, the assembly formed by the two facades 43, 46 and the external walls 44, 47 of the pocket is fixed on all around the notch, directly to the fabric of the coat along the open edges of the notch, and at the counter flap 28 along the edge of the notch from which the flap starts.

The folds 41 and 42 constitute between them for user lifting the flap a side opening 63 giving access to the interior of the pocket.

Lorsque le rabat 64 est rabattu, il dissimule les façades 43, 46 et l'ouverture 63.Figure 10 shows the structure obtained seen from the outside of the coat, the flap 64 being shown raised, revealing through the notch 6, the upper facade 43, the lower facade 46 and the lateral opening 63 located between them. The body 4 flap 64 has no discontinuity with respect to to the side of habit 1, because in particular the seam 48 shown in Figure 6 did not concern the fabric of the pan of habit 1. When the flap 64 is folded, it conceals the facades 43, 46 and the opening 63.

Ainsi, après la pose du fond de poche, l'aspect extérieur de l'habit est toujours celui visible à la figure 10.Then, figure 11, we end the pocket by fixing a rectangular pocket bottom 66 both at the wall upper outer 44 and the lower outer wall 47, thanks to a peripheral seam 68 which can also relate to facades 43 and 46, the tongues 36, the counter flap 28 along the line of articulation between the flap and the side of the coat, the ends 27 of border 13, as well as the flaps of cleanliness 24. Seam 68 is also visible to Figures 7 and 8, where the pocket bottom 66 is shown in mixed line to allow a better distinction between situations before and after its implementation. We do in so that the seam 68 never concerns the fabric visible from the side of the coat. So after laying the bottom of pocket, the exterior appearance of the coat is always that visible in Figure 10.

In the example of Figures 12 to 14, which will not be describes that for its differences from the previous, the inner wall 78 of the pocket is of a single piece of the same dimensions as the internal wall 66. The two walls 66, 78 are intended to be assembled to each other by a peripheral seam 81, according to a line displayed by a dotted line on each of the two walls 66, 78 in FIG. 12.

Before this assembly, we formed in the wall external 78 a second U-shaped slot 82 whose dimensions correspond to those of the U-shaped slot 2 practiced in the section of article 1, the reverse side can be seen in figure 12. The correspondence of dimensions must allow the two slots 2, 82 to be overlap.

Slot 2 having already been formed in the pan item 1, place the bag itself, formed walls 66 and 78 assembled, against the section of the article 1 so that the outer wall 78 bears against the reverse side of section 1, and that slots 2 and 82 overlap.

We then form two seams, for example in a zigzag (Figures 13 and 14), one 83 joining the edges interiors of the U-shaped slots 2 and 82, the other 84 joining the outer edges of the U-shaped slots 2 and 82. As shown in Figure 14, these seams can remain visible on the right side of the article, but we can also hide at least one of them by means of an added border.

In this embodiment of the invention, the zone 88 formed in the outer wall 78 inside the U-shaped slot 82 against the flap fixed directly to the flap body 4 by the seam 83. The seams 83 and 84 may be the only links between the pocket proper 66, 78 on the one hand and the section of article 1 on the other hand.

In this embodiment, the pocket flap 74 takes on a new function because we can get our hands in the pocket also by pushing the flap towards inside the pocket.

Of course, the invention is not limited to the example described and shown. The flap could have any outline that one may wish for reasons aesthetic or otherwise, for example oval instead of rectangular.

Compared to the example in Figures 1 to 11, it is not not compulsory to provide a flap border. We could for example place a border around the notch. The flap is also not mandatory because the upper edge of the pocket could not be fixed. The counter flap, if provided, could be made in one piece with the facade of pocket. We could also combine into one piece the two pieces 38 and 39 by means of the pocket bottom which would connect in one piece the upper edge of the upper outer wall and the lower edge of the lower outer wall of the pocket.

One could fix the pocket 66, 78 of FIG. 12, provided with the U-shaped slot 82, to a side of a split article as described with reference to Figures 1 to 11. If the indentation of the coat is enlarged by folding tabs 34, 36 as described, the U-shaped slot at achieve in the outer wall 78 of the pocket must be larger than slot 2 in the pan of habit. But we can on the contrary fix a border the along the indentation of the coat and hem the body flap, which will ultimately be a plus size smaller than the U-shaped slot originally formed in the pan of habit. In this case the U-shaped slot 82 in the wall external 78 must have with respect to the slot in U 2, a correspondingly reduced size.
