Abstract

The inside of the sack is divided by at least one wall (10a,10b) of tear-resistant material extending between two opposing side walls (1) into at least two chambers (12a,12b,12c). The dividing wall has openings allowing exchange of material between the chambers. The flexible wall is preferably made of the same flexible material as the sack. The vertical edges of the dividing wall are welded to the inside of the outer skin. Additional flexible diagonal walls (11d) can extend between adjoining side walls and leave openings in their plane.

Description

The invention relates to a large bag for pourable and / or flowable goods, with a made of flexible material, e.g. tear-resistant film, existing casing, which is composed of all-round closed side walls and an upper and a lower end wall, each of which is provided with a closable hose attachment for filling or emptying the interior of the large bag.

Large bags of this type are mostly listed under the technical term "flexible bulk goods container". They consist of an outer skin made of a tear-resistant material and enclosing a filling volume of at least 0.5 m 3 . This material is usually a film that is reinforced with a fabric insert. The side walls of the large bag are closed, while the top and bottom of the large bag is formed by end walls which are connected to the side walls by welding the corresponding film webs. The upper and lower end walls are each provided with openings which are surrounded by hose attachments welded to the end walls.

To fill the large bag, the lower hose attachment is closed by suitable clamps or ropes, the large bag is placed on a base, for example an industrial pallet, and then the respective goods are filled in via the upper hose attachment. This can be a liquid or at least a conditionally flowable bulk material. After filling the bag, the upper tube attachment is then sealed weatherproof. The large bag is then available for the transportation of the goods contained therein. To make things easier During transportation, the large bag is provided with carrying loops so that the loot can be lifted and transported by a crane or the forks of a forklift. The filled large bag is emptied via the lower hose attachment after the large bag has been lifted over the emptying point, for example a bulk material funnel, by means of a suitable conveying device.

A disadvantage of the known large bags is that they have a relatively large space requirement when set up freely. The reason for this is the bulging of the flexible outer skin of the large bag as a result of the bulk material pressure acting from the inside. If the large bag mentioned is placed on an industrial pallet, its outer walls usually bulge beyond the basic cross-section of the pallet. The known large bags are therefore only suitable to a limited extent for being sold in large rack stores for industrial pallets.

To avoid these disadvantages, it is already known to use the large bags in rectangular frame frames, and in this way to bring them into a space-saving rectangular shape. However, these frames are complex and lead to additional costs and work steps.

The invention is based on the object to create a big bag for pourable and / or flowable goods which manages waiving additional technical aids with a small storage area.

To solve this problem it is proposed in a large bag of the type mentioned that the interior is divided into at least two chambers by at least one wall made of tensile material and extending between two opposite side walls, openings being provided in the plane of the wall, which enable material to be exchanged between the chambers.

Such a large bag bulges very little when filled. It therefore comes with a small storage area and is particularly suitable for space-saving storage in modern high-bay warehouses. Additional, External technical aids that prevent the large bag from bulging too much are not required.

In a preferred development of the large bag, the wall consists of flexible material, preferably of the same material as the sleeve, and the vertical edges of the wall are fastened to the inside of the outer skin that is continuous in this area, preferably by welding.

A further embodiment of the invention is characterized by additional flexible diagonal walls, which extend between two adjacent side walls and leave openings in their plane. The diagonal walls lead to a further improvement in the maintenance of the basic shape of the large bag even with high internal pressures due to the enclosed pourable or flowable goods.

With regard to its shape behavior, a large bag has been found to be particularly suitable, which is characterized by two shorter and two longer side walls, which together form a rectangle with an aspect ratio of about 2: 3, and walls which each extend between the longer side walls, and divide the interior into substantially equal chambers, and further diagonal walls, each of which extends between the center line of the shorter side wall and the line on which the nearest wall meets the longer side wall.

The compressive forces of the bulk material in the bulk bag acting on the walls and diagonal walls are absorbed particularly effectively if both the walls and the diagonal walls are provided with vertical edge strips, and in the area of the line on which the walls and the diagonal walls on the longer side wall the edge strips point towards the center of the longer side wall.

For better transmission of the tensile forces acting in the walls and diagonal walls, it is also proposed that the edge strips of the wall and diagonal wall are connected to one another, preferably by welding.

In order to enable the most unhindered material exchange between the individual chambers within the interior, the openings arranged in the planes of the walls and diagonal walls are at different heights. The back and forth sloshing of the material is reduced especially when transporting liquids.

Finally, it is proposed in a preferred embodiment of the large bag that the openings have the shape of elongated horizontal ovals in the walls or diagonal walls. In this way, large-area openings are created with sufficient stretch-resistant design of the walls and diagonal walls.

The large bag shown in the drawing with a volume of at least 0.5 m 3 consists essentially of a tear-resistant film or a tear-resistant fabric material. A fabric made of polyester fibers, which is PVC-coated on both sides, has proven particularly useful. If food is to be transported in the large bag, it is advisable to coat it with polyurethane at least on the inside.

The overall flexible bag has the basic shape of a block with right-angled corners and edges. A comparison of Figures 1 and 2 shows in the embodiment, a design with two longer side walls 1 and two shorter side walls 2. In addition to these side walls 1, 2, an outer end wall 3 and a lower end wall 4 also belong to the outer skin of the large bag. Upper end wall 3 and lower End wall 4 are tightly welded to the side walls 1, 2, which are closed on all sides. Both end walls 3, 4 have a circular opening in their center, which continues in a tube extension 5, 6. The lower end wall 4 can have an approximately frustoconical contour, so that bulk material located thereon can slide off in the manner of a funnel and can exit through the lower hose attachment 6. Both hose attachments 5,6 can be closed for transport, e.g. by compressing the hose attachment 5 or by folding the hose attachment 6 along an edge 7 formed there.

To fill the large bag, the lower tube attachment 6 is first closed, and then the large bag is placed on a suitable surface, e.g. an industrial pallet. As a result of the flexibility of the entire outer skin, the lower end wall 4 with the hose attachment 6 attached is slightly turned inwards, so that the large bag rests on the base along the plane 8 shown in FIG. 1. Then the large bag is filled via the upper hose attachment 5, which is also finally closed. The transport of the large bag so ready for dispatch can take place via several carrying loops 9 fastened at the corners.

In order to prevent the side walls 1, 2 of the substantially block-shaped large bag from bulging too much under the pressure of the pourable or flowable material contained therein, there are walls 10a, 10b and diagonal walls 11a, 11b, 11c, 11d inside the large bag. These walls and Diagonal walls are indicated by dashed lines in FIG. 3. The walls 10a, 10b each extend between the two longer side walls 1. The vertical walls 10a, 10b are arranged in such a way that the walls 10a, 10b divide the interior of the large bag into three equally large chambers 12a, 12b, 12c becomes. The end chambers 12a, 12c are again divided by the diagonal walls 11a, 11b, 11c, 11d. Each of these diagonal walls extends between the center line 13 of the shorter side wall 2 and that line 14 on which the nearest wall 10a or 10b meets the longer side wall 1. The diagonal walls 11a, 11b, 11c, 11d therefore together with the associated side walls 1, 2 form chambers 15 in the form of right-angled triangles in the corners of the large bag.

The connection between the walls 10a, 10b or diagonal walls 11a, 11b, 11c, 11d and the inner sides of the outer skin takes place by welding the foils involved. To increase the connecting area, the walls 10a, 10b and diagonal walls 11a, 11b, 11c, 11d are each provided with vertical edge strips 16, 17 which, as can be seen in FIG. 5, lie flat against the inside of the outer skin and are welded there. The tensile forces acting on the connecting surfaces can be absorbed particularly well without the risk of tearing off if, as can be seen in FIG. 5, the edge strips 16 and 17 of the walls 10a, 10b and diagonal walls 11a, 11b, 11c, 11d in the area that line 14, on which the walls and the diagonal walls meet the longer side wall 1, point towards the center of the longer side wall 1. In this area, the edge strips 16, 17 of wall 10a or 10b and the associated diagonal wall 11a, 11b or 11c, 11d are also welded to one another and only then welded to the inside of the outer skin.

So that the walls and diagonal walls do not hinder the exchange of the filled bulk material, walls 10a, 10b and diagonal walls 11a, 11b, 11c, 11d have openings 18 in the form of elongated horizontal ovals and cutouts 18a at the lower and upper edges. These openings are shown in FIGS. 4a and 4b on the one hand for the walls and on the other hand for the diagonal walls. The openings 18 are each at different heights in order to avoid excessive sloshing of the goods, particularly in the case of the storage of a flowable goods.

Walls and diagonal walls are made of a stretch-free, flexible material, e.g. the fabric-reinforced film that is also used for the outer skin.
