Abstract

Roll-up covering device, namely for covering a basin (2), such as a swimming-pool, comprising, on the one hand, a flexible covering sheet (3) of a size adapted to that of the basin (2) to be covered, capable of being rolled up around a roll-up bar (12) which it is integral with at the level of one of its transversal edges (10) and, on the other hand, reinforcing bars (4), arranged transversally, which said covering sheet (3) is made integral with, characterised in that said reinforcing bars (4) are formed of profile bars with an approximately triangular cross-section comprising, on the one hand, a base (20) through which these profile bars are aimed at resting on the edge (7, 8) of the basin (2) to be covered and, on the other hand, at least one side (21) oriented towards said roll-up bar (12) when the covering device (1) is unfolded, forming, with the base (20), an acute angle (22) smaller than 70°.
  2. Covering device (1) according to claim 1, characterised in that the reinforcing bars (4) are inserted into sheathes (25) transversally provided for on the upper face of the covering sheet (1).
  3. Covering device according to claim 1, characterised in that the profile bar forming a reinforcing bar (4) is in the form of a grooved profile bar with which are made integral the transversal edges (26, 27) provided with a retaining strip (28) of covering-sheet segments (29) extending between two successive reinforcing bars (4).
  4. Covering device according to claim 3, characterised in that the grooved profile bar forming a reinforcing bar (4) includes a groove (30, 30A) capable of receiving a retaining strip (28) of a covering-sheet segment (29) preferably extending alongside each of the longitudinal edges (31, 32) of the base (20).
  5. Covering device according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the slanted side (21) has a concave or convex shape.
  6. Covering device according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the side (23) completing the triangular cross-section of a profile bar forming a reinforcing bar (4) extends about perpendicularly to the base (20), this side (23) being rectilinear or convex.
  7. Covering device according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that through the thickness of the sides (21) and (23) corresponding to the profile bar defining a reinforcing bar (4) the weight of said sides (21) and (23) is determined so as to limit or cancel out the offset between the centre of gravity (G) of said profile bar and its vertical median plane (P).

Covering device according to any of the claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the reinforcing bars (4) located, with respect to the roll-up bar (12), in the first half (18) of the covering sheet (3) maintain between each other a distance varying from 1.2 to 1.3 metres, preferably from 1.22 to 1.27 metres.
  9. Covering device according to claim 8, characterised in that the distance between the last two or three reinforcing bars (4A, 4B, 4C) of the covering sheet (3), this with respect to the direction of rolling up (12) of the latter, maintains between them a distance defined according to the size of the base (2), in order to adjust the length of the covering sheet (3) accordingly.
  10. Covering device according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that a reinforcing bar (4) includes, at the level of its ends (5, 6), a protection flange (33) fixed against the base (20).
  11. Covering device according to claim 10, characterised in that the protection flange (33) is in the shape of a profile bar made out of a synthetic material and capable of being inserted onto the ends (5, 6) of the reinforcing bars (4) through gripping the longitudinal edges (31, 32) of the base (20).
  12. Covering device according to claim 11, characterised in that at the level of the base (20) of a profile bar forming a reinforcing bar (4) is provided for at least a "T"-shaped groove (34) capable of receiving a rib (35) of a conjugated shape a profiled protection flange (33) made of a synthetic material is provided with.
