Definitions
- the invention relates to a firearm, in particular a self-loading pistol, with at least one barrel and a breech, in which the barrel and the breech are arranged to be movable relative to the rest of the weapon and / or relative to one another and the barrel is guided through a guide bore in the breech.
- the "Colt Browning System” is based on such an arrangement.
- the firing of a shot is followed by various relative movements of mechanical components of the firearm.
- the barrel and the breech of the weapon perform a common longitudinal movement.
- the barrel is additionally tilted relative to the breech.
- considerable play is required between the outside of the barrel and the inside of the guide bore in the closure.
- such a game is required to absorb thermal expansion of the barrel. After firing a first shot with a "cold" weapon, these are greater than the thermal expansion of the guide bore, which gradually assumes the same temperature as the barrel. It should be noted that despite the thermal expansion effect, it must still be possible to tilt the barrel in the guide bore. Finally, the game is needed to prevent the weapon from jamming if it gets dirty.
- the accuracy of the gun's shooting is considerably impaired by the game. More precisely, the range within which all shots fired at a target are located is enlarged. This effect is reinforced, at least for the first shot after a reloading process, when cartridges are partly automatically and partly manually reloaded. This results in a different closing of the weapon, which is due to the different loading speeds.
- the first shot usually turns out to be a deep shot.
- the invention is therefore intended to increase the firing accuracy of the weapons described at the outset without having to accept the disadvantages mentioned.
- a firearm in particular a self-loading pistol
- at least one barrel and a breech in which the barrel and the breech are arranged so as to be movable relative to the rest of the weapon and / or relative to one another and the barrel in the process are at least guided through a guide hole in the closure.
- centering means are provided in such a way that they center the barrel with respect to jamming with respect to at least one axis.
- the centering means are designed to be wholly or partially resilient (claim 2).
- centering means for example a centering bead
- a careful adjustment of the centering means, for example a centering bead, to the guide bore is not necessary. This makes it possible, for example, to issue replacement runs of different origins directly to the troop. Soiling, for example grains of sand, are no longer ground by the centering means, for example a centering bead. Rather, they can easily slide over them, thereby drastically reducing their wear.
- the centering means are preferably resilient due to their choice of material and / or shape (claim 3).
- the centering means are made entirely or partially of resilient elastic rubber and / or plastic (claim 4), the rubber and / or plastic preferably having self-lubricating properties (claim 5).
- Such embodiments enable a particularly simple and therefore inexpensive manufacture of weapons according to the invention. There is also the possibility of replacing the centering device after damage, regardless of the barrel or the lock. This results in considerable economic advantages. In particular, the full life of the barrel or the breech can be exhausted.
- a suitable selection of the plastic not only enables sufficient heat resistance, as well as resistance to oils and other agents for cleaning, care and preservation of the metal parts of weapons, but also an enormous durability of the elasticity and a high abrasion resistance, that of spring steel around Exceeds many times.
- plastic centering agents are easy to manufacture, even if they are to be of complex shape. For example, cavities or profiling of the outer surface could be provided as receiving spaces for wiped off dirt.
- Self-lubricating properties are particularly advantageous for weapons that should still work properly even with unusually weakly loaded ammunition. For example, this is necessary when using subsonic ammunition for indoor shooting ranges or silencers.
- the centering means are wholly or partially made of the same or similar material as the barrel and / or the closure (claim 6), preferably at least one resilient part of the centering means consisting of a spring wire bent into a coil (Claim 7). In another preferred embodiment, at least part of the centering means is formed in one piece with the barrel or the closure (claim 8).
- the elastic compliance is achieved according to claim 3 by a suitable shape.
- a centering bead of the known type to be radially larger than before and to turn it in such a way that it forms a sheet-like thin, bent flange. This can be cut in a star-like manner, so that resilient tabs are formed, which can bear against the inner wall of the guide bore under slight prestress.
- a centering bead is particularly advantageous, which is formed from a spiral spring closed into a ring;
- a steel can be used as the spring wire, which is the same or similar to the running steel, or another metal that has special sliding properties or is inert against corrosion, such as brass, compared to the steel on which it rests.
- At least some of the centering means have thermal expansion, which essentially corresponds to the radial thermal expansion of the barrel and / or the closure (claim 9) and is in any case not significantly greater. This has the advantage that all components expand evenly. For example, an initially selected pretension is essentially kept constant or is always reset.
- At least a part of the centering means is preferably essentially annular (claim 10), particularly preferably at least a ring-shaped part of the centering means sits in an annular groove which is introduced into the outer surface of the barrel or the inner or front surface of the closure (claim 11) .
- the old centering bead can, for example, be removed from the annular groove using a simple push-off or pull-off device and stripped off the barrel. But there is also the possibility to destroy or cut it in the ring groove. For example, a new centering bead can be stretched and then opened.
- suitable plastics there is also the possibility, alternatively or additionally, of reducing the circumference of the centering bead in the ring groove, so that it certainly maintains its position when the weapon is in use, in particular that it cannot get out of the ring groove.
- plastics can be used which are capable of heat shrinkage.
- a plastic ring could be included every 1,000 pieces will.
- At least one reserve plastic ring could also be stored on the weapon itself, for example in a recess in the magazine base or on the side of a grip shell facing the grip of a handgun.
- At least part of the guide bore is essentially cylindrical and at least part of the centering means is designed as at least one centering bead. At least one centering bead is located inside the guide bore at least before a shot is fired (claim 12). This centering bead preferably lies against the inner wall of the guide bore or the outer wall of the barrel, at least before a shot is fired with slight prestress (claim 13).
- the centering bead acts as a wiper in this embodiment. If dirt, sand or the like has entered the guide bore or the barrel before or during the shot, the centering bead cleans the guide bore or the barrel during the shot. Problems caused by dirt, for example when the shooter jumps into a mud hole, can be avoided in this way.
- At least a portion of the guide bore and / or a closure attachment in front of the guide bore and at least a portion of the barrel and / or a barrel attachment on the barrel are conical or concave and convex in a corresponding manner. These areas work together centering.
- Such an embodiment has the advantage that the required play can be minimized from the outset. If, after firing a first shot, for example, the barrel initially expands more than the diameter of the guide bore, the locking movement is only stopped earlier even when the centering means are fixed than when the weapon is cold. The conical angle or the degree of curvature of the conical or convex running area is retained. Therefore is a jam-free Centering guaranteed even with uneven thermal expansion of barrel and bolt and with solid centering agents. If you also use the advantages of elastic centering means described above, you get a combination of barrel and breech that is almost completely free of play and insensitive to thermal expansion and contamination.
- the guide bore is of any shape.
- Part of the centering means is formed on a portion of the barrel that protrudes from the guide bore at least before a shot is fired.
- These outer barrel centering means cooperate with an outer portion of the breech and / or a breech attachment, at least before a shot is fired under contact pressure.
- the outer barrel centering means preferably comprise resilient and resilient parts, the fixed parts serving to attach the outer barrel centering means to the barrel. This is preferably done by screwing the outer barrel centering means to the barrel.
- the contact surfaces of the outer barrel centering means and the outer region of the closure and / or the closure attachment that they touch correspond to one another.
- centering means described above can, for example, be profiled on their centering surface areas, e.g. B. be nubbed.
- FIG. 1 shows a self-loading pistol of the Colt Browning principle in the locked state.
- a barrel 1 passes through a guide bore 3 of a breech or slide 2 in the region of its mouth. Sufficient play remains so that the slide 2 with its guide bore 3 can move backwards unimpeded after the firing of a shot even if the barrel 1 after the Unlocking with its rear end is tilted down a little compared to the position shown.
- This game is shown in Fig. 2 and decreases after the first shot, when the barrel 1 increases in scope due to its heating, while the carriage 2 is not yet heated. (As a result, the inside diameter of the guide bore 3 remains unchanged.)
- a circumferential groove 5 is made in the area of this play in the outer surface of the barrel 1, in which a plastic ring 4 is seated.
- This is made of resilient, resilient material. In the position shown in FIG. 1, it bears against the inner surface of the guide bore 3 with a slight pretension.
- the plastic ring 4 always centers the barrel 1 with respect to the guide bore 3 and thus the carriage 2, which carries the sight. The warming or pollution has little influence on this centering, so that the hit position is more even. If dirt has accumulated in the play area, it is removed when shot through the plastic ring 4 as if by a wiper. Otherwise, the plastic ring 4 buffers the impact caused by the barrel 1 and slide 2 at the end of the locking movement against the handle (FIG. 1), since the slide 2 is braked by the plastic ring 4 at the end of its closing movement.
- a toroidal ring with an outer diameter of 14 mm and a body diameter of 1 mm (14 * 1) made of a vulcanizable fluoroelastomer based on vinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropylene copolymers, which is sold under the name "Viton" is known, especially proven.
- the mouth end of the closure 2, which is penetrated by the guide bore 3, has a contact surface 10 on its free end face, which extends perpendicular to the guide bore 3.
- the barrel 1 protrudes a little forward over the guide bore 3 and has an external thread at its mouth, via which a sleeve 11 is screwed on.
- This sleeve 11 has on the mouth side an inwardly extending radial flange 12, which, however, does not extend to the barrel bore extends. This sleeve thus serves to protect the mouth of the barrel 1 from damage.
- the sleeve 11 has on its inside of its rear end facing the closure 2 a shoulder or an annular groove 15 open to the rear, which runs radially to the barrel 1. In it sits a plastic ring 7 made of resilient or elastic material, which has a rectangular cross section. The plastic ring 7 can sit tight on the outer surface of the barrel 1 and is fixed relative to this.
- the rear of the plastic ring 7 forms a surface which is radial to the axis of the barrel 1 and which, in the position shown, sits tightly on the contact surface 10 before a shot is fired.
- the axis of the barrel 1 is aligned substantially parallel to that of the guide bore 3, so that the barrel 1 is centered relative to this. If the barrel 1 should be arranged off-center in relation to the guide bore 3 from the outset, this has no effect on the accuracy of the shot; for these it is only essential that the relative angular position of the barrel 1 to the component carrying the sighting device, for example the closure 2, does not change from shot to shot.
- FIG. 4 shows a preferred embodiment of an elastic centering ring 4 ′, which can be used instead of or in addition to the rings 4, 5, 7 used in the embodiments of FIGS. 1 to 3 and 5.
- the centering ring 4 ' consists of a helical spring which is closed into a ring. Their ends are hooked together. It can consist of spring steel wire or another suitable material, such as brass or plastic.
- FIG. 5 shows a conical plastic ring 6, which is in an annular groove 5 'around a front region of the barrel 1 sits, and a conical recess 3 'corresponding to the plastic ring 6 in the front region of the guide bore 3.
- the inside of the conical recess 3' presses the plastic ring 6 with the force F1. This results in a play-free self-centering.
- the plastic ring 6 can also be screwed onto the front running end.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a firearm, in particular a self-loading pistol, with at least one barrel and a breech, in which the barrel and the breech are arranged to be movable relative to the rest of the weapon and / or relative to one another and the barrel is guided through a guide bore in the breech.
The "Colt Browning System", for example, is based on such an arrangement. There, the firing of a shot is followed by various relative movements of mechanical components of the firearm. In particular, the barrel and the breech of the weapon perform a common longitudinal movement. The barrel is additionally tilted relative to the breech. In order to enable this sequence of movements, in particular the tilting of the barrel in the guide bore, considerable play is required between the outside of the barrel and the inside of the guide bore in the closure. In addition, such a game is required to absorb thermal expansion of the barrel.
However, the accuracy of the gun's shooting is considerably impaired by the game. More precisely, the range within which all shots fired at a target are located is enlarged. This effect is reinforced, at least for the first shot after a reloading process, when cartridges are partly automatically and partly manually reloaded. This results in a different closing of the weapon, which is due to the different loading speeds. The first shot usually turns out to be a deep shot.
These disadvantages are to be remedied, for example, in an edition of US military pistols (model 1911 A1) modified for sporting purposes. For this purpose, the guide bore is enlarged and a new barrel is used, which has a fixed centering bead on its outside. The centering bead is arranged so that it is inside the guide bore before a shot is fired and is relatively close to the inner wall of the guide bore. The diameter of the centering bead must be carefully matched to that of the guide bore. A smooth and quick change of the barrel is therefore not possible with the usual tolerances in the outer diameter. In addition, in view of the thermal expansion of the barrel occurring during firing and thus also the centering bead, there is a need to prevent jamming by suitable lubrication and the firing of heavily loaded cartridges. Finally, an unsolved problem of this embodiment is dealing with soiling. Even to a small extent, they lead to rapid wear of the centering bead due to abrasion. For these reasons, the solution described was for military Purposes, such as an ordnance weapon, have so far been practically unused. Nevertheless, increased shooting accuracy was and is highly desirable, especially for military purposes. Although these problems have been known for over eighty years, no solution has so far been found.
The invention is therefore intended to increase the firing accuracy of the weapons described at the outset without having to accept the disadvantages mentioned.
It achieves this goal with the subject matter of
In a preferred embodiment, the centering means are designed to be wholly or partially resilient (claim 2).
In this way, jamming of the barrel in the guide bore is particularly easily avoided. A careful adjustment of the centering means, for example a centering bead, to the guide bore is not necessary. This makes it possible, for example, to issue replacement runs of different origins directly to the troop. Soiling, for example grains of sand, are no longer ground by the centering means, for example a centering bead. Rather, they can easily slide over them, thereby drastically reducing their wear.
The centering means are preferably resilient due to their choice of material and / or shape (claim 3). In a particularly preferred embodiment, the centering means are made entirely or partially of resilient elastic rubber and / or plastic (claim 4), the rubber and / or plastic preferably having self-lubricating properties (claim 5).
Such embodiments enable a particularly simple and therefore inexpensive manufacture of weapons according to the invention. There is also the possibility of replacing the centering device after damage, regardless of the barrel or the lock. This results in considerable economic advantages. In particular, the full life of the barrel or the breech can be exhausted.
Furthermore, a suitable selection of the plastic not only enables sufficient heat resistance, as well as resistance to oils and other agents for cleaning, care and preservation of the metal parts of weapons, but also an enormous durability of the elasticity and a high abrasion resistance, that of spring steel around Exceeds many times.
Another advantage of plastic centering agents is that they are easy to manufacture, even if they are to be of complex shape. For example, cavities or profiling of the outer surface could be provided as receiving spaces for wiped off dirt.
Self-lubricating properties are particularly advantageous for weapons that should still work properly even with unusually weakly loaded ammunition. For example, this is necessary when using subsonic ammunition for indoor shooting ranges or silencers.
In a further preferred embodiment, the centering means are wholly or partially made of the same or similar material as the barrel and / or the closure (claim 6), preferably at least one resilient part of the centering means consisting of a spring wire bent into a coil (Claim 7). In another preferred embodiment, at least part of the centering means is formed in one piece with the barrel or the closure (claim 8).
The elastic compliance is achieved according to
These embodiments have the advantage that for arsenal storage, for example, no special material of the centering bead has to be taken into account, which could be attacked by metal preservative grease, for example. This would also ensure a similar aging resistance of all components of the weapon. Finally, the insensitivity of the centering bead to high temperatures could be increased.
In a further preferred embodiment, at least some of the centering means have thermal expansion, which essentially corresponds to the radial thermal expansion of the barrel and / or the closure (claim 9) and is in any case not significantly greater. This has the advantage that all components expand evenly. For example, an initially selected pretension is essentially kept constant or is always reset.
At least a part of the centering means is preferably essentially annular (claim 10), particularly preferably at least a ring-shaped part of the centering means sits in an annular groove which is introduced into the outer surface of the barrel or the inner or front surface of the closure (claim 11) .
This has the advantage that the replacement of the annular parts of the centering means, for example an annular, resilient centering bead, is particularly simple. The old centering bead can, for example, be removed from the annular groove using a simple push-off or pull-off device and stripped off the barrel. But there is also the possibility to destroy or cut it in the ring groove. For example, a new centering bead can be stretched and then opened. If suitable plastics are used, there is also the possibility, alternatively or additionally, of reducing the circumference of the centering bead in the ring groove, so that it certainly maintains its position when the weapon is in use, in particular that it cannot get out of the ring groove. For this purpose, plastics can be used which are capable of heat shrinkage. It would then be possible, for example, to slide the plastic ring effortlessly over the barrel into the ring groove and then to heat it over a hotplate or a lighter. A particularly simple supply of spare parts for a troop is also possible in this way. For example, when replenishing cartridges, a plastic ring could be included every 1,000 pieces will. At least one reserve plastic ring could also be stored on the weapon itself, for example in a recess in the magazine base or on the side of a grip shell facing the grip of a handgun.
In a preferred embodiment, at least part of the guide bore is essentially cylindrical and at least part of the centering means is designed as at least one centering bead. At least one centering bead is located inside the guide bore at least before a shot is fired (claim 12). This centering bead preferably lies against the inner wall of the guide bore or the outer wall of the barrel, at least before a shot is fired with slight prestress (claim 13).
This has the advantage in particular in the case of an elastically resilient centering bead that there is no play before the first shot is fired. At this point the weapon is "cold" or evenly warmed. As a result, the barrel and the breech are expanded to the same extent, so that the game is greatest here with known weapons. (The reason for this is: well-known weapons have to take into account the dimensions of the barrel and breech which initially differ in size. The barrel at least initially heats up faster and stronger than the breech and thus also expands more than the latter). In this way the play-free barrel can achieve its full theoretical precision when firing. In principle, it does not matter whether the centering bead is attached to the barrel or inside the guide bore. Only with a view to the fact that the barrel should be tilted relative to the breech, it can be advantageous to attach the centering bead to the barrel. As soon as this area of the barrel has left the guide hole, there is play to tip over. However, it is also possible to use a suitable shape and / or Material choice of the centering bead to make such a game unnecessary.
In addition, the centering bead acts as a wiper in this embodiment. If dirt, sand or the like has entered the guide bore or the barrel before or during the shot, the centering bead cleans the guide bore or the barrel during the shot. Problems caused by dirt, for example when the shooter jumps into a mud hole, can be avoided in this way.
Finally, the barrel is braked evenly by "squeezing" the resilient centering bead when the weapon is closed. (The "closing process" here means the reentry of the centering bead into the guide bore.) This has the advantage that the weapon can be fired more softly and is therefore also less subject to wear than other components.
In a further preferred embodiment, at least a portion of the guide bore and / or a closure attachment in front of the guide bore and at least a portion of the barrel and / or a barrel attachment on the barrel are conical or concave and convex in a corresponding manner. These areas work together centering.
Such an embodiment has the advantage that the required play can be minimized from the outset.
In a further preferred embodiment, the guide bore is of any shape. Part of the centering means is formed on a portion of the barrel that protrudes from the guide bore at least before a shot is fired. These outer barrel centering means cooperate with an outer portion of the breech and / or a breech attachment, at least before a shot is fired under contact pressure. The outer barrel centering means preferably comprise resilient and resilient parts, the fixed parts serving to attach the outer barrel centering means to the barrel. This is preferably done by screwing the outer barrel centering means to the barrel. In addition, the contact surfaces of the outer barrel centering means and the outer region of the closure and / or the closure attachment that they touch correspond to one another.
This simple but effective variant enables easy retrofitting of old firearms. To do this, the old barrel only has to be converted or replaced with a corresponding new one. Otherwise, most of the embodiments described above can also be applied to this alternative. The advantages mentioned there are largely achieved.
The centering means described above (centering ring, centering bead, centering cone etc.) can, for example, be profiled on their centering surface areas, e.g. B. be nubbed.

(Dies hat zur Folge, daß der Innendurchmesser der Führungsbohrung 3 unverändert bleibt.)1 shows a self-loading pistol of the Colt Browning principle in the locked state. A
In der in Fig. 1 gezeigten Lage, liegt er mit geringer Vorspannung gegen die Innenoberfläche der Führungsbohrung 3 an.As can be seen from FIG. 2, a
The plastic ring 4 always centers the
In the formation of the centering bead 4 in accordance with FIG. 2 there is a toroidal ring with an outer diameter of 14 mm and a body diameter of 1 mm (14 * 1) made of a vulcanizable fluoroelastomer based on vinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropylene copolymers, which is sold under the name "Viton" is known, especially proven.
In Fig. 3, the mouth end of the
The
The rear of the plastic ring 7 forms a surface which is radial to the axis of the
Sie kann aus Federstahldraht oder einem anderen, geeigneten Material bestehen, etwa Messing oder Kunststoff.FIG. 4 shows a preferred embodiment of an elastic centering ring 4 ′, which can be used instead of or in addition to the
Grundsätzilch kann der Kunststoffring 6 auch auf das vordere Laufende aufgeschraubt sein.5 shows a conical plastic ring 6, which is in an annular groove 5 'around a front region of the
