Definitions
- the present invention relates to a contactor device electromagnetic according to the preamble of claim 1 (see for example FR-A-2 579 369), comprising an envelope formed by a base and a housing assembled to each other and housing the power poles and an electromagnet provided a coil whose body has power supply terminals on one side.
- the coil terminals are usually located on the upstream side of the contactor; or when assembling electrical equipment, for example a contactor and a thermal relay, the relay being preferably placed downstream of the contactor, the user cannot group the terminals of the contactor coil and the thermal relay terminals on the same side to facilitate their control. The user therefore has no choice of the arrangement of the coil wiring.
- the devices form a one-piece assembly, and if the terminals of the coil are arranged on the side from the circuit breaker, they then become inaccessible.
- a three-pole contactor has three ranges upstream and downstream of connection of the poles which lead to the outside of the contactor body and which are evenly spaced across the width of the transverse walls of the body.
- the two coil terminals are located so that they are accessible for their wiring, either in the free spaces between the connection pads, or on the sides outside the two end pads.
- a four-pole contactor comprises, with respect to the three-pole contactor, an additional connection range upstream and downstream, so that the ranges are offset from those of a three-pole contactor. It is therefore impossible to use a coil identical to that of a three-pole contactor because the terminals would not coincide with the free spaces outside the beaches of connection and would therefore be inaccessible for their wiring.
- Each type of contactor therefore requires two separate coils which is not economically advantageous.
- the present invention therefore aims to provide an apparatus contactor switch provided with a coil whose supply terminals can both be located downstream or upstream of the contactor and whose arrangement of terminals allow easy access to them regardless of the type of contactor.
- the present invention relates to a contactor whose household envelope between the base and the housing a housing capable of receiving the supply terminals of the coil and is characterized in that the envelope has symmetrically to the first housing a second housing also formed between the base and the housing and having a section substantially identical to that of the first housing of so as to receive the side of the coil provided with terminals after turning the coil, the housing opposite to that receiving the terminals being closed.
- This feature allows the coil to be placed in the desired direction in order to orient the supply terminals on the downstream side or on the upstream side of the contactor.
- the coil body advantageously comprises on the side of said terminals two additional supply terminals which are each connected electrically with one of the other two terminals.
- Terminal spacing is determined so that one of the two pairs of terminals is accessible when the contactor is provided with connection pads three-pole and that the second pair of terminals is accessible when the contactor is with four-pole connection pads.
- the contactor device 1 visible in FIG. 1 comprises an envelope 10 formed of a base 2, of a housing 3 assembled to the base, of a cover 4 mounting above the housing, and determining transverse walls 11 and walls 11a.
- the housing 3 houses the power poles each intended to establish or cut the current on a contactor line. Each pole ensures a cut double and has two fixed contacts which cooperate with two movable contacts a contact bridge carried by a contact carrier. The fixed contacts are connected to straight connection pads 30 opening onto the outside of the contactor body by openings in the transverse walls 11.
- the base 2 has a sole 20 suitable for fixing the device to a rail.
- the base houses a motor assembly equipped with a control electromagnet, visible in Figure 2.
- the control electromagnet consists of a cylinder head 50 E-shaped forming the fixed magnetic circuit, a coil 51 which surrounds the central branch 50a of the magnetic circuit and which is supplied by a source of current, and an E-shaped movable armature 52 providing the magnetic circuit mobile and mechanically connected to the contact carrier.
- the coil 51 of the electromagnet comprises a carcass which forms a coil body 53 outside of which the coil wire is wound.
- the coil body household in its center a recess 53a for engaging the coil on the central branch 50a of the E-shaped fixed magnetic circuit.
- the coil body carries two parallel conductors 54a, 54b each carrying two at their end supply terminals A1, A1 'and respectively A2, A2', which are therefore respectively electrically connected to each other.
- the two conductors are connected to their other end respectively at the two ends of the coil wire for coil power.
- the housing 60 provided in the base 2 for the coil has a symmetrical configuration.
- a first housing 12 and a second housing 13 of section substantially identical are formed between the base and the housing, projecting from to the transverse walls 11 of the casing of the contactor. They are intended to receive the coil carcass and more particularly the conductors 54a and 54b carrying terminals.
- the symmetrical configuration of the two housings 12 and 13 and of the housing 60 allows the reel to be turned 180 ° relative to the XX 'axis so that the terminals are arranged upstream in the housing 12 or downstream in the housing 13.
- Each of the housings 12 and 13 has an opening 14 on the top, and on the sides a longitudinal wall 15 and transverse walls 16. Walls 17 are separated in each housing so as to constitute individual rooms 18 for embedding the supply terminals. In addition, lights 19 are cut in the longitudinal wall 15 and provide access to individual chambers 18 so as to allow the introduction of conductive wires in the terminals.
- a terminal cover 61 mounts above the various terminals and closes the opening 14 and partly the lights 19 of the housing 12 or 13 receiving the terminals so as to make accessible to the user only the screws of terminals A1, A2, A1 ′ and A2 ′ and to allow the introduction of the conducting wires.
- the terminal cover 61 is integral with a bracket 55 which is fixed by dismountable coupling 56 on the coil casing. Furthermore, the flanks sides of stirrup 55 bear against the partition walls 17 of the chambers 18. It has 611 clip-on legs on the underside, the edges of which engage on the conductors 54a, 54b so as to ensure a maintenance mechanics of these conductors.
- a removable full cover 62 is provided to close the opening 14 and the lights 19 of the housing 12 or 13 opposite to that receiving the terminals of so as to close the access to the coil.
- This cover 62 is attached to the opening 14 when the contactor enclosure is closed.
- Figure 4 illustrates the association of contactor 1 and a circuit breaker three-pole 7.
- the contact pads for the contactor and the circuit breaker are connected together and cooperate so that the two devices form a monobloc assembly. This device therefore does not allow access to the terminals of the coil if these are arranged on the side of the circuit breaker. It is then possible to turn the coil over so that the terminals are on the side opposite the circuit breaker to access it as shown in the figure.
- FIG. 5 illustrates the association of FIG. 4 to which is added a thermal relay 8.
- the relay is associated downstream of the contactor thanks to a block of connection 9 which enables the electrical connection between the ranges of connection 30 of the contactor and the pins of the thermal relay.
- the block of connection does not lean against the contactor, there is therefore sufficient clearance to access the coil terminals.
- Figures 6 and 7 respectively illustrate the three-pole contactor and a four-pole contactor.
- the two pairs of control terminals A1, A2 and respectively A1 ', A2' allow an electrical connection of the coil according to two possible positions of the terminals.
- terminals accessible in the spaces separating the three connection areas are terminals A1 and A2.
- the terminals accessible in the spaces separating the connection areas are the terminals A1 'and A2', the other terminals being partly hidden by the connection pads.

Description
The present invention relates to a contactor device electromagnetic according to the preamble of claim 1 (see for example FR-A-2 579 369), comprising an envelope formed by a base and a housing assembled to each other and housing the power poles and an electromagnet provided a coil whose body has power supply terminals on one side.
It is known to find contactors whose supply terminals of the coil are arranged on one side, either upstream or downstream.
The coil terminals are usually located on the upstream side of the contactor; or when assembling electrical equipment, for example a contactor and a thermal relay, the relay being preferably placed downstream of the contactor, the user cannot group the terminals of the contactor coil and the thermal relay terminals on the same side to facilitate their control. The user therefore has no choice of the arrangement of the coil wiring.
In addition, when a contactor and a circuit breaker are combined whose ranges connection points coincide with each other for their connection, the devices form a one-piece assembly, and if the terminals of the coil are arranged on the side from the circuit breaker, they then become inaccessible.
Currently, it is therefore impossible for the user to have the choice for positioning the coil supply terminals at the time of installation of the contactor.
A three-pole contactor has three ranges upstream and downstream of connection of the poles which lead to the outside of the contactor body and which are evenly spaced across the width of the transverse walls of the body. The two coil terminals are located so that they are accessible for their wiring, either in the free spaces between the connection pads, or on the sides outside the two end pads.
A four-pole contactor comprises, with respect to the three-pole contactor, an additional connection range upstream and downstream, so that the ranges are offset from those of a three-pole contactor. It is therefore impossible to use a coil identical to that of a three-pole contactor because the terminals would not coincide with the free spaces outside the beaches of connection and would therefore be inaccessible for their wiring.
Each type of contactor therefore requires two separate coils which is not economically advantageous.
The present invention therefore aims to provide an apparatus contactor switch provided with a coil whose supply terminals can both be located downstream or upstream of the contactor and whose arrangement of terminals allow easy access to them regardless of the type of contactor.
The present invention relates to a contactor whose household envelope between the base and the housing a housing capable of receiving the supply terminals of the coil and is characterized in that the envelope has symmetrically to the first housing a second housing also formed between the base and the housing and having a section substantially identical to that of the first housing of so as to receive the side of the coil provided with terminals after turning the coil, the housing opposite to that receiving the terminals being closed.
This feature allows the coil to be placed in the desired direction in order to orient the supply terminals on the downstream side or on the upstream side of the contactor.
The coil body advantageously comprises on the side of said terminals two additional supply terminals which are each connected electrically with one of the other two terminals.
Terminal spacing is determined so that one of the two pairs of terminals is accessible when the contactor is provided with connection pads three-pole and that the second pair of terminals is accessible when the contactor is with four-pole connection pads.
The presence of two pairs of terminals and their spacing allow a access to at least two of them for their wiring, as well for a contactor three-pole than for a four-pole contactor. This feature allows the manufacture of a single coil.

longitudinales 11a.The
The housing 3 houses the power poles each intended to establish or
cut the current on a contactor line. Each pole ensures a cut
double and has two fixed contacts which cooperate with two movable contacts
a contact bridge carried by a contact carrier. The fixed contacts are connected to
The
The
The
13.A
Each of the
The
In addition, a removable
Figure 4 illustrates the association of
pour avoir accès aux bornes de la bobine.FIG. 5 illustrates the association of FIG. 4 to which is added a
Figures 6 and 7 respectively illustrate the three-pole contactor and a four-pole contactor. The two pairs of control terminals A1, A2 and respectively A1 ', A2' allow an electrical connection of the coil according to two possible positions of the terminals.
Thus, for the three-pole contactor, the terminals accessible in the spaces separating the three connection areas are terminals A1 and A2.
For the four-pole contactor, the terminals accessible in the spaces separating the connection areas are the terminals A1 'and A2', the other terminals being partly hidden by the connection pads.
