Definitions
- the present invention relates to a vehicle antenna with an antenna base that can be mounted on a vehicle body and an antenna rod consisting of a rod wire with a screwing area that can be screwed into the antenna base.
- Such a vehicle antenna is known from DE 3 205 750 A1, the antenna base of which consists of a rigid, rigid insulating material.
- the antenna rod has a complex and complex rod structure consisting of threaded parts, a spring, rod attachment parts, the rod itself and a cap.
- This complex structure results in complex installation with high installation costs during the manufacture of the antenna.
- the relatively long screw-in depth with a thread length of approximately 8 to 10 mm results in a relatively long assembly time for the rod on the foot during the final assembly of the antenna rod. With this final assembly there is also the problem of tilting when screwing the rod.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of providing a vehicle antenna which is simple in terms of structure, production processes and assembly, and consists of the smallest possible number of individual parts in order to thereby reduce manufacturing and assembly costs. Furthermore, when the antenna rod is mounted on the antenna base and antenna rod, an automatic, central insertion of the rod with short attachment paths and times should be possible. According to a further aspect, there is a secure connection during assembly of the antenna rod on the antenna base.
- the screwing area of the antenna rod is formed by winding up the rod wire.
- the rod is in one piece and thus the number of individual parts required for fastening the antenna rod to an antenna base is reduced to a minimum.
- the wound part of the rod wire can also be used as an electrical coil.
- the screw area of the antenna rod is resilient. Because the screwing area is resilient, or is designed as a spring, the resilient part can be braced when screwing onto a thread located on the antenna base, in order thereby to achieve a secure screw connection.
- This safety function makes it possible that the antenna rod enables a secure screw connection with 1 to 2 turns. This simplifies the final assembly of the antenna rod on the antenna base and also results in simple and quick installation for the user if the antenna rod is to be removed and subsequently reattached.
- the screw area is cylindrical. This ensures a secure mechanical connection and the use of the screwing area as an electrical coil.
- the screw region is preferably continued in a bent part.
- the bent part is formed by winding up the rod wire.
- the fact that not only the screwing area but also the bent part is formed by winding up the rod wire results in an extremely simple rod construction with a minimum of individual parts, which lowers manufacturing and assembly costs.
- the bent part is preferably resilient and / or conical.
- the resilient and / or conical design results in the desired flexibility in the bending area.
- the bending part of the antenna rod is extrusion-coated with plastic. This is done on the one hand for reasons of weather resistance as well as stability and insulation between the turns of the wound bent part.
- the antenna base preferably has a contact element. This contact element is provided to ensure a mechanical and electrical connection of the antenna rod to the antenna base.
- the contact element preferably has a bolt for contacting the antenna rod.
- the preferably cylindrical screwing area of the antenna rod can then be pushed onto this bolt.
- the bolt is provided with an external thread. This means that a direct and simple screw connection between the antenna rod and the bolt can be achieved so that a simultaneous mechanical and electrical connection is established between these two elements.
- the external thread is provided on the end of the bolt which is at a distance from the antenna rod, and the bolt has a thread-free part at the end facing the antenna rod.
- the external thread advantageously serves as a predetermined breaking point. The result of this is that with excessive tensile stress if the antenna rod e.g. hooked, overload protection is provided.
- the contact element has a sleeve for receiving the screw region.
- the sleeve preferably has a thread. Due to the internal thread, a direct screw connection between the sleeve and the screwing area of the antenna rod is possible in order to establish a good mechanical and electrical connection.
- the internal thread is arranged on the end of the sleeve which is remote from the antenna rod and the sleeve has a thread-free part on the end facing the antenna rod.
- the internal thread advantageously serves as a predetermined breaking point so that the internal thread serves as overload protection in the event of excessive tensile stress.
- the screw region and / or the bent part of the antenna rod is designed as an electrical coil. In this way, it is advantageously achieved that an additional electrical coil can be omitted and the number of individual parts is thus further minimized.
- the contact element of the antenna base is extrusion-coated with a plastic body. This provides weather protection for the contact element, the contact area between the antenna rod and antenna base in particular being protected against the effects of the weather.
- the free end of the antenna rod is preferably provided with a protective cap.
- This protective cap is generally used to prevent injuries to persons or damage to objects by the free end of the antenna rod.
- the antenna rod 1 is made in one piece from a rod wire 3.
- the rod wire 3 is designed as a rod rod 4 at one end and has a screw region 5 and a bent part 6 at its other end by winding up the rod wire.
- the screw region 5 and the bent part 6 are designed as a coil or spring.
- the screw region 5 is designed as a cylindrical “tension spring”, but the configuration of the screw region 5 as a “compression spring” is also possible.
- the bent part 6 is designed as a conical spring part, the conical configuration not being mandatory.
- the bent part 6 and a directly adjoining area of the rod 4 is, as can be seen in FIG. 2, molded for reasons of stability and as insulation between the turns with a plastic body 12 which follows the conical shape of the bent part 6.
- the cylindrical screw region 5 protrudes from the plastic body 12 so that it can be screwed to an antenna base with a suitable thread, as will be described below.
- the end of the antenna rod 1 opposite the screw region 5 is provided with a protective cap 7.
- FIGS. 3 to 5 show an antenna base 15 that can be attached to a vehicle body.
- the antenna base 15 consists of a contact element 17 which is encapsulated with a plastic body 19.
- the plastic body has a bearing surface 20 which bears against the vehicle and a guide pin 21 protruding therefrom and an annular locking bead 22 protruding from the bearing surface 20 for fastening to a vehicle body (not shown).
- the antenna base 15 can be attached to a vehicle body in any manner.
- the contact element 17 of the antenna base 15 is preferably made of die casting and is designed such that two contact bolts 26, 27 extend from a central part 25.
- the contact pin 26 extends through the plastic body and through the locking bead into the interior of the vehicle in order to be brought into contact with an antenna cable there.
- the contact pin 27 extends from the central part 25, angled with respect to the contact pin 26, away.
- the plastic body 19 is formed such that an annular space between the contact pin 27 and the plastic body 19 for the introduction of the cylindrical screwing area 5 Antenna rod 1 is provided.
- the plastic body 19 extends over the same length as the contact pin 27.
- the contact pin 27 has at least 2 or more threads 29 which are formed on the rear pin area, ie in the vicinity of the central part 25 or at the end remote from the antenna rod. At the end facing the antenna rod, the contact pin 27 has a thread-free part.
- the cylindrical screw region 5 which serves as an electrical and mechanical connecting part, is first pushed onto the thread-free part of the contact bolt 27.
- the cylindrical screw region 5 is automatically guided centrally on the contact bolt 27.
- the antenna rod 1 can be rotated relative to the contact bolt 27, so that the pitch of the winding of the cylindrical screw region 5 as a "thread" in the threads 29 of the contact bolt 27 engages.
- the pitch of the winding of the cylindrical screw region 5 is used as an “internal thread” in order to be screwed onto the threads 29 located on the outside on the contact bolt 27.
- the threads 29 of the contact bolt 27 can be designed as predetermined breaking points, so that, for example, in the event of excessive tensile stress by hooking the antenna, the threads serve as overload protection and predetermined breaking point.
- the contact bolt 27 has been described as a solid bolt with external threads 29, it should be noted that instead of the bolt 27, a sleeve could also be provided in order to have threads on its inner circumference. In this case, the antenna rod could be inserted into the sleeve instead of being pushed onto the bolt 27, and again the pitch of the winding of the cylindrical spring part could serve as a thread, this time the threads engaging with the winding from the outside.
- the antenna rod 1 is preferably connected to the antenna base in such a way that the plastic body 12, which surrounds the conical bending part 6 of the antenna rod 1, is in contact with the plastic body 19 in such a way that the entry of water or other contaminants into the Antenna base is avoided.

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a vehicle antenna with an antenna base that can be mounted on a vehicle body and an antenna rod consisting of a rod wire with a screwing area that can be screwed into the antenna base.
Such a vehicle antenna is known from DE 3 205 750 A1, the antenna base of which consists of a rigid, rigid insulating material. In this vehicle antenna, the antenna rod has a complex and complex rod structure consisting of threaded parts, a spring, rod attachment parts, the rod itself and a cap. This complex structure results in complex installation with high installation costs during the manufacture of the antenna. Furthermore, the relatively long screw-in depth with a thread length of approximately 8 to 10 mm results in a relatively long assembly time for the rod on the foot during the final assembly of the antenna rod. With this final assembly there is also the problem of tilting when screwing the rod.
The invention is therefore based on the object of providing a vehicle antenna which is simple in terms of structure, production processes and assembly, and consists of the smallest possible number of individual parts in order to thereby reduce manufacturing and assembly costs. Furthermore, when the antenna rod is mounted on the antenna base and antenna rod, an automatic, central insertion of the rod with short attachment paths and times should be possible. According to a further aspect, there is a secure connection during assembly of the antenna rod on the antenna base.
The object is achieved according to the invention in that the screwing area of the antenna rod is formed by winding up the rod wire. On the basis of the features according to the invention, it is possible to releasably connect the antenna rod to the antenna base with a very simple antenna rod construction and simple assembly. It is particularly advantageous here that the rod is in one piece and thus the number of individual parts required for fastening the antenna rod to an antenna base is reduced to a minimum. Furthermore, the wound part of the rod wire can also be used as an electrical coil.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the screw area of the antenna rod is resilient. Because the screwing area is resilient, or is designed as a spring, the resilient part can be braced when screwing onto a thread located on the antenna base, in order thereby to achieve a secure screw connection. This safety function makes it possible that the antenna rod enables a secure screw connection with 1 to 2 turns. This simplifies the final assembly of the antenna rod on the antenna base and also results in simple and quick installation for the user if the antenna rod is to be removed and subsequently reattached.
According to a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, the screw area is cylindrical. This ensures a secure mechanical connection and the use of the screwing area as an electrical coil.
The screw region is preferably continued in a bent part. By connecting a bent part to the screw area, the vehicle antenna is more resistant against the effects of violence as the antenna rod can be bent without permanent deformation when pressed.
It is particularly advantageous if the bent part is formed by winding up the rod wire. The fact that not only the screwing area but also the bent part is formed by winding up the rod wire results in an extremely simple rod construction with a minimum of individual parts, which lowers manufacturing and assembly costs.
The bent part is preferably resilient and / or conical. The resilient and / or conical design results in the desired flexibility in the bending area.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the bending part of the antenna rod is extrusion-coated with plastic. This is done on the one hand for reasons of weather resistance as well as stability and insulation between the turns of the wound bent part.
The antenna base preferably has a contact element. This contact element is provided to ensure a mechanical and electrical connection of the antenna rod to the antenna base.
The contact element preferably has a bolt for contacting the antenna rod. The preferably cylindrical screwing area of the antenna rod can then be pushed onto this bolt.
According to an advantageous embodiment, the bolt is provided with an external thread. This means that a direct and simple screw connection between the antenna rod and the bolt can be achieved so that a simultaneous mechanical and electrical connection is established between these two elements.
According to a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, the external thread is provided on the end of the bolt which is at a distance from the antenna rod, and the bolt has a thread-free part at the end facing the antenna rod. This feature results in an automatic and centric insertion of the rod, so that when the screwing area reaches the external thread, it is impossible to tilt it. This ensures easy installation of the antenna rod.
The external thread advantageously serves as a predetermined breaking point. The result of this is that with excessive tensile stress if the antenna rod e.g. hooked, overload protection is provided.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the contact element has a sleeve for receiving the screw region. By providing this sleeve, in contrast to the bolt, an external guidance of the screwing area of the antenna rod is provided.
The sleeve preferably has a thread. Due to the internal thread, a direct screw connection between the sleeve and the screwing area of the antenna rod is possible in order to establish a good mechanical and electrical connection.
According to a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, the internal thread is arranged on the end of the sleeve which is remote from the antenna rod and the sleeve has a thread-free part on the end facing the antenna rod. Again there is an automatic introduction of the rod so that when the Screw area on the internal thread hits a tilting of the antenna rod is impossible. This ensures a simple screw connection between the antenna rod and the internal thread.
The internal thread advantageously serves as a predetermined breaking point so that the internal thread serves as overload protection in the event of excessive tensile stress.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the screw region and / or the bent part of the antenna rod is designed as an electrical coil. In this way, it is advantageously achieved that an additional electrical coil can be omitted and the number of individual parts is thus further minimized.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the contact element of the antenna base is extrusion-coated with a plastic body. This provides weather protection for the contact element, the contact area between the antenna rod and antenna base in particular being protected against the effects of the weather.
The free end of the antenna rod is preferably provided with a protective cap. This protective cap is generally used to prevent injuries to persons or damage to objects by the free end of the antenna rod.

Feder ausgebildet.
Wie weiterhin inIn the exemplary embodiment shown, the

The
The
To attach the

Although the
In the connected state, the
