Description

The invention relates to a heat exchanger for treatment of a fluid, in particular for cooling a high temperature air flow from the turbo compressor of a industrial vehicle.

We already know heat exchangers which include two fluid boxes, a multiplicity of bars dividers arranged in pairs, as well as a multiplicity of plates arranged in pairs to frame the pairs of bars and form in collaboration with them chambers in which a fluid can circulate.

Un échangeur de ce type est connu notamment d'après le brevet français FR-A-2 479 438, lequel comprend des paires de barrettes longitudinales et transversales, chaque paire de barrettes longitudinales étant encadrée à ses extrémités par deux paires de barrettes transversales, positionnées perpendiculairement à celles-ci.An exchanger of this type is known in particular from French patent FR-A-2,479,438, which includes pairs of longitudinal bars and transverse, each pair of longitudinal bars being framed at its ends by two pairs of bars transverse, positioned perpendicular to them.

In this known type of exchanger, the bars longitudinal collaborate with the plates to form fluid circulation chambers, while the bars transverse serve both as spacers between two successive chambers, and fluid circulation vents between the fluid boxes and the chamber they frame.

The major drawback of this exchanger killer is the complexity of assembling the different elements which constitute.

Indeed, in order to make this stack of plates rigid and bars, we have to screw each bar longitudinal on lateral metal frames. We perform then soldering the elements together, then we screw each transverse bar on the fluid boxes.

L'invention a notamment pour but de remédier à cet inconvénient. The object of the invention is in particular to remedy this disadvantage.

To this end, it offers a heat exchanger of the type defined above in which, according to the invention, each box with fluid comprises a collecting plate provided with openings suitable for receiving end portions of pairs of bars, and openings capable of authorizing the free circulation of the fluid between the chambers and the fluid boxes, and the ends of the pairs of plates are folded and fixed against the collector plates of such so that two facing plates, belonging respectively to two consecutive chambers, their ends turned one towards each other, thus forming conduits in which can circulate a flow of air to be treated.

The exchanger thus formed no longer requires use transverse bars which are advantageously replaced through the openings made in the collector plates. The full space between two openings then serves as a spacer of separation between two chambers, thus directly creating air circulation ducts.

These conduits will also be made more rigid by the placing the ends of the plates upside down belonging to two consecutive rooms.

The folded ends of the pairs of plates are advantageously turned towards each other.

The length of the openings is significantly less than the width of a collector plate. As a result, barrettes substantially linear could not be accommodated in such openings, since they would not be next to these. This is why according to another characteristic of the invention, each bar comprises a central part substantially linear, extending parallel to the edge longitudinal of the plates and extended on both sides by a bent part to allow the embedding of said bar in an opening, each bent part being extended by a end part housed in a fluid box.

In a first embodiment, each pair of bars is embedded in the same opening which is used for both housing for arrays and circulation mouth of the fluid.

In this embodiment, the end portions of the pairs of bars are folded back on themselves forming a arc of a circle, so that these end parts are in contact to block said bars against the ends of the opening in which they are housed.

Each bar of the pair thus formed is found blocked transversely in the opening since the parts bar pair terminals repel each other by constraint effect.

In a second embodiment, each bar of a pair of bars is embedded in an opening of same section as said strip, forming a housing. Each housing is positioned substantially symmetrically on the side and other with a central opening forming a circulation mouth fluid.

In this embodiment, each bar is immobilized independently.

According to yet another embodiment of the invention, the collector plates include fixing lugs for keep the folded ends belonging respectively to a first and a last bedroom.

These fixing lugs thus authorize assembly and the stacking of successive chambers before the introduction of the exchanger in a brazing furnace.

According to another embodiment of the invention, the conduits comprise first spacers forming fins, to increase the heat exchange surface.

The conduits advantageously constituted by plates, whose ends are upside down, provide protection effective for these fragile fins, and especially during the assembly stage.

According to yet another embodiment of the invention, the external faces of a first and a last plate are suitable for receiving second spacers forming fins.

Advantageously, the invention provides that these second spacers have a height substantially double that of the first dividers, which significantly increases the surface heat exchange.

According to a last embodiment of the invention, the exchanger comprises at least one end cheek capable of protect a second interlayer and secured to the two boxes fluid.

  • la figure 1 est une vue schématique latérale d'une partie de l'échangeur selon l'invention;
In the description which follows, given solely by way of example, reference is made to the appended drawings, in which:
  • Figure 1 is a schematic side view of a part of the exchanger according to the invention;
  • FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view, partly broken away, of a part of the exchanger according to a first embodiment of the invention; and
  • Figure 3 is an exploded perspective and partially trachea part of the exchanger according to a second embodiment of the invention.

Figure 1 shows schematically part of an exchanger of the type says with bars and plates which has pairs of bars framed by two plates 2a and 2b. Plate 2a is the so-called lower plate, the plate 2b being the so-called plate superior. Each bar 1 defines a level, level 1 corresponding to the first bar and level n to the last bar.

As shown in Figure 2, at each level 1 correspond to two bars 1a and 1b forming a pair of bars. Each pair thus forms in collaboration with the pair of plates 2a and 2b which surround it, a chamber 3 in which can circulate a cooling fluid from a box fluid 4.

This cooling fluid could for example be water for cooling a supercharged vehicle engine industrial.

Each plate 2 includes a curved end portion 5 so that it forms a right angle with the part main plate. So each bottom plate 2a has a downwardly curved end portion 5a, and each upper plate 2b has a curved end portion 5b to the top.

The plates 2b and 2a, facing each other and belonging to two consecutive chambers, thus have their respective terminal parts 5b and 5a positioned head to tail, and leaning on each other.

This arrangement advantageously allows between two consecutive bedrooms 3 a free space forming a conduit 6 in which the fluid to be treated can circulate.

This fluid is for example an air flow coming from a industrial vehicle turbocharger. Its temperature can be significantly higher than 100'C, which requires a efficient cooling, such as that achieved by the exchanger according to the invention. To increase the heat exchange surface between the air flow 15 to be treated and the cooling, it houses, inside the conduits 6, first inserts 7 forming dissipation fins.

The two end portions 5 of the plates are substantially in contact with a collecting plate 8 serving as a cover for a fluid box 4.

As shown in Figures 2 and 3, each header plate 8 comprises openings 9 of substantially parallel-piped shape and parallel to each other.

Each of these openings 9 is capable of forming housing for receive the ends C of a pair of bars and / or form mouth to allow free circulation of the coolant between a chamber 3 and a fluid box 4 opposite which it is.

A cet effet, les ouvertures 9 s'étendent parallèlement à l'un des côtés de la plaque collectrice 8, lequel est parallèle au plan des chambres 3.For this purpose, the openings 9 extend parallel to one of the sides of the collector plate 8, which is parallel in plan of bedrooms 3.

For obvious reasons, the length of an opening 9 can only be less than the distance between two bars 1a and 1b of the same pair.

A substantially linear, which extends parallel to the longitudinal edge of the plates 2, and extended on both sides by a bent part B, itself extended by a part Terminal C.

Each bar can thus be embedded thanks to its part angled B in an opening 9, the end part C being then housed in the fluid box 4.

According to a first embodiment of the invention (Figure 2), an opening 9a is made to correspond to a chamber 3.

There will therefore be as many openings 9a as there are levels.

Each opening 9a is capable of both receiving the C ends of a pair of strips, and to allow free refrigerant circulation.

Consequently, the height of the opening 9a is substantially equal (by lower value) to the distance which separates two plates 2a and 2b of the same chamber 3 and its length is substantially equal (by higher value) to the distance which separates the outer edges of the bent parts C of a pair of bars.

In this first embodiment, each part C terminal of the same pair of bars is folded back on itself by forming an arc oriented towards the center of opening 9a. The radius of curvature of the terminal parts C is chosen so that two terminal parts C of a same pair of bars are in contact in one part 13 and repel each other. In these conditions, each bar 1 is blocked by constraint against ends of the opening 9a in which it is embedded.

According to a second embodiment of the invention (figure 3), we match a room 3 three openings 9b and 9c grouped into two categories according to their use.

There will therefore be three times more openings than levels.

A first category of openings 9b, mouth shape for allow the free circulation of the fluid between the fluid box 4 and the chamber 3 opposite which it is located. The length of these openings 9b is substantially less than the space between the internal edges of the two bent parts C of a pair of bars, their height being substantially equal (by lower value) to the space between two plates 2a and 2b of the same room 3.

Sa section est donc identique à celle de la barrette 1 (par valeur sensiblement supérieure).A second category of openings 9c, forming housing, is suitable for receiving a strip 1 and only one. Its section is therefore identical to that of bar 1 (by value substantially superior).

Each opening 9c forming a housing for a bar is positioned substantially symmetrically on either side of the opening 9b forming a mouth.

Each bar 1 of a pair is therefore blocked so independent in an opening 9c.

En conséquence, dans cette forme de réalisation, les parties terminales C des barrettes 1 sont linéaires et ne constituent qu'un simple prolongement des parties coudées B.Consequently, in this embodiment, the terminal parts C of the bars 1 are linear and do not constitute a simple extension of the bent parts B.

The chambers are stacked before brazing, thanks to to the fixing of two fixing lugs 10a and 10b, respectively below the space provided for the game terminal 5a of the first plate 2a and above the location provided for the terminal part 5b of the last plate 2b.

In this way, the terminal parts 5a and 5b of the first and last plates are held tightly against header plates 8.

Finally, to increase the heat exchange surface, we fixed under the first plate 5a and on the last plate 5b of second spacers forming fins.

Furthermore, in order to better protect the latter dividers 11 upper and lower, it may turn out useful, in certain conditions of congestion, to house in below the lower tab 11, and above the upper tab 11, a plate called "end cheek" 12. These cheeks 12 will be fixed directly on the boxes to fluid 4. These cheeks may also include buttonholes to allow the exchanger to be attached.

Pour cela, on mettra en oeuvre de préférence le procédé de brasage décrit par le brevet français FR-A-2 071 016.We then braze the exchanger as described, either in a salt bath or in the oven. For that, we will put in preferably uses the soldering process described by the patent French FR-A-2 071 016.

The invention is not limited to the embodiments shown schematically and described in detail in the present description. Various modifications can be made made without departing from the scope of the claims.

In particular, the shape of the terminal parts of the bars can be modified to facilitate the circulation of fluid.
