Description

The invention relates to a device for cleaning a rotor rotating in the rotor housing of an open-end spinning unit, with a scraper that can be positioned in the fiber collecting groove of the rotor.

Derartige Vorrichtungen sind durch zahlreiche Veröffentlichungen bekannt.Such devices are known from numerous publications.

Durch eine solche Einrichtung kann die Fasersammelrille mechanisch gereinigt und zusätzlich ein Reinigungsmittel-Luftgemisch in den Rotor eingeblasen werden.DE 26 18 094 A1, for example, describes a cleaning device which is arranged in an automatic maintenance unit and has a scraper element which can be moved into the spinning rotor and is adapted to the contour of the fiber collecting groove. The scraper element is attached to the end of a rod. In addition, the scraper element has an injection device for liquid cleaning agents. With such a device, the fiber collecting groove can be mechanically cleaned and additionally a detergent-air mixture can be blown into the rotor.

The actual cleaning device is arranged in a housing that is positioned in front of the open spin box. A carrier is pivotally mounted within the housing, whose axis of rotation is offset from the rotor axis and is arranged at an acute angle. The carrier has a spatial shape such that the end occupied with the cleaning tool, when rotated about the axis, describes an arc that intersects the plane of the fiber collecting groove of the rotor. The cleaning tool is fed in a forward movement through the rotor opening to the part of the rotor to be cleaned.

Furthermore, a cleaning device is known from DE 37 15 934 A1, the scraper of which is arranged on the end of the piston rod of a pneumatic thrust piston transmission and can be moved into the rotor of an OE spinning unit in the direction of the fiber collecting groove. The scraper has a knife-like end part which extends into the fiber collecting groove and is angled in the knife plane against the direction of rotation of the rotor in such a way that the front edge is inclined towards the direction of rotation of the rotor.

Scraper inserts are used as cleaning tools, which are positioned at the ends on spiral springs. During the cleaning process, the rotating scraper inserts lay under the influence of the centrifugal forces in the rotor groove and clean them of persistent dirt particles.

Since the position of the scraper inserts can be adjusted radially due to their arrangement on the elastic coil springs, wear wear on the scraper inserts is automatically compensated for.

However, such an elastic mounting of the cleaning tools has the disadvantage that there is a risk that the scraper elements are insufficient in the case of impurities which are stuck be employed or spring back. In these cases, the fiber collection groove of the spinning rotor cannot be cleaned properly.

Starting from the aforementioned prior art, the invention has for its object to provide an improved cleaning device for open-end rotor spinning units.

This object is achieved according to the invention by a device as is the subject of claim 1.

The design of the scraper according to the invention has the advantage that the scraper automatically adopts an optimal length when the cleaning device is moved into the rotor, regardless of its wear, which ensures that the scraper contacts the bottom of the fiber collecting groove. This ensures that the scraper is consistently effective from the first to the last cleaning process, regardless of the degree of contamination of the spinning rotor.

The scraper is preferably designed as a band-like wearing part, so that the service life of such cleaning devices is significantly extended compared to known devices. In addition, since the optimal length of the scraper belt is automatically adjusted when entering the fiber collecting groove, control inspections by the operating personnel can be largely dispensed with or significantly restricted. Overall, the device according to the invention considerably relieves the strain on machine personnel.

In a preferred embodiment, the scraper belt is non-positively connected to its displacement device. A pressure roller resting on the scraper belt under spring force is produced just as much friction as is necessary between the scraper belt and the driven feed roller of the displacement device in order to bring the scraper belt into contact sufficiently firmly in the fiber collecting groove of the spinning rotor, that is to say to ensure safe cleaning of this critical area. On the other hand, when the scraper belt comes to rest in the fiber collecting groove, the feed roller can slide freely under the scraper belt, so that excessive wear due to excessive pressure is avoided.

The displacement device for the scraper belt preferably consists of a feed roller having a pivoting lever, a spring-loaded pressure roller and a pneumatic cylinder connected to the pivoting lever with its piston rod. When the piston rod is extended or retracted, the feed roller is rotated clockwise or counterclockwise and thereby takes the scraper belt clamped between the feed roller and the pressure roller in the respective direction of rotation of the feed roller.

In a preferred embodiment, the arrangement is such that the feed path of the scraper belt, which is initiated by the feed roller or the pneumatic cylinder, is limited by the contact of the belt tip in the fiber collecting groove. This means that the feed roller slips under the optimally retracted scraper belt in the last stage of its rotation. Such a design ensures, on the one hand, that the scraper belt is pushed into the fiber collecting groove in accordance with regulations, and on the other hand prevents the contact pressure of the band tip against the wall of the fiber collecting groove from becoming too great.

In the interest of a flawless, automatic readjustment, it is also provided that the feed path which the scraper belt travels when the cleaning device is retracted into the rotor is longer than the return path of the scraper belt when the cleaning device is retracted. Advantageously, a stroke limiter is provided for this purpose, which is designed in such a way that the scraper belt can pass the stroke limiter unhindered in the feed direction, while it is clamped in the stroke limiter after a certain distance and thus blocked. In this case too, the feed roller can slip freely under the doctor belt and reach its starting position.

In a further development of the invention, a sensor device is arranged in the exit area of the scraper belt store, which detects the leakage of the belt-like wear part, so that the operating personnel can intervene and insert a new scraper belt at the appropriate time. In this way, downtimes of the maintenance unit or malfunctions of the spinning units due to insufficient cleaning can be reliably avoided.

When operating open-end rotor spinning machines, it is common to clean the rotor before re-spinning a spinning unit. In particular, the fiber collecting groove of the rotor must be cleaned of adhering fiber dust and other soiling, since otherwise it is not possible to achieve a perfect spinning result.

The maintenance units patrolling in the area of the spinning machines, which automatically eliminate yarn breaks that occur, therefore have a cleaning device by means of which the rotor, in particular its fiber collecting groove, can be cleaned.

In Fig. 1, the cleaning head 5 of such a cleaning device is shown in section. The cleaning head 5 is positioned in front of the open rotor housing 1 of an open-end rotor spinning unit. A spinning rotor 2 is arranged within the rotor housing 1. As is known and therefore not shown in detail, the spinning rotor 2 is supported with its rotor axis 3 on a running disk bearing and has a fiber collecting groove 4 in the region of its rotor head.

As indicated in FIG. 2, the cleaning head 5 has a drive device 6 that can be adjusted from the outside of the rotor head, for example a rubber-tired drive wheel 7 and a cleaning device 8 (see FIG. 1) that can be moved into the fiber collecting groove 4. The cleaning device 8 is designed as a scraper 9 which can be extended in the direction of the fiber collecting groove 4. The scraper 9 consists of a scraper belt 11 which is stored in a memory 10 and which can be extended or retracted in the direction of the fiber collecting groove 4 by means of a displacement device 12.

In detail, the displacement device 12 consists of a controllable pneumatic cylinder 13, the piston rod 19 of which is connected to a swivel lever 20. The pivot lever 20 is in turn connected in a rotationally fixed manner to a feed roller 14. A pressure roller 15 loaded by a spring element 21 rests on the feed roller 14. The scraper belt 11 is non-positively clamped between the feed roller 14 and the pressure roller 15 and is pushed out in the direction of the fiber collecting groove 4 when the piston rod 19 of the pneumatic cylinder 13 is extended. To set the contact pressure of the pressure roller 15, an actuating element, not shown in the exemplary embodiment, for example a pressure screw acting on the spring element 21, can be provided.

On the output side, the flexible, relatively thin scraper band 11 is supported in a guide channel 22, so that migration or kinking of the scraper band 11 when entering the fiber collecting groove 4 is reliably prevented.

The filling state or the idling of the doctor belt store 10 is monitored by a sensor device 18 which is arranged at the outlet of the store. The sensor device 18 can be designed, for example, as a limit switch which rests on the scraper belt 11 with a pressure roller 25 and switches a contact in the absence of a scraper belt.

The displacement device 12 also has a stroke limiter 17 which is constructed in such a way that there is unimpeded sliding of the scraper belt in the direction of the fiber collecting groove 4, while in the opposite direction the passage of the scraper belt is blocked by the stroke limiter. The stroke limiter 17 is in turn mounted in a longitudinally movable manner in a guide 24 of the cleaning device 5; its displacement is the measure of the return path of the scraper belt 11. The stroke limiter 17 can have various embodiments. For example, it is possible to prevent the scraper belt from sliding through in the reset direction by using a clamping element 23. Such a clamping element can be designed, for example, as a wedge element, as an eccentric roller or the like.

Funktion der Reinigungsvorrichtung:Function of the cleaning device:

As soon as the maintenance unit is positioned in front of a spinning unit and the spinning box is opened, the cleaning head 5 is brought into position in front of the opened rotor housing 1. The pneumatic cylinder 13 is acted upon via a line 24 so that its piston rod 19 extends and the pivot lever 20 is moved in the S direction. As a result, the feed roller 14, which is non-rotatably connected to the pivoting lever 20, is rotated clockwise and the scraper belt 11 clamped between the feed roller 14 and the spring-loaded pressure roller 15 is pushed out non-positively in the direction of the fiber collecting groove 4. The extension path of the scraper belt 11 is limited by the belt tip 16 resting in the fiber collecting groove 4. At the same time, the rotor 2 is slowly rotated by the drive device 6, that is to say by the drive wheel 7 lying on the outside of the rotor head. The material of the scraper belt 11, for example a relatively easily wearing plastic, ensures that the belt tip 16 adapts well to the shape of the fiber collecting groove and thus the entire fiber collecting groove is reliably cleaned.

After the cleaning process has ended, the pneumatic cylinder 13 is retracted and the feed roller 14 is thereby rotated counterclockwise. This means that the scraper belt 11 is withdrawn. The stroke limiter 17 ensures that the return path of the scraper belt 11 is smaller than its feed path. In this way it is ensured that the through Wear-related shortening of the scraper belt is automatically compensated for the next time it is pushed out and the optimal length is set when the scraper belt 11 is moved into the fiber collecting groove of the spinning rotor.

A sensor device 18 indicates in good time when the scraper belt 11 stored in a scraper belt store 10 has reached a length which makes it advisable to change the scraper belt soon.

The invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiment described above, further embodiments not described in detail in the present application are conceivable both with regard to the displacement device or its drive and with regard to the stroke limiter or the scraper belt store, without departing from the inventive concept. It is essential to the invention that the optimal length of the scraper belt is automatically set when the cleaning device is moved into the rotor.
