Ungeachtet der Tatsache, ob der Unterstempel angetrieben ist oder nicht erfolgt bei den aus dem Stand der Technik bekannten Vorrichtungen keine Einstellung der Hubkraft und keine Berücksichtigung von Materialstärken. Die Maschine zum Ansetzen von Nieten, Druckknöpfen oder dergleichen umfaßt eine Antriebsscheibe 1, die in Getriebeverbindung mit einer Schubkurbelscheibe 2 steht. In fester Verbindung mit der Schubkurbelscheibe 2 ist auf der gleichen Welle eine Exzenterscheibe 3 angeordnet, wobei die Verbindung zwischen Exzenterscheibe 3 und Schubkurbelscheibe 2 durch eine Verbindungsschraube 4 realisiert ist. Die Verbindungsschraube 4 ist in einem in der Schubkurbelscheibe 2 angeordneten Langloch angeordnet, so daß sich die Exzenterscheibe 3 hinsichtlich der Steuerzeitpunkte einstellen läßt. Die Exzenterscheibe 3 steht mit einer Laufrolle 5 in Verbindung, die an einem Antriebshebel 6 angeordnet ist. Der Antriebshebel 6 weist Stufeneinstellungsbohrungen 7 auf. Mittels einer Gelenkverbindung 10 ist am Antriebshebel 6 ein Hebelarm 29 verbunden, der ein um eine Hebelachse 11 bewegbarer Zweiarmhebel ist. In einer der Stufeneinstellungsbohrungen 7 am Antriebshebel 6 ist ein Anschlußauge 12 einer Steuerstange befestigt. Die Steuerstange umfaßt eine Verstellhülse 13, sowie an ihrem anderen Ende ein weiteres Anschlußauge 12, welches am Hebelarm 29 befestigt ist. Am freien Ende des Hebelarms 29 ist eine Laufrolle 15 angeordnet, die mit dem Unterstempel 16 zusammenwirkt.
