  1. Thread sealing machine with:
    - a driven, endless, circulating, lower conveyor member (21) carrying conveyor elements (22) for laid-out folded sheets (40),
    - an upper, endless, circulating conveyor member (11) driven in synchronism with the lower conveyor member (21) and carrying plate-shaped conveyor elements (12) at a predetermined pitch for holding the folded sheets (40) on the lower conveyor member (21),
    - insertion holes (15) provided in the plate-shaped conveyor elements (12) of the upper conveyor member (11),
    - an insertion device (13) associated with the insertion holes (15) and controlled in synchronism with the upper conveyor member (11) in order to insert thread portions supplied by the upper conveyor member (11) and cut into lengths corresponding to a thread stitch to be formed in the folded sheet (40), to form the thread stitches, and
    - a heating bar (25) disposed downstream of the insertion device (13) in the direction of transportation (41) of the folded sheet (40), arranged beneath the folded sheet (40), and biased (27) towards the folded sheet (40) in order to seal the thread stitches,
