Abstract

Procédé de chauffage d'un liquide mettant en application une tige (12) à l'intérieur d'un élément de chauffage (14) possédant au moins une surface et où on fait descendre le liquide le long de la tige sous forme d'une pellicule mince (22), de manière que le liquide ne vienne pas en contact avec la surface de chauffage (14). Ledit procédé est réalisé au moyen d'un appareil comprenant un élément de chauffage (14) à l'intérieur duquel est placée une tige (12) exempte de contact avec ledit élément, une source de liquide (18) et des moyens (20) permettant au liquide provenant de la source de s'écouler au-dessus de la tige (12) sous forme d'une pellicule mince (22). La tige (12) est normalement maintenue dans un sens vertical et la source de liquide (28) peut se trouver au sommet de la tige. Le liquide s'écoule sous forme de pellicule (22) en descendant le long de la surface de la tige (12). Celle-ci est entourée par la surface chaude de l'élément de chauffage (14) et la chaleur se diffuse principalement par rayonnement à travers l'espace (16) situé entre la surface chaude de l'élément de chauffage (14) vers le liquide descendant le long de la tige (12). De ce fait, il n'existe aucun contact direct entre le liquide à chauffer et toute surface chauffée de l'élément de chauffage (14). La tige (12) elle-même ne sera pas normalement chauffée et elle peut être fabriquée à partir de matériaux présentant des caractéristiques de résistance à la corrosion, ainsi que des propriétés de dégagement mais possédant une conductivité thermique si faible qu'ils ne seraient pas utilisables pour la fabrication d'échangeurs de chaleur. Elle n'est pas nécessairement fabriquée en métal et peut, par exemple, être constituée par des matériaux tels que de la céramique ou du verre, pourvus éventuellement de revêtements détachables, par exemple en PTFE.

Claims (12)

  1. Procédé pour chauffer un liquide qui comprend la fourniture d'un mandrin non chauffé (12) à l'intérieur d'un élément chauffant (14) ayant au moins une surface chauffante de telle sorte qu'il y ait un intervalle (16) entre le mandrin (12) et l'élément chauffant (14), caractérisé en ce que le liquide (22) descend la surface du mandrin sous la forme d'une pellicule mince et de telle sorte qu'il ne vienne au contact d'aucune surface chauffée de l'élément chauffant (14) mais qu'il soit chauffé par la chaleur qui traverse l'intervalle (16) depuis la surface chauffante de l'élément chauffant jusqu'au liquide (22).
  2. Appareil qui comprend un élément chauffant (14) ayant au moins une surface chauffante à l'intérieur de laquelle est situé un mandrin non chauffé (12) de manière à définir un intervalle (16) entre le mandrin (12) et l'élément chauffant (14) et une source de liquide (18), caractérisé en ce qu'il est prévu des moyens (20) pour permettre au liquide (22) provenant de la source de s'écouler sur la surface du mandrin (12) sous la forme d'une pellicule mince et de telle sorte qu'il ne vienne au contact d'aucune surface chauffée de l'élément chauffant (14) mais qu'il soit chauffé par la chaleur traversant l'intervalle (16) depuis la surface chauffante de l'élément chauffant (14) jusqu'au liquide (22).
  3. Appareil selon la revendication 2, caractérisé en outre en ce que le mandrin (12) est maintenu dans une orientation verticale et en ce que la source de liquide (18) est en haut de celui-ci.
  4. Appareil selon la revendication 3, caractérisé en outre en ce que la surface chaude de l'élément chauffant (14) entoure le mandrin (12) et en ce que la chaleur passe principalement par la chaleur rayonnante à travers l'intervalle (16) entre la surface chaude de l'élément chauffant (14) vers le liquide (22) descendant le long du mandrin (12).
  5. Appareil selon la revendication 3, caractérisé en outre en ce que la surface chaude de l'élément chauffant (14) entoure le mandrin (12) et en ce que la chaleur passe principalement par convection du gaz ou de la vapeur dans l'intervalle (16) entre la surface chaude de l'élément chauffant (14) vers le liquide (22) qui descend le long du mandrin (12).
  6. Appareil selon l'une quelconque des revendications 2 à 5, caractérisé en ce que le mandrin (12) est fait dans un matériau ayant de bonnes propriétés anti-corrosion et de libération mais ayant une faible conductivité thermique.
  7. Appareil selon la revendication 6, caractérisé en outre en ce que le mandrin (12) est fait en céramique ou en verre.
  8. Appareil selon la revendication 7, caractérisé en outre en ce que le mandrin (12) est recouvert d'un revêtement de libération.
  9. Appareil selon l'une quelconque des revendications 2 à 8, caractérisé en outre en ce que le mandrin (12) peut être facilement retiré pour nettoyage.
  10. Appareil selon l'une quelconque des revendications 2 à 9, caractérisé en outre en ce que l'élément chauffant (14) est un élément cylindrique entourant le mandrin (12) sans le toucher.
  11. Appareil selon la revendication 10, caractérisé en outre en ce que l'élément chauffant (14) est chauffé par de l'huile chaude, de la vapeur à haute pression, ou un élément chauffant électrique.
  12. Appareil selon l'une quelconque des revendications 2 à 10, caractérisé en outre en ce que l'intervalle compris entre l'élément chauffant et le mandrin (12) mesure de 2 à 20 mm.
