Description

The invention relates to a compressed air mattress core consisting of an elastic sleeve which is divided into a plurality of compressed air cells lying side by side.

Compressed air mattress cores of this type are generally known. For example, DE - 33 03 615 A1, a couch consisting of a plastic base, the mattress of which is divided into fields serving as hollow-body compartments. The large number of individually inflatable hollow bodies provided there allow the lying surface to be adapted to different body shapes by individually inflating or deflating air.

Furthermore, it is known from DE - 41 01 781 A1 to divide air mattresses into several chambers. In this way, an intermediate layer between the body and the bed or floor that can be adapted to the individual body shape is to be achieved. In both this and the mattress described above, there is no pressure equalization between the chambers or the individual cells when in use, and therefore the individual adjustment depends solely on the degree of filling of the chambers. However, this is not sufficient comfort and there is also no ventilation to prevent moisture, e.g. dissipate when sweating.

The invention is therefore based on the object of providing compressed air mattresses with an elastic cover which, when in use, enable individual adaptation by pressure compensation between the compressed air cells and ventilation for moisture removal. This object is achieved according to the invention in that the compressed air cells by a in the shell between the compressed air cells provided channel system are interconnected, and that the shell is penetrated by a plurality of openings that do not influence the compressed air cells perpendicular to the channel system.

With such a compressed air mattress, the measure according to the invention enables individual pressure compensation between the individual compressed air cells, which is dependent on the respective body shape, and thus optimum lying comfort. In addition, the breakthroughs ensure adequate ventilation and thus moisture removal, e.g. when sweating.

Further developments and advantageous refinements of the invention can be found in claims 2 to 10.

Diese Durchbrüche 17 haben runden Querschnitt, aber jede andere geeignete Querschnittsform ist ebenso verwendbar.1, a compressed air mattress core 10 consists of a plurality of compressed air cells 11. The compressed air cells 11 of the compressed air mattress core 10 are connected to one another by a channel system 12 provided in the mattress cover, and in each case within the assigned areas 13, 14. Within these areas, the compressed air cells 11 can have different degrees of filling and, furthermore, further areas can be provided in the transverse and longitudinal directions by interruptions 20 of the channel system 12. The area 13 represents the divisible head part, while the area 14 forms the body part. When using the compressed air mattress core 10, a pressure equalization between the individual compressed air cells 11 takes place within the areas 13, 14. This pressure equalization can also take place between the areas 13, 14, namely by means of external bypass lines 15 provided with valves 16. As shown in the illustration 1 shows, the compressed air cells 11 have a square cross-section, but as FIG. 6 shows, octagonal, round or any other suitable cross-sectional shape is also possible. The duct system 12 can be connected to the side walls or to the corner areas of the compressed air cells. Between the compressed air cells 11, numerous openings 17 which do not influence the compressed air cells are provided, which penetrate the compressed air mattress 10 vertically and allow ventilation of the mattress, in particular for moisture removal. These openings 17 have a round cross-section, but any other suitable cross-sectional shape can also be used.

As shown in FIGS. 2 to 6, the compressed air cells 11 can have different heights and can be dimensioned with an edge length or diameter of approximately 10 cm. However, it is also possible to design the compressed air cells 11 as hollow bodies, see FIGS. 3 and 6 on the left, and to use the central passage instead of the openings 17 for moisture removal. According to FIG. 3, left-hand illustration, the hollow body can consist of a plurality of annular hoses arranged one above the other and firmly connected to one another exist that have a connection to each other for pressure equalization. In Fig. 2, the compressed air cells 11 are cube-shaped and the channel system 12 engages in the middle of a cube wall. FIG. 3 shows compressed air cells 11 as height-adjustable bellows, the channel system 12 also engaging in the middle of the side walls. The bellows can also be connected to the channel system 12 at different heights, as shown in FIGS. 5a to 5c. It is also possible to subdivide the height of the compressed air cells 11 and to connect the chambers on the same level to one another or to separate them with one another by separate duct systems. Furthermore, it is also possible to design the compressed air cells 11 differently in height, in particular in different areas. The compressed air cells 11 consist of an elastic covering, for example rubber or elastic plastic, and are assembled by molding and gluing to form the compressed air mattress core. Filling nozzles 18, 19 are used for filling with air, gas or another suitable medium, which then hold the filling pressure by closing. This filling pressure can also be varied on request and therefore individual comfort can be set.
