Description

The invention relates to a support device according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such a device is known from US-A-1 890 362, the support legs being provided with a lever which has to be pressed down in order to pivot the support legs away. So that the support legs do not protrude uncontrollably when swiveling away, a band is loosely placed around the circumference of the golf bag.

The invention has for its object to provide a support device of the type specified so that it is easier to handle.

This object is achieved by the features in the characterizing part of claim 1.

In Fig. 1, 1 denotes a schematically represented golf bag, which has a stiffening sleeve 2 at the upper end, to which the carrying strap 3 is fastened at one end. This stiffening sleeve 2 forms a holder for support legs 4 which are articulated on both sides. In one circumferential direction of the stiffening sleeve or holder 2, the support legs 4 are acted upon by a rubber band 5 which is fastened to the support legs 4 near the articulation point and around the ring-shaped holder 2 is laid. At the level of the rubber band 5, a pull rope 6 is attached to the support legs 4, which is guided through one end of a tab 7, the other end of which is articulated on the annular holder 2. In the folded-down position of the tab 7, the support legs 4 are released as far as that they can be pivoted through the rubber band 5 into the supporting position, in which they lie obliquely to the longitudinal axis of the golf bag 1, as shown in FIG. 1. By pivoting the tab 7, the support legs 4 are pivoted over the traction cable 6 while tensioning the rubber band 5 into the contact position, as shown in FIG. 2, in which they rest approximately parallel to the axis of the golf bag on its circumference.

The arrangement of the fastening point of the pull cable 6 on the support legs 4 and the articulation point of the tab 7 is designed such that a snap mechanism results by pivoting the tab 7 over a dead center.

In the illustrated embodiment, two approximately L-shaped fitting parts 8 are screwed onto the circumference of the annular holder 2, to which the tab 7 is articulated. The hinge axis is formed by the two inwardly bent ends of an approximately ring-shaped bracket 9 to which the carrying belt 3 is fastened. As shown in Fig. 1, the attachment point of the shoulder strap 3 is in the support position of the device under the tab 7, so that by lifting the golf bag by means of the shoulder strap 3 due to the weight of the bag, the tab 7 is above the dead center in the in Fig. 2 reproduced position is pivoted, in which the support legs 4 are placed on the circumference of the bag.

When the bag is lifted by means of the carrying strap 3, the bracket 9 comes to rest on the underside of the tab, whereby the flap 7 is promoted. Instead of the bracket 9, a stiffening of the strap end can also be provided in order to facilitate the pivoting up of the tab 7.

The articulation of the support legs 4 on the ring-shaped holder 2 can be designed in various ways, for example by forming bearing points for the upper ends of the support legs 4 in the ring-shaped holder 2. The support legs 4 are preferably angled upper ends 10 in a bearing web 11 pivotally mounted, which in the exemplary embodiment shown is inserted off-center on the side of the tab 7 into the annular holder 2 and is fastened to it by screws 12. The angled upper ends of the support legs 4 are inserted into blind bores of this bearing web 11, which specify the insertion depth of the ends 10, and they are held in the inserted position by the rubber band 5. The bearing web 11 advantageously has a rectangular cross section.

In order to maintain a greater distance from each other for a stable support position at the lower ends of the support legs 4 than at the upper articulation points, the angled upper ends 10 of the support legs 4 run obliquely to the diameter line of the ring-shaped holder 2 represented by a stiffening 13, as shown in FIG 4 shows. The opposite ends of the web 11 are designed to be angled accordingly. At the same time, the ends 10 run obliquely to the longitudinal axis of the pocket, as shown in FIG. 5. The ends 10 are angled at an angle greater than 90 ° with respect to the support legs 4 and are inserted into the obliquely upwardly extending blind holes in the web 11. In this arrangement, the support legs 4 from the contact position in FIG. 4, in which they rest on the outer circumference of the pocket defined by the annular holder 2, are pivoted into the support position, which is indicated by dashed lines in FIG. 4, they have lower ends of the support legs 4 a much greater distance from each other than specified by the diameter of the annular holder 2.

The third support point in the support position is formed by the lower edge of the pocket 1, provided that it is sufficiently rigid. In the case of a flexible material of the bag, a stiffening strip 14 running along the circumference parallel to the container axis can be inserted into the bag, as is indicated in FIG. 1 by dashed lines. This stiffening strip 14 is attached to the ring-shaped holder 2 with the upper end.

Opposite the ring shape of the holder 2 with a heavy bag To stiffen the forces acting on the circumference by the lug 7, the stiffening strut 13 shown in FIG. 4 is inserted perpendicular to the articulation axis of the lug 7, which can also be omitted if the holder 2 is of a correspondingly rigid design.

The device described with the holder 2 and the support legs 4 articulated thereon and the tab 7 articulated thereon can also be used advantageously for containers other than golf bags. For example, a flexible sack can be attached to the holder 2 as a container, in which case the stiffening strut 14 is provided. The holder 2 can also have a shape other than a circular ring, for example rectangular.

Since there is a web 11 in golf bags anyway, this can be used subsequently for the articulation of the support legs 4 in the form described.

Instead of the rubber band 5, springs for acting on the support legs 4 can also be fastened to the holder 2.

The pull cable 6 is preferably inserted into a groove 15, as indicated in FIG. 2, so that the pull cable 6 can be easily detached from the tab 7 and so that the support legs 4 can be pulled out of the bearing web 11. The removed support legs can then be inserted into the pocket 1.

In the area of the attachment point of the pull cable 6, a washer or a lever can be attached to the support legs 4, to which the pull cable 6 is fastened in order to obtain a favorable force application line of the pull cable 6.
