Description

The invention relates to a net, in particular a volleyball net, with a tubular border provided on its upper edge, through which a tensioning rope is drawn, with borders on its side edges and, if appropriate, tensioning lines attached to these for fixing the net between two posts.

A volleyball net of the type mentioned at the outset is known from DE 89 01 700 U1, with a border provided on its upper edge, for example made of a woven webbing, through which a tensioning rope made of high-strength textile plastic material is pulled between two side posts to hang the net . At the four corner points of the net and approximately in the middle of its side edge, tension cords engage, which are fastened to the facing post with the help of quick-release fasteners for tensioning the net. Furthermore, hose-like surrounds with plastic rods arranged thereon are provided on the side edges of the net, in order to prevent lateral insertion when the net is tensioned, as edge reinforcements. A disadvantage of the known volleyball nets is that the tensioning rope and the net must be tensioned separately from one another. The tensioning rope, which is tensioned by means of a crank on one of the two posts, is often subjected to a much higher tension than the net itself, which is tensioned by hand using the lines wound around the posts. The uneven tension in the net surface leads to a restricted playability of the volleyball net, for example if the volleyball from the block formed by the players hits a region of the net with low tension when the block is being secured, so that the ball often only drips off the net, without being able to be picked up by the player. It should be taken into account here that, in contrast to a Tennis net, the volleyball net itself is an active game element. Also, in the known volleyball nets, because of the simpler handling of the crank mechanism with an uneven tension in the net surface, attempts are often first made to achieve the required net tension with a further tension of the tensioning rope by turning the crank handle. After prolonged use of the game net, this sometimes leads to the extreme tensile stress causing the posts to bend. Another problem is that an alignment of the network to the predetermined floor markings of the playing field is only possible with a considerable amount of time.

From US 4 973 059 a volleyball net is also already known with steel cables arranged in its upper and lower area, which can be tensioned by means of a pulley arrangement. For this purpose, one end of a tensioning rope is articulated on one of the two posts or on a sleeve that is vertically displaceable on the post is guided on the post. The tensioning rope then wraps around a pulley connected to the lower steel rope and is guided to a winch arranged on the post. The hanging and tensioning of the net is still quite complex.

Proceeding from this, the object of the invention is to specify a net, in particular a volleyball net, of the type mentioned at the beginning, in which simultaneous tensioning of the tensioning rope and at least the upper area of the net is made possible.

To achieve the object, it is provided according to the invention that the tension cable with at least one of its two from the Edging of the network guided ends around a deflection roller mounted on a housing and fixed to the associated enclosure and that a tensioning line is fastened to the housing of the deflection roller in a known manner for fixing to the associated post.

In the net according to the invention, the tensioning rope not only fulfills the function of holding the net, but at the same time exerts a tensile force on the net through its end which is returned via the deflection roller and engages on the lateral edge of the net. In cooperation with the side edge reinforcements, the net has a uniform tension over its entire surface. In particular, in the event that the lateral edge reinforcements of the net are formed by tubular enclosures with rods arranged therein, preferably made of plastic, the hand lines engaging on the side edges are practically only required to align the net with its side edges in the vertical direction.

According to a first particular embodiment of the invention, the arrangement is provided on both sides or both posts of the network. As a result, the network can be aligned in a simple manner to the predetermined markings on the playing field. The net is first suspended between the posts, then tensioned by rotating the cranks arranged on the posts and then aligned in the tensioned state according to the field markings on the field floor by moving the net to one side or the other. As a result of this displaceability of the net according to the invention in the tensioned state, it is now also possible to provide only one attachment option for an antenna in a volleyball net, whereas according to the prior art several such attachment options are provided next to one another on the net at a lateral spacing as a result of the problems encountered during alignment had to.

So that at least the end of the tensioning rope, which preferably engages in the area of the upper corner of the net, does not tear out, a loop-like band piece is provided here, preferably sewn on, which encompasses a ring element to which the end of the tensioning rope is fastened.

It is structurally particularly advantageous if at least one deflection roller with housing is designed as a block roller with an eye for fastening the respective tension cable end. Known construction elements can thus be used in the network according to the invention, which considerably reduces the manufacturing costs.

Finally, it is provided according to the invention that at least one tension line is releasably attached to the housing of the deflection roller or its eye. As a result, the tensioning lines, which are subject to increased wear and tear due to frequent assembly and disassembly of the network, can be exchanged in a simple manner without the entire tensioning rope having to be replaced.

Weitere Vorteile und Anwendungsmöglichkeiten der vorliegenden Erfindung ergeben sich aus der nachfolgenden Beschreibung eines Ausführungsbeispieles anhand der ZeichnungFurther advantages and possible uses of the present invention result from the following description of an exemplary embodiment with reference to the drawing

In Figure 1, a volleyball net 1 is shown, which is stretched between two side posts 10. The network 1 is bordered at its upper edge by means of a tubular border 2. A tensioning cable 3 is pulled through this enclosure 2 at the upper edge of the net, the ends 5, 6 of which lead out of the enclosure 2 each loop around a deflection roller 8 mounted in a housing 7 and are fastened to the associated lateral net edge. The ends 5, 6 of the tension cable 3 engage on ring elements 12, which are held with their straight pieces on a loop-like band piece 13 on the respective side edge of the net 1.

The deflection rollers 8 with the housing 7, as can be seen in particular from FIG. 2, are provided with an eye 11 to which the respective tensioning line 9 is attached.

The tensioning lines 9 are fed into the interior of the posts 10 via rollers 18 to a crank drive 19 with a crank handle 7, which is secured against kickback by means of a locking mechanism (not shown).

The net 1 has on its vertical edges further tube-like mounts 15, in which glass-fiber-reinforced plastic rods 20 are arranged in the exemplary embodiment chosen here, which prevent the side parts from bulging out when the net 1 is tensioned. Possibly. The lower net edge can also have a tubular border, in which a tension rope (not shown) sewn at the ends is drawn in, in order to counteract indentations of the lower net edge part during tensioning.

At the side edges attack further tension lines 4, which are placed at a small angle to the horizontal around the posts 10 and tightened by means of quick-release fasteners 21. So that the tension lines 4 not tear out, tape loops 13 are also sewn to the lateral borders 15, in each of which in turn a ring element 12 is held for fastening the respective tensioning line 4.

In the exemplary embodiment chosen here, holding pockets 22 are attached to the lateral end regions of the network and serve to hold antennas 14.

To assemble the net 1, the tension lines 9 attached to the eyes 11 of the housing 7 and the deflection rollers 8 are first guided into the interior of the posts 10 and placed on the crank drives 19. By turning the hand cranks 17, the tensioning cable 3 is tensioned by means of the tensioning lines 9. At the same time, the net 1 is also tensioned by the deflection and the return of the tension rope ends 5, 6 to the two net side edges. Due to the two block roles, the network 1 can be moved laterally in this tensioned state in order to easily align the antennas 14 to field markings on the field floor. Then the side edges of the net 1 are aligned in the vertical direction by placing the tensioning lines 4 around the posts 10 and lashing them down using the quick-action fasteners 21. The network 1 is now fully assembled.
