Abstract

The present invention relates to a coating assembly or construction (1), particularly designed for application to deck chairs (3), which comprises a rectangular portion (2) of not woven fabric. The top and bottom end portions (5,6) of which are provided with bent flaps (4), whereby the rectangular portion (2) can be engaged with the wood body of the deck chair.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a coating assembly or construction which has been specifically designed for application to deck chairs,beach beds and the like.
As is known deck chairs are extensively used on beaches,lakes and swimming pool borders and other like places.
Conventional dech chairs usually comprise a wood body or framework,supporting a rectangular piece or portion of wax processed plastic fabric,adapted to provide the chair seat or deck.
Prior deck chairs,however,are affected by a main drawback.
In fact the plastic fabric material,as it contacts the user skin,can transmit disagreeable skin affections,especially if they are used by a plurality of persons.
Moreover,the above mentioned plastic fabric, in addition to be scarsely hygienic,can frequently collect thereon dust.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Accordingly,the aim of the present invention is to overcome the above mentioned drawbacks,by providing a coating assembly for deck chairs,made of a not-woven fabric material,which is very hygienic and does dot cause any affections to the deck chair users.
Within the scope of the above mentioned aim,a main object of the present invention is to provide such a coating construction which can be made as a disposable assembly or a coating assembly suitable for an easy and frequent replacement and which,moreover,is very reliable in operation and can be easily made starting from easily available and recyclable elements and materials.
Another object of the present invention is to provide such a deck chair coating assembly which is very competitive from a mere economic stanpoint and which can also be used for advertising and the like purposes, thereby affording the possibility of a gratuitous supply or a very low cost supply by the makers thereof.
According to one aspect of the present invention,the above mentioned aim and objects,as well as yet other objects,which will become more apparent hereinafter are achieved by a coating assembly,specifically designed for application to deck chairs and the like,characterized in that said coating assembly comprises a rectangular portion made of a not woven fabric material,said rectangular portion including top and bottom end portions which are provided with bent flaps, thereby said rectangular portion can be engaged with a wood framework of said deck chair,beach bed or the like.

Figure 1 is a top side perspective view illustrating the coating construction or assembly according to the present invention;
Figure 2 is a cross-sectioned side view illustrating the bottom portion of the coating assembly according to the present invention,as applied to a portion of a deck chair;
Figure 3 is a side perspective view of a deck chair with the coating assembly according to the present invention being partially applied to said deck chair;
and
Figure 4 is a side perspective view of the deck chair to which is applied the coating assembly according to the present invention.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

With reference to the number references of the figures of the accompanying drawings,the coating assembly to be applied to deck chairs and the like, and which has been generally indicated at the reference number 1,comprises a rectangular portion 2 made of a not woven fabric material,advantageously of a perfectly recyclable type,which can be applied to a deck chair indicated at 3.
More specifically,the top and bottom end portions 5 and 6 of the portion 2 are provided with bent flaps 4,thereby said end fabric portions can be engaged or latched to the wood framework of the deck chair 3, as is shown in figures 2,3 and 4.
Moreover,at the turned portions 4,i.e at the longitudinal side segments a,b,c and d,said fabric portions 4 are coupled to one another by seaming, glueing and the like.
In particular,the coating assembly will be arranged above the plastic waxed fabric 8 of the deck chair 3,while preventing the user's skin from contacting said plastic material 8.
In this connection it should be apparent that the mentioned coating assembly can be easily and quickly replaced,it can be made with different colours and moreover can be provided with advertising wordings and the like.
The invention as disclosed is susceptible to several modifications and variations all of which will come within the invention scope.
Moreover,all the details can be replaced by other technically equivalent elements.
In practicing the invention,the used materials and the size of the subject coating assembly can be any depending on requirements.

Claims

A coating assembly,specifically designed for application to deck chairs,beach beds or the like, characterized in that said coating assembly comprises a rectangular portion made of a not woven fabric material,said rectangular portion including top and bottom end portions which are provided with bent flaps,thereby said rectangular portion can be engaged with a wood framework of said deck chair,beach bed or the like.
A coating assembly according to claim 1,characterized in that said top and bottom end portions thereof are bag shaped.
A coating assembly according to one or more of the preceding claims,characterized in that said top and bottom end portions thereof are bent on themselves and being provided at the bent portion thereof,with longitudinal side seams.
A coating assembly according to one or more of the preceding claims,characterized in that said top and bottom end portions thereof,of bag shape,are stitched or glued or clamped to one enother.
