Description

The invention relates to a reusable transport container for rolls of wound band-shaped material, in particular rolls of photo paper.

In the processing of photographic paper for the production of images by means of automatic processing machines (printer), roll goods are mostly used. Photo paper webs are cut into comparatively narrow strips and wound into rolls, and these rolls must be carefully packaged for transport and to protect against unwanted exposure. The present invention aims on the one hand to avoid or reduce the packaging expenditure associated therewith and at the same time helps to reduce packaging waste.

In WO 91/12561 a reusable bulk packaging has been proposed for this purpose, which consists of a light-tight base and a rigid cover that can be connected to the base in a light-tight manner and contains at least one horizontally arranged spindle on the inside of the space formed by the cover and the base free end the roles are pushed on or removed. The spindle is designed with a variable diameter, on the one hand to allow the rollers to move over the spindle and, on the other hand, to secure their locking. Due to the horizontal arrangement of the spindle and thus the roller axis, the rollers do not have to be tilted when removing them from the spindle and inserting them into the processing machine, which is a certain relief for the personnel in view of the considerable weight of the rollers (generally more than 10 kg) means. The horizontal spindle, which has a variable diameter and is only attached on one side, combined with the great weight of the roller to be carried by the spindle, on the other hand makes a very complex construction required to ensure the desired stability. In addition, most reels are not in a convenient position for manual removal, and this applies, for example, to the reels pushed onto the lower spindles as well as reels that were the first to be pushed onto an upper spindle and are accordingly the last to be removed have to. On the other hand, the present invention aims to ensure better stability of the packaging unit with reasonable effort and to facilitate manual removal of the rolls.

Zur Entnahme müssen die Spulen aus dieser oberen Position über das obere Ende der jeweiligen Stange und über eine gegebenenfalls vorhandene Außenwand gehoben werden, was sich bei Spulen geringeren Gewichts, z.B. 3 bis 4 kg, noch leicht bewerkstelligen läßt.DE-A-37 24 954 describes a device for transporting coils, in which rods are provided which are suitable for accommodating a plurality of coils and are provided with an abutment which is longitudinally displaceably guided on the respective rod and which supports the lower coils. The rods guide and hold the attached coils during transport. A load-dependent, tension-releasable spring acts on the abutment, which lifts the respective uppermost coil into an upper position that is favorable for removal. For removal, the bobbins must be lifted from this upper position over the upper end of the respective rod and over an optionally present outer wall, which is the case with spools of lower weight, e.g. 3 to 4 kg, can still be easily accomplished.

The present invention has the aim that even rolls of greater weight can still be removed easily.

Finally, the present invention aims to secure the transport goods within the reusable transport container during transport.

  • a closable container lid (3) hinged to a wall (2)
  • and at least one vertical guide column (4) fastened to the container base (1) with one vertically along this guide column Slidable horizontal load plate (5) for receiving a roll stack and a pressure-dependent tension spring (6) arranged between the container bottom (1) and the load plate (5), by means of which the uppermost roll (7) of the roll stack can be moved to a working height (a ) is lifted, which lies above the upper end of the guide column (4) and above the front wall of the reusable transport container and can be sucked over the container edge without hindrance,
Each guide column (4) is assigned a counterpart (8) which is fastened in the container lid (3) and which engages positively on the upper end of the guide column (4) when the container is closed and together with it between the container bottom (1) and container lid (3) forms the container stabilizing and the roller stack resting on the load plate (5) against lateral movement securing unit.

The container is formed from an essentially rectangular or square container base 1 with vertical walls 2 and a container lid 3 hinged to the rear wall. The shape and dimensions depend on the size of the rolls to be transported, or on the number of those on the container base standing guide pillars 4. For the transport of For reels with a larger diameter (d> approx. 50 cm), the reusable transport container has, for example, a single guide column and expediently a square plan. In the case of smaller rolls, for example, 4 or 6 guide columns can be present. Fig. 1 shows two consecutive guide columns 4 in the plane of representation, each with a horizontal load plate 5 vertically displaceable along the guide column and a load-dependent tensionable and releasable compression spring 6 arranged between the container bottom 1 and the load plate 5. The guide columns 4 are designed so that they are for the Recording and centering the rolls of the roll stack and for securing them against lateral movement are suitable. By means of the compression spring 6, the load plate 5 is raised so far that the uppermost roller 7 lies freely even with different roller heights and can be pulled forward over the edge of the container without hindrance. The load plate 5 shown at the front, on the left in the illustration, bears a free-standing roller (= top roller 7). This roller is located above the upper end of the guide column and above the upper edge of the front wall and can therefore be pulled forward by the operator, to the left in the illustration, from the load plate. The rear load plate, on the right in the illustration, carries a roll stack with a top roll as well. The compression spring is compressed and tensioned under the load of the roll stack. The top roll is also above the top of the guide column and above the top of the walls. The compression springs 6 are expediently equipped with an expansion lock, which prevents the load plate 5 from being raised further after reaching the favorable removal position for the lowermost roller lying directly on it and when it is removed, thereby hindering the removal of the rollers of the rear roller stack. The topmost roller of the rear roller stack is expediently lifted somewhat higher than the contact surface of the front load plate by suitable dimensioning of the rear guide column and the associated compression spring.

The rolls must be secured horizontally and vertically during transport. The horizontal securing is carried out by the guide column 4, which is additionally stabilized by the associated counterpart 8 fastened in the container lid when the container is closed. Fig. 2 shows that the counterpart 8 is conical at its end and engages in a conical trough 9 in the upper end of the guide column 4 when the container is closed.

Container engages in a conical trough 9 in the upper end of the guide column 4. While the lower rollers are centered by a suitable coordination of the diameter of the guide column 4 and the inner diameter of the rollers by the guide column 4 and secured against lateral movement, the top and freely lying roller is secured horizontally and vertically by the counterpart 8, which has a conical extension 10 engages conclusively in the upper central opening of the top roller 7. In addition, the counterpart 8 can be assigned a spring element 11 which, when the container is closed, rests against the upper surface of the top roller 7 and presses the roller stack against the compression spring 6.

The light-tight closure is achieved in that the container at the upper edge of its vertical walls and at the lower edge of the container lid contains suitable all-round cooperating edge formations with embedded elastic sealing compounds. When the container is closed, they form an all-round opaque labyrinth seal. Fig. 3 shows that the container at the upper edge of the vertical wall 2 has a U-profile-like reinforcement in the form of a circumferential angle 12 fastened there, in which an elastic sealant 14 is embedded. Likewise, the container lid 3 also has a U-profile-like reinforcement in the form of a circumferential angle 13 fastened there, in which an elastic sealing compound 15 is embedded. When the container is closed, the upper edge of the vertical wall 2 presses into the sealing compound 15 and the free leg of the angle 13 fastened to the container lid into the sealing compound 14, so that there is an opaque labyrinth seal all around.

To secure against unintentional or unauthorized opening, the reusable transport container according to the invention can be equipped with a locking device with a lock. During use (removal of the rollers), the container lid 3 can be locked in any opening angle by suitable arrangement of one or more gas pressure springs.

In order to achieve good volume utilization during transport and storage, the reusable transport container according to the invention can be designed to be stackable. Fig. 4 shows the equipment with support feet 16 and corresponding corners 17 on the container lid 3, through which the stackability and suitability for transport is ensured by pallet trucks and forklifts.
