- the height of the ribs 19 increases when viewed in the direction of rotation of the rotor 3, so that in the operating state shown in FIG. 1 there is a continuous transition from the product outlet 10 to the grate section 11.
- the base frame 14 and the material transport surface 15 can be pivoted about a common, horizontally arranged axis 20, the material transport surface 15 being able to be moved in the direction of the base frame 14 against the action of a prestressed spring assembly 21 which is supported on the base frame 14 when the pretension is exceeded.
- An adjustment unit 22 arranged on the housing 1 serves to displace the base frame 14.
- the material When the hammer crusher is in operation, the material is transported from the material feed area 9 via the metering device 8 to the feed surface 16, where the comminution process preferably takes place in connection with the striking edge 17 by the circumferential hammers 5 acting on the material. Easy-to-shred and already small-sized material tunnels through the free spaces between the ribs 19 and is ejected. The remaining material remains in the shredding circuit at least until the further good outlet 12 is reached, the passage openings of which are expediently chosen to be smaller than that of the good outlet 10.
- the pieces of material which have not yet been sufficiently comminuted in the area of the material outlet 12 essentially leave the interior of the comminution device after a full circulation via the material outlet 10.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a comminution device for in particular scrap, industrial and / or domestic waste with a housing, which has a feed area and a discharge area, and a rotor which is rotatable about a horizontal axis received by the housing and is equipped with comminution tools, the comminution tools interact with abutments on the housing to carry out the shredding.
A shredding device of this type is known from DE-PS 36 43 529, in which the material to be shredded is subject to direct shredding over an angular range of approximately 180 ° and is then fed to a variable size outlet. If the material opposes the comminution with a very high resistance, there is a risk that considerable forces act on the rotor and the abutments located on the housing until the material outlet, at which material which is not or comparatively difficult to comminute can be ejected, is reached. As a result of the occurrence of such forces, damage to the rotor in particular cannot be ruled out. An associated unfavorable change in the dynamic behavior of the rotor can, in extreme cases, lead to the failure of the entire comminution device.
The invention is based on the object of further developing a comminution device of the type described at the outset in such a way that peak values of the force which occur in the comminution process and lie well above the average necessary power requirement and which cause the device to be overstressed in continuous operation are largely suppressed.
The object is achieved according to the invention in that the feed area is provided below the horizontal plane containing the rotor axis, followed by a good outlet which replaces or supplements the discharge area in the direction of rotation of the rotor and is lower than the feed area.
A good outlet immediately downstream of the goods delivery area is advantageous in two respects. On the one hand, material that offers a particularly high resistance to comminution can be qualified as such on the basis of the size of the interaction forces when the hammers strike the material and can then be removed from the comminution process. On the other hand, there is the possibility of extracting essentially all of the supplied material from the comminution process after comminution only in the area between the material feed and the product outlet. Such an operating mode leads to a product which can be easily shredded and which, without having to be shredded again, is available for further processing. Material which is relatively difficult to comminute can be subjected to a pre-comminution in such a way that further comminution can preferably take place in a conventional mill or shredder.
In order to change the effective cross section of the product outlet, the product outlet in a preferred embodiment of the invention has a multi-part wall with at least one wall part which can be moved relative to the others.
According to an expedient embodiment of the invention, the corresponding wall part is displaced counter to the action of prestressed, elastic elements. If the forces generated during comminution exceed a certain, preselectable value, the wall part deviates and releases a larger cross section for material which cannot be comminuted sufficiently.
A pivotable base is expediently used as the displaceable wall part, the horizontal pivot axis of which is arranged on the side of the base facing the feed area.
If ribs are formed on the wall part along the material movement direction, the height of which preferably increases in the material discharge direction, then sufficiently comminuted material can be ejected between the ribs.
The larger pieces of material transported on the upper edges of the ribs remain in the shredding circuit if further shredding of this material is also necessary. For this purpose, the ends of the ribs are at least at the level of the housing part following in the comminution circuit. Otherwise, the wall part is displaced downwards in such a way that a space of sufficient size is created between the ends of the ribs and the downstream housing part so that the larger pieces of material can be ejected separately from the material moving between the ribs.
For an intensive comminution of particularly easily comminuted material, the ribs located on the wall part are arranged transversely to the direction of material movement in such a practical embodiment of the invention that they submerge into the spaces between the comminution tools of the rotor when the wall part is shifted towards the rotor. The areas of the ribs remaining in the product outlet can be supplemented by additional structural elements, for example in the form of longitudinal and transverse webs, for determining the size and throughput of material.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, an abutment which can be subjected to tensile stress and which interacts with the comminution tools of the rotor during the comminution of the material is arranged in the feed area. This makes it possible to loosen up, separate and partially shred coherent pieces of material. The secondary comminution can take place both in the same apparatus and in apparatuses specially adapted to the comminution target.
In a further preferred embodiment of the comminution device, it is a material-carrying device. End piece of the material feed area, an abutment and a material outlet area are combined to form a rigid component, the distance to the rotor of which can be changed.
The abutment is expediently designed to withstand pressure. If inadmissibly high forces occur in the area of the abutment, the distance from the abutment to the rotor can be increased, as a result of which the overall cross section of the product outlet is increased. Material which is difficult to comminute can thus be removed from the comminution device without problems, without causing excessive stress on the same.
The invention will be explained in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment and associated drawings.

The
When the hammer crusher is in operation, the material is transported from the

It is also within the scope of the invention not to provide the
