Zusätzlich zu ihrer Vertikal- und Lateralbewegung werden die beiden Halbrahmen 23 und 24 gemeinsam also auch quer versetzt, und zwar - wie Fig. 6 veranschaulicht - um die Strecke 49 von in der Praxis etwa 50 mm. Diese Querbewegung vollzieht sich gegen Ende der Vorhol- und Schließbewegung der Halbrahmen 23 und 24 wie in umgekehrter Richtung in der anfänglichen Bewegungsphase beim Öffnen und Versenken. Wenn der betreffende Teilrahmen vorgeholt wird, durchdringt er also den Ringkern, so daß der Ring ohne weiteres umreift werden kann. Vorrichtung zum Umreifen von Packstücken mit insbesondere bandförmigem Umreifungsmittel, welches von einem Bandvorrat in einen Bandführungskanal ein- und durch diesen hindurch einem Bandverschlußaggregat zugeführt wird, wobei der Bandführungskanal an einem Rahmen vorgesehen ist, der von zwei im wesentlichen hälftigen Rahmenteilen (Halbrahmen) aufbaubar ist, die aus einer Ruheposition einwärts der Packstückauflageebene vorgeholt und zu einem Rahmen in der Umreifungsebene geschlossen und nach einer Umreifung wieder geöffnet und in die Ruheposition versenkt werden, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Halbrahmen (23, 24) mit ihrer Vorholbewegung geschlossen und mit ihrer Öffnungsbewegung abgesenkt werden und daß sie relativ zur Umreifungsebene (25) derart querverlagert werden, daß sie ihre Ruheposition neben in der Umreifungsebene befindlichen Maschinenteilen (16) finden.1.
