Description

The invention relates to a folding container, in particular for bulk goods such as plastic granules or the like, as known from GB-A-2 037 711.

- Hier will die Erfindung Abhilfe schaffen. For the transport and temporary storage of free-flowing bulk goods such as plastic granules or the like, container-like disposable packaging made of corrugated cardboard, for example, is known. Disposable packaging of this type, which often still has to be stabilized by steel strips, entails a considerable disposal problem after being emptied. - The invention seeks to remedy this.

The invention has for its object to provide a container for the transport, storage and processing of bulk goods that can be reused after its emptying and transported back to its filling location in a space-saving design.

To achieve this object, the subject of the invention is a folding container according to claim 1. According to the teaching of the invention, the transport, storage and emptying of the a collapsible container in the empty state, namely folding container, is realized for bulk goods to be processed such as plastic granules or the like. Such a folding container, which according to a preferred embodiment consists of recyclable plastic, can be used as reusable packaging for the bulk material and is therefore often reusable. In addition, the folding container according to the invention is a space-saving empties, so it can be stored in a narrow space after emptying and transported back to its filling location. This eliminates the previous disposal problems. Furthermore, the packaging costs are significantly reduced. - This shows the main advantages achieved by the invention.

Further features essential to the invention are listed below. Thus, the emptying opening and the sealing cover are expediently circular, the sealing cover which can be screwed into the emptying opening being secured in the closed position by means of a bayonet catch. The closure lid can have water passage slots which, for. B. are arranged in the edge region of the closure lid and ensure constant drainage of the folding container. Advantageously, the closure lid has a handle on its underside, e.g. B. a rib over a lid diameter as a handle, so that the folding container or its emptying opening can be easily opened from below when the container is full. - Furthermore, the invention provides that the container floor has on its underside at predetermined intervals parallel skids, so that the folding container according to the invention easily reach under a forklift and in other moves. This makes the use of pallet-compatible pallets, which are necessary for the manipulation of container-like disposable packaging, superfluous. The sliding runners are expediently formed on the container floor and are designed as continuous runners in the area of the floor edge, on the other hand interrupted in the area of the floor center due to the emptying opening located there. - According to a proposal of the invention it is provided that at least one container wall has a side opening with a closure flap and the closure flap can be locked in the closed position by means of a locking device. This side opening enables the folding container according to the invention to be emptied from the side if it is not possible to empty the floor for technical or spatial reasons. According to the invention, the locking device is designed as a spring-loaded slide bolt and is arranged in a guide recess on the side opposite the articulation of the closure flap. The spring acting on the sliding bolt ensures that the sliding bolt is always held correctly in its locking position, that is to say the locking flap is always properly locked in the closed position. Within the scope of the invention, of course, several slide bars can be provided for the closure flap. To unlock the closure flap, the slide bolt is raised, as it were, and can be expediently disengaged from the guide recess in the unlocked position, so it can be locked in the disengaged position and latched back into the guide recess to lock the closure flap out of this unlocked position, in order to lower it and the To reach over the flap. - According to another embodiment, the locking device can also be designed as a friction device or as a plurality of friction devices.

According to a further proposal of the invention with independent importance, it is provided that the articulation of the container walls to the frame and the closure flap in the region of the side opening on the container wall in question takes place by means of T-shaped hinge bolts which engage in T-shaped hinge recesses, e.g. B. are clickable. The T-shaped hinge bolts can be located on the container walls or on the closure flap or vice versa on the frame and the container wall in the area of the side opening. The same applies in reverse for the T-shaped hinge recesses.
