Description

The invention relates to a chair, in particular an office or work chair, with a backrest according to the features specified in the preamble of claim 1.

A chair of this type is disclosed in CH-A-558158.

A disadvantage of conventionally designed office chairs, in which the backrest can be tilted relative to the seat surface, is that although they allow the upper body to lean back, they do not support the desired natural hollow bending of the spine (lordosis). To remedy this, the back plate of chairs of the specified type is freely pivoted on the backrest support about a horizontal pendulum axis. When the user is standing upright, it supports his or her back below the pendulum axis in the lower thoracic vertebrae area and also in the upper lumbar area. If the user leans backwards, the back plate is tilted backwards by the pressure now exerted by the user in the upper thoracic vertebrae area and in the shoulder area, while at the same time the part below the pendulum axis is pressed forward and thus supports the hollow bending of the back and the lordosis - Increased support. However, this only works if the lever arm of the force acting above the pendulum axis is greater than the lever arm of the support area pressed against the back below the pendulum axis, since otherwise the back plate cannot tilt backwards. This means, that the back plate can only extend downwards to a limited extent and there is no effective back support in the lower lumbar region and in the pelvic region.

The object of the invention is to provide a chair of the type specified so that an additional support in the lower lumbar and pelvic area is created while maintaining the pendulum support of the back plate and the associated ergonomic advantages, which the user stiff in any sitting position Backrests provide the familiar feeling of security.

The solution to this problem according to the invention is specified in claim 1. The subclaims relate to advantageous further refinements of the invention.

Two embodiments of the invention are explained in more detail below on the drawing.

Fig. 1 zeigt in schematisch vereinfachter Seitenansicht eine erste Ausführungsform der Erfindung.1 shows a schematically simplified side view of a first embodiment of the invention.

Fig. 2 zeigt in ähnlicher Darstellung eine zweite Ausführungsform.Fig. 2 shows a second embodiment in a similar representation.

An ihrem unteren Ende ist die Beckenabstützplatte 17 am Rückenträger 7 höhenverschiebbar gelagert, beispielsweise durch einen Führungszapfen 19, der in einen Führungsschlitz 21 am Rückenträger 7 eingreift.1, a seat support 3 - preferably rotatable and height-adjustable - is mounted on a base frame 1, on which a seat plate 5 is arranged rigidly or movably. A backrest support 7 has an arm 7a which engages under the seat support 3 and is mounted in a horizontal-axis swivel joint 9 on the seat support 3. The means for rotating and adjusting the height of the seat support 3, for moving the seat plate 5 and for controlling and / or locking the inclination of the backrest support 7 are omitted in the drawing for the sake of simplicity. At the upper end of the backrest support 7 is in a horizontal-axis pendulum joint a rigid back plate 13 is pivoted freely. This is connected in one piece to a rigid lower pelvic support plate 17 via a flexible connecting section 15, which represents a horizontal-axis connecting joint. Of course, the back plate 13 and pelvic support plate 17 can also be formed as separate parts and connected by a connecting joint. At its lower end, the pelvic support plate 17 is mounted such that it can be displaced in height on the back support 7, for example by means of a guide pin 19 which engages in a guide slot 21 on the back support 7.

Back plate 13 and pelvic support plate 17 are covered with a common cushion, and this contour defines a normal back support point 23 below the pendulum axis 11, for example in the lower thoracic vertebra area of an upright user. The support in the lower lumbar and in the pelvic region is brought about by the pelvic support plate 17, for example at a support point 25, the support force being partly introduced via the connecting link 15 into the back plate 11, but mainly via the guide 19, 21 directly into the backrest support 7.

If the user leans back and exerts a force on the back plate 13 above the pendulum axis 11 with his upper back and shoulder area, it swings backwards due to the larger lever arm relative to the pendulum axis 11, with the part lying below the pendulum axis also being included the back support point 23 is moved forward and thus supports the hollow bending of the user's back. This movement is also followed by the upper area of the pelvic support plate 17, so that the support of the lower lumbar and pelvic area is not lost at about point 25. During this forward movement of the pelvic support plate 17, its lower end slides upward in the guide 21 on the backrest support 7, so that the back plate 13 and pelvic support plate 17 assume, for example, the position shown in dashed lines in FIG. 1.

These functions take place regardless of whether the backrest support 7 is additionally inclined in the swivel joint 9. By means of a tension or compression spring indicated at 27, a pretension can be set to adapt to an individual user experience.

The embodiment shown in FIG. 2 differs from that of FIG. 1 only in that the lower end of the back plate 17 in the guide 19, 21 is not freely displaceable, but that this displacement is positively controlled depending on the inclination of the back support 7 . In the embodiment shown, this forced control is effected by a traction cable guide, a traction cable 29 being fastened to the guide pin 19 of the pelvic support plate 17. One end of the pull cable 29 is fastened below the swivel joint 9 in a first anchoring point 31, while the other end of the pull cable 29 is guided around a deflection roller 33 on the backrest support 7 and is then fastened in the region of the swivel joint 9 in a second anchoring point 35.

The arrangement of the anchoring points 31, 35 shown above and below the swivel joint 9 ensures that when the backrest support 7 is inclined backwards, the guide pin 19 in the guide slot 21 is pulled upward, as a result of which the pelvic support plate 17 is forcibly moved forward in its upper part, so that there is a bulging of the backrest in the lumbar region.
