Definitions

  • the invention relates to a hearing aid with at least one switching means as an on / off switch, as a multi-function switch, as an MTO switch, as a volume step switch, as a situation switch, as a switching means for influencing the gain control, the compression control, the limitation of the output power or for changing other parameters of the transmission characteristics of the hearing aid.
  • at least one switching means as an on / off switch, as a multi-function switch, as an MTO switch, as a volume step switch, as a situation switch, as a switching means for influencing the gain control, the compression control, the limitation of the output power or for changing other parameters of the transmission characteristics of the hearing aid.
  • Known hearing aids on the market have a volume control for changing the acoustic amplification and a multifunction switch, e.g. MTO switch, on.
  • the hearing aid is switched off in switch position 0.
  • the amplifier In position M when the hearing aid is switched on, the amplifier is electrically connected to the microphone and in position T when the hearing aid is switched on the amplifier is electrically connected to a telephone coil.
  • the hearing aid can be equipped with adjustment switches or switches e.g. be provided for setting the fundamental frequency, for setting the frequency range (low frequency, high frequency) or for limiting the maximum output sound pressure.
  • an ITE device with an actuating button arranged in the faceplate is known.
  • the actuating button is rotatably mounted on the one hand as an on / off switch, axial projections limiting the rotary movement of the actuating button in the defined off and in the defined on-switching position.
  • the actuation button remains in both defined switching positions until it is intentionally brought into the other switching position by turning.
  • further switch contacts are assigned to the actuation button.
  • the actuation button is also designed as a pressure switch, such that two different volumes can be set by pressing the actuation button, for which purpose two defined switching positions are provided.
  • the combined rotary and pressure switch can be expanded by a counter, so that the counter controls the volume depending on the count.
  • EP-B-0 064 042 discloses a circuit arrangement for a hearing aid in which, for example, the parameters for eight different environmental situations are stored in a memory.
  • a situation switch By actuating a situation switch, a first group of parameters is called up and, via a control unit, controls a signal processor connected between the microphone and the receiver, which then sets a first transmission function intended for an intended environment. All eight transfer functions can be called up in succession via a switch until the right one is found.
  • automatic adaptation by switching to another transfer function is also provided if the user e.g. comes from a noisy environment to a quiet environment or vice versa. This switchover also takes place cyclically.
  • EP-AO 491 072 discloses a hearing aid device with a microphone, amplifier device, receiver and power source and with further components designed as actuators, switches and / or control elements which are contacted on at least one printed circuit board inside the hearing device housing.
  • an anisotropic, electrically conductive plate, foil or mat-shaped body consisting of an electrically insulating matrix material with a uniformly distributed multitude of electrically conductive and perpendicular to the plates, foils - or mat-level fibers arranged.
  • the actuators and / or potentiometers and / or switches are arranged on the printed circuit board using the anisotropic body as a contact element. This arrangement is intended to make the electrical connections between the components easier to assemble and without soldering processes, the components being fastened and replaceable the structure of the switches and potentiometers themselves is simplified.
  • the invention is based on the object of improving a hearing aid of the type mentioned at the outset and being able to design it in a simpler manner in that additional or existing switching means can be dispensed with by expanding the functions of an existing switching means.
  • the functions of this switching device are expanded in such a way that it can also take over the function of other switching devices and separate switching devices can thus be omitted.
  • a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention results if, in the case of a hearing aid with an on / off switch or MTO switch and with a plurality of stored parameter sets for different environmental situations, the on / off switch or the MTO switch in addition to a situation switch at least one unstable switch position is assigned to the defined switch positions "on, off” or “one-microphone operation, one-telephone coil operation, off", such that when the actuating means of the switch is tapped beyond its defined on-switch position by the briefly contacted labile Switch position an additional function can be triggered, which takes over the function of a situation switch.
  • the additional unstable switch position of the on / off switch or the MTO switch saves a separate switching means only by means of an additional contact.
  • the on / off switch or the MTO switch in hearing aids are generally designed so that they can be operated easily by the hearing impaired, an easy-to-use situation changeover switch is also created with this switching means, since it switches into the on / off switch or MTO Switch is integrated.
  • a housing frame in a housing 1 formed, for example, from shells 4, the electrical and electromechanical hearing aid components, such as an amplifier unit with hearing aid amplifier board 2, a microphone and a receiver (not shown), a battery 8, a volume control 9, a switching means in the form of an MTO switch 10, actuating elements 11, battery spring contacts 12 and so on.
  • the lower end of the housing 1 forms a battery drawer 6, which can be opened to insert the battery 8.
  • the battery drawer 6 closes a battery compartment 7 and is pivotally attached to the housing frame 4 via an axis 5.
  • a support bracket 20 at the upper end of the housing 1. Screws 21 are drawn in as fastening means for fastening the MTO switch 10 or the volume control 9 against the housing frame 4.
  • the multifunction switch 10 can be switched off by means of its handle / actuating means 13 in the defined switch positions O hearing aid, M hearing aid switched on for microphone operation or T hearing aid switched on for telephone coil operation.
  • the MTO switch 10 can be moved beyond the M position into the unstable switching position S by tapping the handle 13, in which the switching means 10 performs a special function.
  • the switching means 10 comprises movable switching contacts 25, 26 and the fixed contacts 27 to 29 assigned to the defined and unstable switching positions, a circuit between moving switching contacts and certain fixed contacts being closed in the case of a defined switching position, and after tapping of the actuating means 13 of the Switch 10, a movable switching contact 25 remains in conductive connection with the fixed contact 28 of the defined switching position, while another movable switching contact 26 briefly contacts a fixed contact 29 of the unstable switching position to trigger an additional switching function.
  • the switching means 10 consists of a switch housing 3 with an actuating means 13 and switching cams 14. Furthermore, the switch 10 has a printed circuit board 15 with conductor tracks arranged on both sides, a cam or cam disk 17 seated on a switch axis 16, and holding means and one electrical connection to a circuit of the hearing aid amplifier board 2.
  • a retaining ring 18, a tension disk 19 and a compression spring 22 can be inserted into the switch housing 3 as the holding means, a contact mat 24 made of anisotropic electrical being used for the electrical connection between contacts 23 of the cam or cam disk 17 and the conductor tracks of the hearing aid amplifier board 2 conductive material is provided.
  • an additional function for example a situation changeover, a volume change, etc.
  • the switching device automatically drops or moves back to the last defined switching position (switching position M in the example).
  • This backward movement of the switching means is determined by the prestressed arrangement of the switch parts and by the interaction the switching cam 14 of the switch housing 3 with the cam or cam 17 causes. The tapping and the additional function switching process triggered thereby does not impair the function of the hearing aid selected with the previously set switching position M.
  • the invention is applicable to switching devices of in-the-ear hearing aids as well as switching devices of BTE hearing devices or hearing glasses.
  • MTO switch there are also simple on / off switches or volume level switches or control switches for changing the hearing aid characteristics as switching devices that are supplemented by one or more unstable switching positions for triggering one or more additional functions.
  • the contact arrangement of a switching means 10 shown schematically in FIG. 3 is drawn in the switch position “off”. If the switch 10 is actuated to switch on the hearing aid, the contact 25, which has a switch connection to the amplifier circuit of the hearing aid, closes a circuit via the fixed contact 27 or 28.
  • the defined switch position 28 is followed by an unstable switch position for a special function. If the switch position 28 is briefly run over, on the one hand the contact connection from the movable switch contact 25 to the fixed contact 28 is maintained for the selected hearing aid function and on the other hand there is also contact between the switch contacts 26 and 27, which means e.g. it is possible to switch the hearing aid to a different ambient sound situation.
  • the hearing aid can be switched to microphone operation via the contact bridge 25-28 and the hearing aid can be switched to telephone coil operation via the contact bridge 25-27.
