Abstract

An anti-panic espagnolette lock for the standing wing of two-winged doors is provided with at least one espagnolette (6) retractable into its unlocking position as a result of the actuation of a lock follower and with at least one release (3) which is drive-connected to the espagnolette (6) via a driver and which, during the retracting movement of the espagnolette (6), moves out of the espagnolette lock on the end face and thereby presses the lock latch and/or the lock bolt of the passage-wing lock accommodated in the passage wing (23) back into its opening position. So that the anti-panic espagnolette lock releases the passage-wing lock even when there are different gap widths between the standing wing and passage wing, without the possibility that damage to the standing-wing or passage-wing lock will occur, the release (for example, 3) possesses a resilient over-travel greater in relation to the driver (for example, 20) loading it. The release (for example, 3) is preferably supported resiliently relative to the driver (for example, 20). <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a panic espagnolette lock for the passive leaf of double-leaf doors, with at least one drive rod that can be brought into its unlocking position by actuating the lock nut and at least one trigger that is connected to it via a driver, which, when the drive rod pulls in, extends from the front of the drive rod lock and thereby the lock latch and / or presses the lock bolt of the active leaf lock housed in the active leaf back into its or its open position.

Panic espagnolette locks of the above type are known from DE-PS 29 14 372, DE-OS 36 36 236 and DE-GM 90 11 099. They make it possible that, in the event of a panic, the inside actuation of the lock nut not only retracts the connecting rods from their extended locking position into their unlocking position releasing the passive leaf, but at the same time extends their triggers from the connecting rod lock in order to press the latch bolt and the slide bolt of the active leaf lock into their open position , so that the double-leaf door can be opened with as little damage as possible. It is essential that the extension strokes are adapted to the insertion strokes of the active wing lock elements to be pushed back by them. But this is the case with the known generic panic espagnolette locks only with very specific gap widths between the passive and active leaves. In practice, however, these requirements are often not met. Because the aforementioned gap width changes with time and also corresponding installation tolerances cannot be avoided, the known panic espagnolette locks often cause corresponding damage when opening the double-leaf door caused by the passive leaf, which primarily results in the trigger being extended too far or not sufficiently, and in the latter case based on the then not sufficiently wide pushing back of the active wing lock parts.

The invention is therefore based on the object of improving and perfecting a panic espagnolette lock of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that it releases the active leaf lock perfectly even with different gap widths between fixed and active wings without damage to the fixed or active leaf lock occurring .

This object is achieved on the basis of an espagnolette lock of the type in question according to the invention in that the trigger has a larger, resilient overstroke in relation to the driver which acts on it.

This ensures that the trigger, regardless of the gap between the passive leaf and active leaf, can always extend just as far from the front side of the passive leaf lock as is necessary for the proper pushing back of the active leaf lock part that can be actuated by it, and thus by the resilient overstroke the trigger, as it were, its automatic adaptation to door wing gaps of different widths is achieved.

This resilient overstroke for the trigger can basically be achieved in various ways. For this purpose, the trigger can be resiliently supported with respect to the associated driver. But it is also possible to have the trigger resiliently supported on the one hand on the driver and on the other hand only on the lock case. For the latter case, the trigger can be designed as an L-shaped angle lever which is freely displaceably mounted at the free end of its short leg in a transverse slot of the lock case and resiliently supported in the vicinity thereof on the faceplate side of the lock case is, whereas it can rest with the side of its long leg facing away from its support spring against a driving lever that is pivotably mounted on a fixed axis of the lock case and drives the connecting rod with the lock nut for driving purposes, the free end of the long angle lever leg protruding freely beyond the contact point on the driving lever.

For the most part, however, it is recommended that the trigger be resiliently mounted directly on the driver acting on it, both of which can be designed as swivel levers.

The panic espagnolette lock shown in Fig. 1 is intended for installation in the passive leaf of a double-leaf door. It is of conventional design insofar as it has a lock case 9 with front-side outlet slots 1 and 2 for the upper and lower triggers 3 and 4 to be described further below, with a lock nut 5 rotatably mounted therein, which can be actuated by an inside handle the rotation of which the upper and lower drive rods 6 and 7 can be brought into their open positions from their engagement positions at the top and bottom of the door frame. The upper drive rod 6 is surrounded in a conventional manner by a helical compression spring 8, the the drive rod 6 tries to push into its extended locking position. So that this only takes place when the passive leaf is actually closed, a switch lock is provided in a known but not shown manner at the upper end of the connecting rod 6, which blocks the upper connecting rod 6 in the retracted position when the passive leaf is open, but via a when closing the passive leaf on the door frame striking release lever releases the drive rod 6 for its extension movement into the locking position. The lower drive rod 7 is drivingly connected to the upper drive rod 6 in such a way that it carries out an upward and outward movement in the opposite direction. In the present case, for this drive connection, the traction link 10, which is suspended from a projection 5 'of the lock nut, engages with the lower, angled end 10' of the driver lever 11, which in turn, via its angled projection 11 ', also pivots about the fixed bolt 12 in the lock case Coupling lever 13 cooperates, which engages with its free end 13 'under the upper angled end 7' of the lower drive rod 7. The lock nut 5 is supported by the compression spring 14 and connected to the upper drive rod 6 by means of the coupling lever 16 which can be pivoted about the fixed bolt 15 and which, in turn, is connected in an articulated manner to the connecting link 17 engaging the bolt 6 'of the upper drive rod.

The upper trigger 3 and the lower trigger 4 have a larger, spring-loaded overstroke than their associated drivers. For this purpose, the upper trigger 3 is designed as a one-armed trigger lever which is pivotably mounted about the fixed axis 18 in the lock case 9 and which is supported on the driver pin 20 of the connecting link 17 present between the drive rod 6 and the coupling lever 16 via the leg spring 19 likewise mounted on the fixed axis 18. The release lever has a fork-shaped lever arm 3 'with which it partially engages around the driving pin 20 of the connecting link 17. As a result, the release lever 3 can perform a limited pivoting adjustment movement with respect to the driving pin 20 of the connecting link 17. The leg spring 19 is supported with its one leg on the inside of the angled stop edge 3 ″ of the release lever 3 and with her other angled leg on the driving pin 20.

The lower trigger 4 is also designed as a one-armed trigger lever, which is pivotably mounted on the long arm 11 ″ of the driving lever 11 via the bolt 21, namely within the slot 4 ′ and the projection 11 ″ ″ of the driving lever engaging therein 11 limited swivel motion play. On the hinge pin 21, the leg spring 22 is also arranged, which is supported with its lower leg on the fixed pin 12 and with its upper leg on the projection 4 ″ of the release lever 4.

In the extended locking position of the upper and lower drive rods 6, 7 shown in FIG. 1, the one-armed trigger levers 3, 4 assume the retracted position shown in the lock case 9. However, if the drive rods 6, 7 are retracted into their unlocked position, for example by actuating the lock nut 5, the driver levers 17 and 11 engaging the release levers 3 and 4 assume the positions shown in FIGS. 3 to 6, in which they try to press the spring-loaded release levers 3 and 4 into their release position in order to push the latch bolt 24 and the slide bolt 25 present in the active leaf lock 23, which is only indicated schematically, back into its proper retracted position. If, as in the case of FIGS. 3 and 5, the gap B between the forend surfaces 9 'and 23' of the two locks is comparatively large, the release levers 3, 4 can extend correspondingly by the lock parts 24, 25 in push back their proper retracted position so that the double-leaf door can be opened properly from the passive leaf and the lock parts in question are not damaged.

If, on the other hand, as in the cases of FIGS. 4 and 6, the gap B 'present between the two door leaves on the end face is only narrow, the triggers 3 and 4 can only be reduced to a correspondingly smaller extent by their cushioning relative to their drivers 20 and 11 swing out, the those acting on them Leg springs 19 and 22 are naturally more tensioned. However, since in this case the triggers 3, 4, on the one hand, like the active wing lock parts 24, 25, on the other hand, assume their proper position, no damage to lock components that protrude too far can occur.

29' in unmittelbarem gegenseitigem Kupplungseingriff stehen. The panic espagnolette lock shown in FIGS. 7 to 9 has, in a known manner, two driving levers 28 and 29 which can be pivoted about the fixed axes 26, 27 and which are in direct mutual clutch engagement via partial toothings 28 'and 29' provided on their circumferences. The associated release levers 33, 34 are likewise pivotably mounted on the fixed bolts 26, 27. Radial projecting fork-like driver areas 28 '' or 29 '' are provided on the driver levers 28, 29 for taking them along and limiting their pivoting adjustability, and between their fork cheeks 28 '' 'and 29' '' there are also the release levers 33, 34 compression spring 35 to be pressed in the overstroke position.

B' zwischen Stand- und Gehflügel unterschiedlich weite Ausfahrposition einnehmen können.7 shows the driver and release levers in the extended locked state of the drive rod 6 in the corresponding retracted position. If the slide plate 36, which is limitedly adjustable in the lock case 9, is also shifted into the lower position shown in FIGS. 8 and 9 by actuation of the follower 5, the driver levers 28, 29 and the release levers 33 mounted on them with a resilient overstroke are thereby 34 pivoted into the extended position shown in FIGS. 8 and 9, the release levers 33, 34 in turn being able to assume one of the different gap widths B and B 'between the fixed and active wings of differently wide extended positions.

In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 10 and 11, the rod bolt 37 is firmly connected to the lower drive rod 7 and engages around the lock nut 5 with its recess 38. The rod bolt 37 in the lock case 9 can be adjusted via the driver bolt 5 '' which engages in the elongated hole 37 'of the rod bolt 37, so that the lower drive rod 7 and in the opposite direction can also be adjusted via the latter The upper drive rod can also be adjusted for this purpose. Furthermore, there are driver slides 39, 40 which are adjustable transversely to the drive rod 7 or to the rod bolt 37. They are provided with guide slots 41 into which guide pins 42 present on the bar bolt 37 engage, all such that in the lower position of the bar bolt 37 corresponding to the locking position of the lock shown in FIG. 11, the driver slides 39, 40 move into their retracted position, however raised bar bolt 37 assume their extended position according to FIG. The driver slides are provided with fork-like bearing projections 39 'or 40', on each of which a trigger slide 43 or 44 which surrounds the fork cheeks 39 '' or 40 '' is arranged displaceably. The trigger slides have head bolts 43 'and 44', on each of which a compression spring 45 is present, which is located on the one hand on the fork base 40 '''of the driver slider 40 penetrated by the head bolt 44' and on the other hand on the rear end face 44 '' of the trigger slider 44 supports. It goes without saying that the trigger slide 43, as shown in FIG. 11 above, is of a corresponding nature and resilient support with respect to the associated driver slide 39. Here, too, the trigger slides in the retracted open position of the drive rods 6, 7, according to FIG. 10, can move out of the passive leaf lock relatively far and, due to their resilient support relative to the associated drivers 39 and 40, easily expand the gap widths between the fixed leaf and active leaf to adjust.

The panic drive rod lock shown in FIGS. 12 to 14 is in turn provided with an upper drive rod 6 and a lower drive rod 7, which, via the lock nut 5 and the driving lever 47 which can be pivoted about the fixed bolt 46, on the one hand and via the traction link 10 on the other hand, into their open position are to be obtained. Unlike in the case of the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to 6, here the upper trigger 53 is designed as an L-shaped angle lever, which delimits at the free end of its short leg 53 'via a guide projection 53''in a transverse slot 55 of the lock case 9' is freely movable. Furthermore, the L-shaped angle lever 53 is supported by the near its short Leg 53 'arranged helical compression spring 56 on the faceplate 9''of the lock case 9'''. With its side of its long leg 53 '''facing away from the spring 56, it rests against the curved edge 47' of the driving lever 47, in such a way that the free end 53 IV of the angle lever still projects freely beyond this contact point. As a result, the L-shaped release lever 53 can perform a corresponding rolling movement on the contact edge 47 'of the driving lever 47 during the retracting movement of the drive rods, with its free end 53 IV depending on the width B or B' of the gap between the fixed leaf and door leaf extends more or less far from the passive wing lock on the front side, as illustrated in FIGS. 13 and 14.

In this case, the lower release lever 54 is mounted together with the associated driving lever 57 on the hinge pin 58 which is fixed in the lock case 9 '' '. This also applies to the leg spring 59 lying between the release lever 54 and the driver lever 57, which is supported with its one leg 59 'on the angled projection 57' of the driver lever and with its other leg 59 '' on the angled projection 54 'of the release lever . In this case, too, the driver lever 57 is underpinned by the lower angled end 10 'of the tension link 10 suspended on the projection 5' of the lock nut. However, unlike in FIG. 1, the driver lever 57 engages with its free end 57 ″ directly below the upper angled end 7 ′ of the lower drive rod. As shown in FIGS. 13 and 14, the lower release lever 54 can also perform a spring-loaded overtravel position, which is respectively adapted to the gap width B or B ', relative to the associated driver lever 57, so that in this case too, damage-free opening of the door via its passive leaf is ensured is.

Various modifications are possible within the scope of the present invention. So it goes without saying that for active leaf locks, which are only provided with a latch bolt or a slide bolt, the passive leaf drive rod lock also only a trigger 3 or 4 arranged at a corresponding height with its associated driver 17 or 11 enlarged, cushioned overtravel to be provided needs.

For this purpose, each of the illustrated implementation options can be used with regard to the special design and cushioning of the trigger.
