Description

The invention relates to a cabin with seated places for a gondola, the cabins of which are disengaged from the cable in the stations and which run on a half-loop transfer path while parading on embarkation and / or disembarkation platforms, which extend along the external contour of the half-loop, said cabin comprising a passenger compartment, which has a front face, a rear face, a first lateral face oriented in service on the side of the internal contour of the curve of said half loop and a second lateral face oriented in service on the side of the external contour of said half-loop, two benches or rows of seats respectively attached to said front and rear faces to allow passengers to sit facing each other and an opening access provided on said second side face for the entry and exit of passengers.

A cabin of the kind mentioned generally has a rectangular cross section in horizontal section, the width of which allows two passengers to be seated face to face comfortably while occupying almost all the available space. The two passengers, who enter the cabin first, tend to sit next to the door and thus prevent or impede the passage and access of other passengers to the seats at the back of the cabin. This tendency is accentuated when the cabins are large and can receive six or more passengers and when the gondola has one or more intermediate stations where a passenger, going down to an intermediate station, hesitates to settle at the bottom of the cabin and risks d 'be blocked by other passengers closer to the door. It is certainly possible to increase the width of the cabin, but to the detriment of the total congestion thereof and the throughput of the installation, crossing the curve of the track necessitating increased spacing of the cabins in the stations.

The present invention aims to allow the realization of a cabin with seated places, whose access to the back seats is improved, without affecting the speed of the gondola.

The cabin according to the invention is characterized in that it is asymmetrical with respect to the median vertical plane parallel to the direction of advancement in service of the cabin, with a width of said first lateral face less than that of the second lateral face, that the spacing of the two seats adjacent to the first side face corresponds to the place of two passengers seated face to face at a short distance and that the spacing of the two seats adjacent to the second side face is sufficient to leave free, between the two seated passengers, a passage to the access opening.

US-A-3 094 079 décrit une cabine dissymétrique et EP-A-0 497 713 une cabine à quatre faces avec banquette qui laisse libre un passage vers l'ouverture d'accès.US-A-3,094,079 describes an asymmetrical cabin and EP-A-0 497 713 a four-sided cabin with bench seat which gives free passage to the access opening.

On the inside of the curve, the width of the cabin, that is to say that of the first side face, is not increased and the spacing of the cabins on the station transfer track remains the same as that of the cabins conventional rectangular. The curve is crossed without increasing the speed and it is possible to provide platforms in this curve in order to reduce the length of the station. On the door side, the width of the cabin is much larger, which facilitates entry and more particularly the passage between two passengers seated near the door. Passenger comfort is not reduced and it is even improved for those in the enlarged part near the door.

The cabin advantageously has symmetry with respect to the median vertical plane perpendicular to the direction of advancement of the cabin and a door with two leaves with ski carriers arranged outside. The two benches or rows of seats, hereinafter called benches, converge towards the first narrow side face of the cabin and they are, like the front and rear sides of the cabin, curved, seen in plan, so that the passengers seated next to the side faces are slightly oblique. The cabin structure is in a box to avoid any internal pillar that could hinder passage, and it has six or more than six places.

The inventive idea is used to the maximum when the shape of the cabin is such that in the curve of the transfer path the successive cabins are almost in contact at their first lateral face and their middle part.

The width of the cabin remains practically constant between the middle part and the second side face fitted with the door.

  • La figure 1 est une vue schématique en plan et en coupe d'une cabine selon l'invention pour huit passagers assis;
  • La figure 2 est une vue analogue à celle de la figure 1, montrant la cabine vide;
Other advantages and characteristics will emerge more clearly from the description which follows of an embodiment of the invention given by way of nonlimiting example and represented in the appended drawings, in which:
  • Figure 1 is a schematic plan view in section of a cabin according to the invention for eight seated passengers;
  • Figure 2 is a view similar to that of Figure 1, showing the empty cabin;
  • Figure 3 is a schematic plan view of two cabins in the curve of the half-loop track.

In the figures, a cabin 10 of a gondola has a suspension line for attachment to a carriage 11 capable of being coupled to an overhead cable in line and of rolling on a rail of a semi-loop track 12 in the stations after having the cable cabins are thus transferred from the downward track to the upward track of the cable by passing in front of passenger embarkation and / or disembarkation docks which can extend in particular along the curved part of the half - loop 12. The cabs travel at low speed, being almost side by side.

In the example illustrated by the figures cabin 10 can receive eight passengers 13 all seated, but it is clear that it can be designed for six passengers or significantly more than six passengers. The cabin has two large faces, in particular front 14 and rear 15 and two small lateral faces, a first 16 and a second 17. Two bench seats 18,19, each of four seats, are respectively leaning against the walls forming the front faces 14 and rear 15. The second lateral face 17, oriented on the outside of the curve of the half-loop track 12, has an access opening equipped with a door with two leaves 20, each of which carries a ski carrier 21 disposed at outside the cabin 10. Entry into the cabin is facilitated by the absence of pillars by virtue of a box structure and / or incorporation of uprights 22 in the walls. Such a cabin is well known and there is no need to describe it in more detail.

In the figures it can be seen that the car 10 has a plane of symmetry XX, perpendicular to the direction of advancement of the car indicated by an arrow in FIG. 1 and that it is on the other hand asymmetrical with respect to the median plane YY parallel to this direction. This asymmetry results from a width of the second lateral face 17 greater than that of the first lateral face 16 and from an adapted shape of the front faces 14 and rear 15. Between the second lateral face 17 and the median plane YY, the width of the cabin 10 is practically constant and is sufficient to allow a passage 23 between two passengers 13 seated face to face leading to the door 20. Between the median plane YY and the first lateral face 16, the front faces 14 and rear 15 thus converge moreover than the 18,19 benches which are leaning against it. The width of the first lateral face 16 is barely sufficient for two passengers 13, seated in the seats adjacent to this face to be seated comfortably without leaving a significant space between them. These passengers are moreover slightly oblique, due to the oblique arrangement of the seats 18,19 in this part, accentuated by a convex 24 of the front 14 and rear 15 faces near the first lateral face 16, moreover included. in 25 on the side of the second side lateral 17 so that the passengers 13 adjacent to the door are also oblique to enlarge the passage 23 between them.

De même un passager peut atteindre les places de fond lorsque d'autres passagers sont déjà assis du côté de la porte 20.Referring to FIG. 1, it can be seen that a passenger 13, seated at the bottom of the cabin, can pass between the other seated passengers to reach door 20 and for example descend to an intermediate station. Likewise, a passenger can reach the bottom seats when other passengers are already seated on the side of door 20.

The corresponding spacing on the straight sections of the track is of course a function of the radius of curvature of the curve and the size of the cabin 10. In the example illustrated the convergence of the front 14 and rear faces 15 is maximum so that the two cabins almost touch each other by their corners 26 and by their middle parts 27 in the curves, which has the additional advantage of a quasi-contact of the second side faces 17 on the straight sections by reducing the risk of accident on the quays. The cabin is thus widened to the maximum on the side of the door 20, but such a widening is not always justified and the invention applies of course to cabins whose convergence of the faces is less. It should be noted that all the curves of the circuit must be in the same direction, which is generally the case, and that the cabin can be used on circuits having right curves or left curves, if care is taken to orient the cabin correctly during assembly.
