Description
The invention relates to a flap grinding wheel with a circular support plate, which is provided with a coaxial clamping opening for connection to the motor shaft and on the front of which scales-like overlapping grinding flaps are fastened with adhesive.
This flap grinding wheel known from DE-U-88 16 445 is attached directly to the motor shaft by means of a screw. After the flap disc has been used up, it is detached from the machine and replaced with a new disc. Clamping and unclamping the disc is laborious and time-consuming and results in machine downtimes. The material consumption is considerable since the entire grinding wheel is discarded when worn.
The invention has for its object to provide a lamellar grinding wheel, which can be changed faster and more easily than the known wheels after consumption, so that the interruption times are reduced. In addition, the cost of materials for the grinding wheel should also be reduced. Further advantages result from the description below.
This object is achieved in the above-mentioned lamellar grinding wheel in that the support plate consists of a plate ring carrying the grinding lamellae and a clamping ring which can be screwed into its opening from the back of the plate ring and has the clamping opening. In the lamellar grinding wheel according to the invention with a two-part support plate, the clamping ring remains clamped on when changing the wheel Motor shaft. Only the plate ring with the used grinding plates is released from the clamping ring and replaced with a plate ring with new grinding plates. This exchange of the plate ring requires less time and work than unclamping and clamping the entire disc, since the plate ring with the worn grinding lamellae can be detached from or attached to the clamping ring remaining on the shaft with a single screwing operation. Since the plate ring to be replaced, which carries the grinding flaps, requires less material than the conventional disc with a one-piece support plate, this also results in a cost saving.
The opening is expediently delimited by a cylindrical or conical inside of the plate ring, and the clamping ring accordingly has a cylindrical or conical outside. Corresponding threads are preferably formed on the inside of the plate ring and on the outside of the clamping ring. The clamping ring and the plate ring are preferably provided with a multi-start, e.g. three-start thread. The pitch of the threads is preferably in the range from 8 to 20 mm, in particular in the range from 10 to 14 mm. Due to the relatively large pitch of the threads, it is possible to detach the plate ring from the clamping ring relatively easily after the grinding lamella has worn out.
According to the preferred embodiment of the invention, the pitch of the threads of the cup ring and the pitch of the scaled lamellae are opposite. In this arrangement, if the disk rotates on the workpiece in such a way that the lamellae are "streaked", the thread between the ring and the clamping ring is tightened at the same time, so that the disk is securely attached becomes.
A stop collar limiting the mutual screwing movement of the two rings is expediently formed on the clamping ring and / or the plate ring. When using the lamellar grinding wheel, the torque then effective on the plate ring causes the two rings to be held in the stop position.
In the disc according to the invention with a two-part support plate, the clamping ring and the plate ring can consist of the same or different material. Preferably the clamping ring is made of metal, e.g. Light metal, and the plate ring made of plastic. This takes account of the fact that the plate ring only needs to have a service life corresponding to the wear time of the grinding flaps, while the clamping ring must have a longer service life.
The clamping flange of the clamping ring is expediently located on the back of this ring, i.e. the side facing away from the grinding flap layer. This simplifies the clamping of the clamping ring and resets the clamping from the grinding plane.

- Figure 1 shows the axial section of the cup ring of a first embodiment of the lamellar grinding wheel according to the invention;
- FIG. 2 shows the side view of the clamping ring belonging to the plate ring according to FIG. 1;
- 3 shows the axial section of the clamping ring according to FIG. 2; and
- 4 shows the top view of a quadrant of the two-part disk according to FIGS. 1 to 3.
According to the section shown in FIG. 1, a layer of
The
From the plan view shown in Figure 4 is the scale-like superposition of the
