Fig. 3 zeigt nun eine auswechselbare Sohle 8 aus einem ebenfalls elastischen Material, vorteilhafterweise Gummi, die mit einem elastischen Randteil 7 aus demselben Material versehen ist, das fest mit der elastischen Sohle 8 verbunden ist und sich unter einem Winkel von der Sohle dergestalt erstreckt, daß das Randteil 7 bei Zusammenfügen mit dem in Fig. 1 dargestellten Schaft einen Großteil des Oberteils 2 umschließt und bei entsprechender Abmessung im Klemmsitz mit ihm verbunden ist. Bei dem in Fig. 2 dargestellten Ausführungsbeispiel bedeckt die auswechselbare Sohle 8 nur den vorderen Abschnitt des Unterteils 3, d.h. den Abschnitt der größten Belastung beim Kletteraufstieg. Mit 9 ist daher ein Ausschnitt in der zusätzlichen auswechselbaren Sohle bezeichnet; streift man nun die zusätzliche auswechselbare Sohle 8 mit ihrem Randteil 7 über den in Fig. 1 dargestellten Schaft, so daß die auswechselbare Sohle 8 auf dem Unterteil 3 fest anliegt und das Randteil 7 einen Großteil des Oberteils 2 fest umschließt und im Klemmsitz an diesem anliegt, wobei die obere Kante 6 des Randteils 7 fast bis an die Einstiegsöffnung 4 heranragt, so erhält man den in Fig. 3 dargestellten Kletterschuh, bei dem der Zehenabschnitt aufgeschnitten ist. Wesentlich ist dabei, daß das Material der Sohle und auch des Randteils gewisse mechanische Eigenschaften aufweist, da diese die Sicherheit des Kletterers erheblich verbessern. Der Schaft besteht dabei aus einem Material, das einen hohen Reibungskoeffizienten bezüglich des Materials der Sohle samt Randteil aufweist, wie z.B. Wildleder mit aufgerauhter Oberfläche oder auch Kunststoff mit rauher Oberfläche, so daß eine Relativverschiebung zwischen Schaft und Sohle bzw. Randteil ausgeschlossen ist, sofern sich der Kletterschuh im Einsatz befindet. Als besonders geeignet hat sich als Material für die Sohle und das dazu gehörige Randteil ein Butylkautschuk herausgestellt mit den folgenden Eigenschaften:
Reißfestigkeit (= Quotient aus der im Augenblick des Reißens gemessenen Kraft und dem Anfangsquerschnitt der Probe): 11,5 N/mm²,
Reißdehnung (= Quotient aus der im Augenblick des Reißens gemessenen Änderung der Meßlänge und der ursprünglichen Meßlänge der Probe): 830 %,
Härte 58° Shore A
Elastizität (= Quotient aus der Rückprallhöhe eines Pendels und dessen Fallhöhe): 9 %,
Weiterreißwiderstand (= Quotient aus der Kraft, die eine definiert eingeschnittene Probe dem Weiterreißen entgegensetzt, wobei die Kraft senkrecht zur Schnittrichtung aufgebracht wird): 21 N/mm,
