Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a magnetic yoke for an induction crucible furnace according to the preamble of
D ME/D 118289 D bekannt. Such a magnetic yoke for an induction crucible furnace is known from ABB publication No. D ME / D 118289 D. The induction crucible furnace is suitable for the inductive melting of cast iron, steel, light metal, heavy metal and alloys, the operation being carried out when trained as a medium-frequency induction crucible furnace, for example at frequencies from 125 to 1000 Hz. A converter is used to set an alternating voltage of a predetermined frequency.
The active part of the induction crucible furnace is the furnace coil, the interior of which is lined with a ceramic crucible. The alternating current flowing through the furnace coil generates an alternating magnetic field, which is inside the furnace crucible through the metal insert (melt) and outside the coil is guided through the iron sheet packets of the magnetic inferences. The alternating magnetic field induces eddy currents in the metallic feedstock, ie electrical energy that is converted into heat. Due to the transformer principle, the furnace draws power from the supply network, so that the feed material is melted with constant supply of energy. The electromagnetic forces acting on the melt lead to an intensive bath movement, which ensures rapid heat and material balance.
The magnetic inferences are arranged on the outside of the coil in the form of individual packets distributed over the circumference of the coil with gaps parallel to the furnace axis. Each individual package consists of a large number of thin, electrically insulated transformer sheets with high specific electrical resistance and high permeability. The iron sheet packets of the magnetic inferences have the purpose of carrying the alternating magnetic flux, as already mentioned above. The magnetic flux is to be offered a path of low magnetic resistance which at the same time causes only slight eddy current losses. By using the magnetic inferences, the required reactive power is reduced as a result of the reduction in the magnetic resistance in the inference region of the flux. In addition, the flow is also prevented from entering the mostly ferromagnetic, load-bearing outer components of the furnace (furnace body with cladding), thus preventing their heating up due to eddy currents.
It has been found that, in addition to the eddy current losses, that caused by the mainly parallel to the sheets alternating magnetic field are caused, at certain locations of the laminated cores additional, sometimes considerable eddy current losses occur locally. In the space between the furnace coil and the melt and also in the area of the penetration depth of the magnetic alternating field into the melt, the magnetic resistance is constant along the coil circumference, i.e. in the azimuthal direction, so that the flux densities along the coil circumference are also constant and the field lines run continuously parallel to Furnace axis.
In the inference space of the field on the outside of the furnace coil, on the other hand, areas with low magnetic resistance alternate with areas of high magnetic resistance (laminated cores and spaces) in the arrangement of the magnetic inferences on the coil circumference described above. Areas of high magnetic conductance with such very low conductance are accordingly connected in parallel for the flow. In the outer area of the coil, the river thus largely makes its way through the areas of high conductance, and is therefore almost exclusively guided in the laminated cores.
At the upper and lower coil or laminated core ends, however, it spreads not only radially in the direction of the crucible center (normal field), but also in the circumferential direction of the coil, that is to say largely horizontally (transverse field), in order to change to uniform flux density in the coil interior. Part of the flow in the end region of the laminated cores thus emerges from the packages transversely to the layering level of the laminations. As a result, considerable additional eddy current losses are generated in the end region of the laminated cores, which lead to local overheating of the laminated cores and the cover plates can lead. With correspondingly large outputs, separate, complex additional cooling is required at these points.
The invention has for its object to provide a magnetic yoke for an induction crucible furnace of the type mentioned, in which a selective induction of high specific power is prevented.
This object is achieved in connection with the features of the preamble according to the invention by the features specified in the characterizing part of
The advantages which can be achieved with the invention consist in particular in that the temperature distribution within the magnetic yoke is optimized, i.e. it is particularly prevented that locally high temperatures arise in the laminated core or in the support body (overheating). The formation of stray fields is largely reduced and uniform utilization of the laminated core cross-section is ensured with regard to the losses and temperatures which arise, the losses being reduced overall. Since the magnetic yoke no longer has to be designed with special consideration of the areas with selectively high induced specific power (while other areas hardly serve to guide the magnetic flux and therefore remain cold) and because of the loss reduction, the required cross section of the laminated core becomes smaller overall, which advantageously results in material, weight and cost savings.
The invention is explained below with reference to the embodiments shown in the drawing.

In Figure 1, an induction crucible furnace is shown in a lateral section. The
Das Blechpaket 9 besteht aus einer Vielzahl einzelner, elektrisch gegeneinander isolierter Einzelbleche.FIG. 3 shows a first basic configuration of a magnetic yoke in section. It can be seen that the active laminated
The support body 8 has a plurality of individual
Depending on the heat transfer area required, one, two, three or more longitudinal channels can be used as coolant channels. In this way it is ensured that the temperature of the laminated cores is kept within permissible limits. As a coolant e.g. Serve water. The use of separate cooling devices, which are to be brought into direct thermal contact with the laminated cores, is not necessary.
The

As can be seen in FIG. 3, the
Innerhalb des Tragkörpers 18 befinden sich wiederum mehrere Längskanäle 20, insbesondere auch interne Kühlkanäle 21.FIG. 4 shows a second basic configuration of a magnetic yoke in section. There is also a
The essential difference between the variant according to FIG. 4 and the variant according to FIG. 3 is that the force F acting on the
The shielding effect of the
