Definitions
- the present invention relates to an ornamental element of the ear such as an earring, clip, pendant or other comprising an ornamental part held integral with the ear lobe by means of a fixing device such that '' a spring clip or a clip.
- the ornamental elements of the ear can have a large number of shapes both with regard to the ornamental part but also at the level of the device for fixing the jewel to the ear. Despite these multiple combinations, it is noted that most users tend to always wear the same type of ornamental elements. The reason for this choice is not, contrary to what one might think, linked to a problem of taste but rather to a problem of anatomy. Indeed, we note that the shapes and dimensions of the ear lobes are very varied. However, as most of the jewelry is made in a standard way, it quickly ends up that a whole group of the population can never wear this type of jewelry.
- the object of the invention is therefore to propose an ornamental element and more particularly an earring which, thanks to its ability to adapt to the morphology of each earlobe, can be worn by n ' anyone.
- Another object of the invention is to provide an ornamental element of the ear more particularly intended for the hearing impaired allowing the latter to completely hide their hearing aids, including the wire connecting the earpiece to the receiver, whatever the morphology of the lobe of their ears.
- the invention relates to an element of ornamentation of the ear such as an earring, clip, pendant or other comprising an ornamental part held integral with the ear lobe by means of a device for fixing such as a spring clip, characterized in that the fixing device is movable relative to the ornamental part and can occupy several positions so that the ornamental part more or less masks the ear lobe and possibly the entrance to the ear canal.
- the ornamental part alone or in combination with an intermediate piece which serves as a support for the fixing device, provides a cavity; said cavity forming a housing intended to receive the receiving element of a hearing aid mounted integral with the ornamental part or the intermediate piece.
- a receiver is associated with this receiver, which can be placed inside or outside the ear canal.
- the ornamental element of the ear consists of an ornamental part 1, shown here in the form of a hollow loop, and of a fixing device 10 which makes it possible to position and maintain the ornamental part 1 at the level of the ear lobe.
- This fixing device 10 is, in its most conventional configuration, consisting of a clip connected by parallel rods 9 to a clip stopper 4 which receives the latter in the closed position.
- the clip 10 passes from the open position to the closed position and vice versa by virtue of its attachment to a hinge pin pivotally mounted between two branches of a guide bearing mounted integral with said rods.
- the clip is equipped with a return means such as a spring which returns the latter to the closed position.
- any other closing device may be suitable.
- the ornamental part 1 is preferably concave so as to provide a cavity inside which may be arranged for example a hearing aid.
- This housing or cavity can be obtained either only thanks to the particular shape of the ornamental part 1, or thanks to an intermediate part 2 which cooperates with the ornamental part 1 and constitutes at least one of the walls of the cavity formed as shown in the figure. 1.
- the fixing of the intermediate piece 2 on the ornamental part 1 is carried out for example by screwing thanks to the holes 11a, 11b, 12a, 12b provided for this purpose. Obviously, the intermediate part 2 can be omitted and the fixing device 10 is in this case mounted movable directly on the ornamental part 1.
- this intermediate piece 2 can be in a form conforming to that of FIG. 1.
- this intermediate piece 2 is a plate which serves as a support for the fixing device 10.
- This piece 2 comprises a vertical slot 6 parallel to the vertical axis of the ear lobe inside which penetrates a projecting portion 7 of the fixing device 10 as shown in the fi gure 3.
- This projecting portion comprises a locking means such as a thread which cooperates with a nut so as to immobilize the fixing device inside said slot in any position.
- any other adjustable immobilization means of the fixing device on the intermediate piece 2 can be envisaged.
- this ornamental element is intended to receive hearing aids, it is advisable to provide some arrangements at the same time at the level of the ornamental part 1 and of the intermediate part 2.
- the ornamental part will preferably comprise a drilling 13 to allow the passage of sound vibrations. It will therefore be preferable to fix the receiving or micro element of this hearing aid at this level so as to have a good perception of external noise.
- this prosthesis generally comprises a battery. It will therefore be important to provide either in the intermediate part 2 or in the ornamental part 1, a bore 5 which will allow access to the latter.
- the hearing aids used are adapted to the user, in particular to the morphology of his ear.
- the hearing aids in which the receiver and the transmitter are arranged outside the ear canal are arranged outside the ear canal.
- the most conventional configuration corresponds to a hearing aid in which the receiver is housed in the cavity provided by the ornamental part 1 in combination or not with the intermediate part 2 and is connected by means of a wire to the transmitter or earpiece placed inside the ear canal. This configuration is shown by way of example in FIG. 4.
- the earpiece 19 and the wire 16 are enclosed inside a sheath 17 formed in one piece made for example by molding in thermosetting resin from an impression of the auditory canal, said sheath 17 having at one end a bulge inside which is formed a cavity containing the earpiece 19, and at the other end a fixing means such as a screw 18 allowing its attachment to the intermediate piece 2 which serves to support the fixing device 10 (not shown in this figure).
- an anti-wax filter 20 is incorporated in a wall of the cavity integrating the earpiece.
- This type of prosthesis has several advantages. Indeed, the headphone / sheath assembly constitutes a balancing counterweight of the ornamental part 1. As a result, the retention of the ornamental element on the ear is clearly improved. In addition, each prosthesis is individualized by taking an impression. We thus obtain a perfect adaptation of the sheath to the external auditory canal.
- a wireless device of the magnetic induction type can be used as the transmitter-receiver device.
- the device comprises a receiver associated with a coil 21 in the form of a magnetic loop produced from windings of wires, arranged at the periphery of the intermediate piece 2 which serves as a support for the fixing device or on the rear face of the ornamental part, this loop electromagnetically inducing the signals at the output of the receiver and a transmitter comprising an electromagnetically induced element of the type capturing the vibrations.
- the electromagnetically induced element of the transmitter is a metallic element capable of magnetizing such as a soft iron. This element can be placed in the ear canal and associated with a silicone lens.
- This element can also be incorporated into a tooth.
- This embodiment has several advantages. It is first of all, due to the embodiment, extremely discreet. In addition, the reproduction of sounds can be carried out in stereophony. Finally, due to the mobility of the fixing device, it is easy to perfectly position the transmitter and the receiver so as to limit the physical barriers which would hamper the transmission of vibrations.
- the transmitter-receiver device comprises a microphone or receiver 15 disposed in the cavity formed by the ornamental part 1 alone, or in combination with the intermediate part 2, this microphone being associated with a vibrator 14 held in a bore in the intermediate piece 2 in pressure contact against the ear lobe 22, said vibrator 14 making it possible to vibrate the cartilage of the ear which conducts the vibrations in the ear canal external.
- cartilage transmission causes loss of bass.
- the major advantage of this type of prosthesis is that it does not enter the ear. This is particularly important in the case of the hearing impaired whose ears are profuse.
