Die Horizontal- und Vertikal- Walzensätze dieser Universal-Walzgerüste sind mit Einbaustücken in Fensterausnehmungen der Ständerholme angeordnet, wobei sich die Einbaustücke der Horizontalwalzen paarweise gegen obere und untere Querträger abstützen, die über Druckmuttern von in diese eingreifenden, axial unverschiebbaren, drehbar gelagerten, beiderseits der Walzlinie einander gegenüberstehenden Paaren von Anstellspindeln gehalten werden. Damit zum Walzenwechsel die Querjoche nicht mehr von den übrigen Walzgerüstteilen abgehoben zu werden brauchen, ist bei einer bekannten Universalgerüst- Bauweise das obere Querjoch zweigeteilt, so daß es sich aus- und nach dem Walzenwechsel wieder zurückschwenken und mit dem restlichen Gerüstteil klemmverriegeln läßt. In der ausgeschwenkten Position sind die die Walzen aufnehmenden Einbaustücke frei zugänglich und lassen sich über die Fensterausnehmungen aus dem Gerüst entfernen. Um das Ver- bzw. Ausschwenken zu erreichen, sind bei dieser Bauweise eines Universal- Walzgerüstes neben den einen Walzenwechsel sinnvoll überhaupt erst ermöglichenden Einbaustücken somit außerdem zusätzliche Schwenkmechanismen erforderlich, z.B. in Form von zusätzlichen hydraulischen Schwenkzylindern.With such universal rolling stands operating in continuous or reversing operation, a wide variety of profiles can be rolled, for example double T and U beams or rails. Der Erfindung liegt die grundsätzliche Überlegung zugrunde, daß sich durch das bei Walzgerüsten anderer Art an sich bekannte Verschieben des bedienungsseitigen Walzenständers ein völlig einbaustückloses Universal- Walzgerüst verwirklichen läßt. Denn nach dem Verschieben des bedienungsseitigen Walzenständers liegen nicht nur die Horizontal-, sondern weiterhin auch die Vertikalwalzen frei und sind vom Inneren des auseinandergezogenen Walzgerüstes her zugänglich. Mittels z.B. des in dem Walzwerk vorhandenen Hallenkranes und einer geeigneten Greifvorrichtung lassen sich sodann die Walzringe 14 und/oder die Kassetten 29 mit den Vertikalwalzen 9 aus ihrer Einbaulage auf den Tragwellen 12 bzw. im Kassettenträgerteil 24 der Führungsrahmen 23 entfernen und durch neubestückte Kassetten bzw. neue Walzringe ersetzen.
