Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a rotary container carrier for a container treatment machine, with a plurality of container receptacles that handle containers of different cross-sections, which, when rotating the container carrier, pass through at least two work stations arranged along the orbit of the container carrier at a defined angular distance from one another by means of two fixed tooth curves which are offset in the circumferential direction and by coupled with the container receptacles and intermeshing with the toothed curves against the direction of rotation of the container carrier in their own rotation.
A container carrier of the type mentioned at the outset is used in machines on which a wide range of processing operations are carried out with a wide variety of motion sequences, from relative standstill to short oscillating swings to repeated, continuous rotation of the container receptacles, particularly in the high-performance all-round labeling of containers, for example cans or reusable PET bottles from the beverage industry.
The invention has for its object to further improve the flexibility or the adaptation of such a device with regard to the containers to be handled in different sizes.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the toothed curves have a curve which comprises a single turning program which is designed for a minimum and maximum container cross section marked by end points of certain curve sections, the toothed curves in The circumferential direction (angle β) can be infinitely adjusted such that the same points of mutually corresponding curve sections are assigned to specific positions at the work stations.
In one embodiment, according to which the first work station is formed by a gluing device and the second work station is formed by a labeling station, and according to an additional development, the tooth curves are arranged on the top side and concentrically to a container carrier that freely hangs the container, it is necessary to use Allow all-round labeling to be affected by the initial gluing applied to the container exactly in a removal position at the labeling station with the all-round label to be removed. According to a particularly advantageous embodiment, this is achieved in that the points on the curve sections always correspond to certain angular positions of the roller stars relative to the workstations in coordination with the respective container cross section.
In order to ensure that containers of a certain cross-section with a glued peripheral zone can roll exactly on the starting area of the stationary label stack or the front edge area of the all-round labels, i.e. their absolute speed in the outer area of their peripheral path is zero, it is further proposed that in coordination the respective cross-section of the container, the points on the curve sections always correspond to certain peripheral speeds of the containers rotating with the container receptacles opposite to the container carrier, in such a way that in each case an outermost container peripheral section passing the work stations in a certain angular position of the roller stations stands still.
The arrangement is made according to a further development so that the tooth curves in each setting position (angle β) Roller stars between two workstations pass through at least one curve section for the entire speed spectrum lying between the minimum and maximum container cross section.
The first work station and the second work station are also arranged at such an angular distance (angle α) from one another that the roller stars with a container of any cross-section in a rotation angle range (rotation angle φ) of the container carrier corresponding to this self-rotation by 360 °.
In order to achieve higher self-rotation speeds of the container receptacles with the high-performance all-round labeling with the aid of the arrangement according to the invention, it is readily conceivable to provide a transmission gear between the roller stars and the container receptacles.
The advantage achieved by the invention is that, for all conceivable container sizes within a defined cross-sectional area, exactly every rotational angle position of the container carrier transporting the containers has a defined orientation or rotational angle position of the container receptacles carrying the containers or of the roller stars guiding them with respect to one at the respective position Aggregates or processing operations can be assigned. In this way, it is possible in particular to bring a glue point previously applied to the container into a contact position with a label removal point when labeling a container all around.
The invention is explained below with reference to the embodiment shown in the accompanying figures.

The labeling machine equipped with the
