Description

The invention relates to a device comprising a filler neck and a bag clamp arrangement for holding a bag to be filled, in particular a gusseted bag, to the filler neck, which has a housing part with a substantially rectangular cross section, which has two end faces and two expansion flaps, which are perpendicular to the end faces mentioned horizontal axes are pivotally held on the housing part, have right-angled baffles, with a first pair of clamps, each having clamping bodies, which can be pivoted in opposite directions on pivot levers about first horizontal axes and bear against the outer surfaces of the opened spreading flaps, around opposing first sack wall parts on the filler neck to hold, and with second pairs of clamps, each having pairs of clamping bodies, which can be pivoted relative to one another about second axes lying approximately parallel to the first axes, and on longer pivot levers, which the zuv hold the aforementioned axes in order to move axes perpendicular to the first and second axes in the opposite direction towards the end faces, the pairs of the clamping bodies of the second pairs of clamps having surface parts which lie in pairs in such a way that sack wall parts lying in front of the end faces are detected in the edge region and being held.

A device of this type is known from the 3200 Series Slidell Matic System from Slidell, Owatonna, USA. A system of this type is particularly suitable for the handling of Side gusseted bags, in which the bags are already pulled together with the side gussets held together and then taken over by the second pair of clamps, so that the side gussets in the area of the bag opening do not open during the subsequent filling. This eliminates the need to fold back the side gussets after filling, ie to re-arrange them to enable the bag to subsequently close, in particular to fold the bag edge over before final sewing or gluing.

However, the devices mentioned are also favorable for simple flat sacks in the same way, in particular with a so-called "pinch-top" closure, in which the upper edge of the sack is also folded over for closure. It is also necessary here that the position of the side pocket fold in the area of the bag opening is clearly retained, i.e. H. that the two sack walls are held on top of each other in the area of the side edges.

In the known device mentioned above, the sacks are held by the first pairs of clamps on the surfaces of the expansion flaps after being placed on the filler neck and are fixed by the second pairs of clamps at a distance from the end faces in the region of their side edges. Suction shafts are then inserted into the still open sack opening in front of the end faces of the filler neck, through which the air displaced during filling and in particular the dust whirled up with it are to be sucked off. For this purpose, the second pairs of terminals are approximated to the suction shafts. The resulting negative pressure promotes tight contact with the flat surfaces of the suction shafts and the expansion flaps.

From US-A-4 322 932 a filler neck with a clamp arrangement of the generic type is known, in which a bag is each pushed over the filler neck and the second pair of clamps, these second pairs of clamps then reaching from the inside into the side folds and keeping the side folds fixed during the spreading of the spreading flaps and the filling of the sack. When filling, essential parts of the bag wall are at a distance from the filler neck, so that a significant amount of dust from the filling material can be released during filling. The suction means provided in the aforementioned device are not available here.

From US-A-2 890 006 a filler neck of circular cross-section with a clamp arrangement is known, in which second pairs of clamps fix the side folds of the sack from the outside. The movement of this pair of clamps is exhausted in a pure closing movement for clamping the side folds. These second pairs of clamps do not interact with surface parts of the filler neck.

The invention has for its object to provide a device of the generic type in such a way that when filling, even without using suction means introduced into the bag opening outside the nozzle cross-section, a tight contact of the bag with the filling nozzle is ensured everywhere. The solution to this is that the end faces run down wedge-shaped and that the baffles of the expansion flaps are located within the end faces, that the clamping bodies of the second pair of clamps are individually mounted on individual short pivot levers and can be pivoted in opposite directions to one another, and that the pairs of the clamping bodies of the second pairs of clamps each have angled second surface parts to the surface parts mentioned, which are adapted to the end faces and the guide plates of the swung-out expansion flaps in order to hold the remaining free bag wall parts on the filler neck. According to the invention, this can result in an almost complete seal, whereby if necessary, necessary ventilation can take place via the inside of the filler neck. The second additional pivoting movement of the second clamping body can preferably be adjusted in its path length so that the bag wall assumes an almost wrinkle-free course along the surfaces of the filling nozzle and the baffles of the spreading flaps when the clamping bodies are pivoted against the end faces of the suction nozzle. However, it is also harmless if there is a certain free length in the course of the edge of the bag opening, since a slight unfolding at the edge of the bag opening is harmless, since the clamping body ensures that the bag is firmly pressed all around. Unfolding of the sack edges is prevented by grasping the sack in the area of the side edges. In a particularly favorable manner, recesses extending along the oblique boundary edges of the wedge-shaped end faces are provided on the second surfaces of the second clamping elements in order to be able to ensure uniform pressure on the end faces and guide plates of the swung-out expansion flaps. In an advantageous manner, the lever arms of the pairs of the second clamping bodies are kept swinging and automatically adjustable on their axes in the two longer lever arms, so that a uniform contact occurs when pressed against the surfaces of the filler neck. To avoid damage to the bag material, the clamping elements are usually made of rubber in the area of their contacting surfaces or covered with rubber. Further preferred configurations relate to the designs of the adjusting elements, which in the case of the first pairs of terminals are preferably made independently of one another, but in the case of the clamping elements of the second pairs of terminals such that an adjusting element jointly generates the first movement of the shorter pivot levers, the movement of which is synchronized via a coupling member and that the second movement of the longer pivot levers also takes place via a common actuator, but these pivot arms can be pivoted parallel to one another.

Matching parts are provided with the same reference numbers. The description is given below for both representations. In detail, a filler neck 1 of essentially rectangular cross section is shown, which comprises a lower housing part 2, the end faces 3 of which run downward in a V-shape, and the side faces 4 of which are only partially recognizable.

The lower housing part 2 is welded to the filler neck 1. The end faces 3 are screwed to it by means of screws 5 and have upper attachment surfaces 6 which are laterally surrounded by tabs 7. The tabs 7 are connected at their inner ends to pivot pins 8 for expansion flaps 10 and at their outer ends to a support tube 28. Two-arm levers 9a, 9b of unequal length are fastened to the support tube 28, and expansion flaps 10 are welded to one end thereof. An actuating cylinder 11 engages on the longer lever 9b by means of an axis of rotation 12. The upper end of the actuating cylinder 21 is suspended from a tab 31 which is firmly connected to the filler neck 1. The positioning cylinder 11 is mounted by means of an axis of rotation 32 which is mounted in a tab 31 on the filler neck. When actuating the actuating cylinder 11, the spreading flaps pivot laterally about the axis of rotation 8 to the outside. Between the tab-shaped levers 9a, 9b there is in each case a further axis of rotation 13, on which pairs of triangular plates 14 are rotatably held together, to which clamping elements 15 abutting against the flaps are fastened. The sheets 14 are actuated via a connecting axis 16 by a further actuating cylinder 17 which is pivotally held in an axis 18 between the levers 9a, 9b.

The function of the aforementioned parts is as follows. The spreading flaps 10 can be opened or closed by means of the adjusting elements 11, the opening taking place in particular after a sack has been put on. When opening and closing, the actuating means of the clamping elements 15 fastened to the expansion flaps 10 are taken along. By actuating the actuating elements 17, these can be pivoted away from them regardless of the position of the spreading flaps 10, so that a sack can be put on and pressed against it, so that the edge of the sack is pressed against the latter, in particular in the open position of the spreading flaps.

In each case in front of the plane of the end faces 3, fork-shaped double lever arms 19 are arranged, which are fastened to tabs 33 so as to be rotatable about axes 34, which are also firmly connected to the filler neck 1. The one-armed lever arms 19 are actuated by means of a common actuating element 21, which is mounted in axes of rotation 29 and connects the opposing bridge-shaped swivel arms 19 to one another and moves them away from the filler neck, in particular from the end faces 3 of the lower housing part 2, and towards them. The swivel arms 19 can be displaced parallel to one another about axes of rotation 34.

In each of the bridge-shaped pivot arms 19, a pair of pivot arms 22 is pivotally mounted about axes of rotation 20. The swivel arms 22 are designed as two-armed levers and are operated in opposite directions by means of a common actuating element 23, a coupling 24, which is articulated to both, forcing a synchronous movement. The actuating element 23 is mounted on the pivot arms 22 in axes of rotation 30. Clamping elements 25 are arranged at the lower end of the swivel arms 22. When actuating the actuating element 23, the actuating elements 25 lying in front of an end face 3 are brought together in such a way that they can hold and hold together a pushed-on sack in the region of the side folds with first pressing faces 26. Upon subsequent actuation of the actuating element 21, the pairs of two clamped clamping elements 25 are then pressed with their second pressing surfaces against the end faces 3 of the lower housing part 2, so that they press the sack 27, which was still loosely opened, completely onto the end faces with the second contact surfaces 27. The mounting of the levers 22 about their axes of rotation 20 is shown in partial section and shows an adjustable storage to this axis, so that the levers 22 can adjust themselves when the clamping elements 25 are pressed.

The fork-shaped swivel arms 19 are each connected to one another via a cross member 38. An adjusting device 36 attached to tabs 35 limits the pivoting range of the lever arms 19. The tabs 35 are in turn firmly connected to the bag neck 1.
