Description

The invention relates to a device for winding a rope, in particular a tension rope for an awning fabric, which is pulled through an edge strip and is under spring tension, with a rope drum, which has a truncated cone-shaped drum shell and this projecting end walls.

In order to keep an awning fabric taut when unwinding from the fabric shaft and when winding it up, tension cables are used which are pulled through the edge strip of the awning fabric and are wound under spring tension on narrow cable drums which are attached to the ends of the fabric shaft and rotate together with it . Since the circumference of the fabric bale wound on the fabric shaft is initially large and then becomes smaller when the awning fabric is pulled off, the rope drums rotating with the fabric shaft at the same angular velocity must first be wound a lot and then less and less by the tensioning cables. To make this possible, the rope drums for the tensioning ropes have a truncated cone-shaped drum jacket, on which the rope, beginning with the larger diameter, runs in such a way that its turns become smaller with each revolution. For this it is necessary that the truncated cone-shaped drum jacket rope grooves has, which prevent the cable windings from sliding in the direction of the generatrix of the conical drum shell.

The production of the drum jackets with grooves is very complex and each rope drum must not only be adapted to the diameter of the rope to be wound on it, but also to the thickness of the awning fabric, since this determines the decrease or increase in the bale diameter with each revolution of the fabric shaft. In order to take this into account, it is known to adjust the cone angle of the cable drum by dividing the drum shell into several segments that can be spread to change the drum diameter at one end of the drum (EP-B1-0 208 103).

The object of the invention is to provide a very simple winding device which can be produced at low cost and with which, in particular, the tensioning ropes of awning fabrics can be easily wound up in a very small space, length differences in the rope to be wound up being disregarded.

This object is achieved with the invention in that the drum shell has a smooth surface and that a guide device is arranged at a distance from the drum shell, on which the rope rests and which forms an inlet gap for the rope with the drum shell, which directs it onto the drum shell and allowed him to move sideways.

This configuration has the advantage that the point of entry for the rope essentially always remains the same and the individual windings lie close to one another and one above the other on the drum jacket and run in an orderly manner onto this and run off again. The compensation of any length differences is left to the springs, which are connected to the rope and keep it under tension.

Zweckmäßig beträgt der halbe Kegelwinkel ∼ 6°.The cable drum with its smooth, truncated cone-shaped drum jacket and the adjoining end walls can be produced easily and inexpensively, the conicity of the drum jacket not having to take into account the thickness of an awning fabric to be rolled off the fabric shaft. The half cone angle of the drum shell only has to be so large that the windings of the rope winding on the drum shell slide in the axial direction of the drum and can lie close together. The half cone angle hal 6 ° is expedient.

The guide device for the rope can be a roller, which is mounted so that it can be moved in front of the drum jacket. However, since such a displaceable, rotatable roller requires lubrication and maintenance, it is more expedient if the guide device has a sliding surface for the rope which is convexly curved in the running direction of the rope. The rope is then deflected on this sliding surface in a substantially constant direction of flow and can move back and forth on the sliding surface while the cable turns running onto the drum jacket lie side by side.

The sliding surface of the guide device is expediently curved towards a cylindrical surface and has protruding lateral boundary walls. This ensures that the specific contact pressure of the rope on the guide device does not become too great when the rope reaches the outer layer of several layers on the drum and is bent more and more on the sliding surface.

So that the rope can easily move back and forth on the sliding surface of the guide device, the sliding surface is advantageously formed by a polished metal band, in particular a polished steel band, which is stretched over a spatial frame.

The width of the drum shell suitably corresponds to a multiple of the rope thickness, increased by half a rope thickness. It is hereby achieved that the windings wound on the drum lie in the gusset of the windings arranged underneath each of the cables wound on the drum jacket, the cable running back and forth on the drum jacket.

A rope end is expediently attached to or next to that end wall of the rope drum which is assigned to the drum jacket end with the smaller diameter. The rope then begins to wind up at the smaller drum diameter with increasing turns, each turn on the drum jacket sliding in the direction of the previous turn and lying tightly against it, while one layer of turns winds over the other.

Er ist derart konisch, daß der halbe Kegelwinkel α ∼ 6° beträgt (Fig. 2).In the drawing, 10 denotes a winding device for the tensioning rope 11 of an awning fabric, not shown, which consists of a rope drum 12 and a guide device 13. The cable drum 12 sits on one end of a cloth shaft (not shown in more detail) for the awning cloth and rotates together with it in the direction of the arrow 14. The cable drum 12 consists of a truncated cone Drum casing 15, on the end faces of which end walls 16 and 17 are arranged, which protrude beyond the drum casing 15. The drum jacket 15 has a smooth surface and is made of sheet steel, for example. It can also be made of plastic and consist of the end walls 16 and 17 in one piece. It is so conical that half the cone angle α ∼ 6 ° (Fig. 2).

The end 11a of the tensioning cable 11 is fastened in a slot 18 of the end wall 16 which is open at the edge and which is adjacent to the drum jacket end 15a, which has the smaller outer diameter d.

The tensioning cable 11 is fed to the winding device 10 through a guide rail 19, in which one end of the edge strip (not shown) for the awning fabric, through which the tensioning cable 11 is pulled, is also guided.

Between the end of the guide rail 19 and the cable drum 12 is the guide device 13, which is arranged at a distance from the drum jacket 15 and the tension cable arriving on the guide rail 19 directs downwards onto the drum jacket 15 such that the cable 11 from below onto the Drum shell 15 runs up. The guide device 13 thus forms, together with the drum jacket 15, an inlet gap 20 for the rope 11, in which the rope can move up and down from one rope layer to the other without its inlet height changing at the front edge 21 of the guide device 13.

The guide device 13 consists of a spatial frame 22, which can be made of plastic as an injection molded part and has a convexly curved back 23. A polished steel band 24 is stretched over this back 23 of the frame 22, which is curved towards a cylindrical surface, which has a sliding surface 25 forms for the rope 11 and is delimited by laterally arranged boundary walls 26 and 27. The width of the sliding surface 25 is at least as large as the width B of the drum shell 15, and the tensioning rope 11 can move back and forth between the lateral boundary walls 26 and 27 on the sliding surface 25 of the guide device 13 when the rope is wound on the drum shell 15 .

From Fig. 2 it can be seen that the width B of the drum shell corresponds to a multiple of the rope thickness s increased by half a rope thickness s / 2. In connection with the taper of the drum jacket 15, it is thereby achieved that when the cable drum 12 rotates in the direction of the arrow 14, the cable at its end 11a is wound onto the cable drum 12 from below in such a way that the turns of the first, lowest position A lie directly on the drum jacket 15 and the first turn of the second layer partially lies in the gap 27, which has a width of half a rope thickness s / 2 and remains between the last turn of the first layer A and the end wall 17.

Since the first turn of the second layer B is clamped between the last turn of the first layer A and the end wall 17 and is under the longitudinal tension of the spring (not shown) acting on the cable 11, this turn cannot be on the turns of the first layer A in Slide down the axial direction of the cable drum. Similarly, the following descending turns of the second layer B are retained in the gussets 28 of adjacent turns of the first layer A, while one turn of the second layer B after another lies on the turns of the first layer A until the last turn is reached and the following turn climbs into the gap 29 which is formed by the last turn of the second layer B and the end wall 16 of the cable drum 12.

The turns of the third layer C and the fourth layer D then lie next to and on top of one another as well as the turns conditions of the first layer A and the second layer B until the entire rope is wound on the rope drum 12.

It can be seen that the rope when winding on the drum shell from bottom to top over an increasingly longer distance on the polished steel belt of the guide device 13 and can easily move back and forth on the sliding surface 25, depending on where each coiled winding is located, but that the entry point on the front edge 21 of the guide device 13 always maintains the same height.

The invention is not restricted to the exemplary embodiment shown and described, but several changes and additions are possible without leaving the scope of the invention as defined in the claims. As already mentioned above, a laterally displaceable guide roller could also be provided as the guide device instead of the polished sliding surface. Furthermore, in the case of winding devices for ropes for other purposes, it is possible not to let the rope run onto the drum jacket from below, but from above, if only the individual turns of the rope are wound up in ascending order on the conical drum jacket. Furthermore, it is also possible to change the taper of the drum jacket somewhat or to make the end walls divergent in order to accommodate a larger amount of rope and still prevent lateral displacements of the rope turns against one another.
