Abstract

In a pivot bearing for the pivotable coupling of pivoting elements to a frame, bearing journals protruding on both sides from the pivoting elements are clipped into bearing recesses (open on one side) in the region of bearing brackets injection-moulded opposite one another onto both longitudinal sides of the frame. The bearing recesses are each formed by two pairs of associated bearing notches which, for their part, are arranged on the free ends of spring arms which extend away from the bearing brackets. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a pivot bearing for pivot elements mounted on a frame so as to be pivotable about a pivot axis, in which bearing pins projecting from the pivot elements on both sides are clipped into bearing recesses which are open on one side and opposite frame sides associated with one another. In particular, the invention relates to swivel bearings for the air guide elements in air nozzles.

Pivot bearings of this type are already known in the case of air nozzles designed as plastic parts with air guiding elements which can be pivoted between a closed and a maximum opening position and can be adjusted in any position between the aforementioned end positions.

Such a pivot bearing for the air guiding elements in air nozzles is described in GB-A-2 108 263, in which opposite longitudinal sides of a frame designed as a plastic injection-molded part are equipped with bearing recesses which consist of fork-like projections with complementary bearing catches in the region of their free ends and serve to clip in the journals of the air guiding elements.

It is unsatisfactory that because of the only limited elastic deformability of the bearing pegs Provided projections, the open sides of the bearing recesses must be large, which leads to the fact that the looping of the bearing pin is small in the mounting position. It is also unsatisfactory that the clipped bearing journals are held in the assembled position only by the spring force of the fork-like projections, the bearing catches of which form the bearing recesses. When adjusting the air guiding elements, however, forces acting on the clipped-in journal counter to the clipping-in action and thereby pushing the journal out of the bearing recesses receiving it, with the result that jamming then occurs.

There are also pivot bearings of the type and intended use known, in which bearing brackets with bearing recesses are arranged on opposite longitudinal sides of an air guiding element pivotally receiving frame, which also allow the mounting of the air guiding elements by clipping the protruding laterally from these journal into the bearing recesses by the spring open the lateral boundaries of the bearing recesses within the scope of their plastic deformability and spring back into their starting positions after the bearing pins have been clipped in.

Even with these pivot bearings, given the only limited elastic deformability of the fork-shaped limitations of the bearing recesses, the open sides of the bearing pins must be large in size for clipping in, which also has the consequence that the bearing wrap angles are small after assembly. As a result, even with these pivot bearings, the trunnions can be easily actuated when the air guiding elements are actuated get out of their mounting positions because the disassembly forces are much smaller than the assembly forces to be applied when clipping in.

Accordingly, the object on which the invention is based is to improve the pivot bearing intended for the storage of pivot elements of the type specified in the preamble of claim 1 in such a way that, with simple assembly, a secure mounting of the pivot pins of the pivot elements is ensured in the assembled position.

This object is achieved in that opposite bearing brackets are molded on both longitudinal sides of the frame, and that in parallel to the longitudinal sides of the frame of molded bearing brackets spring arms with bearing catches arranged at their free ends extend that the bearing catches of two spring arms, with their free ends are directed towards one another, form a bearing journal between them receiving bearing recesses with an insertion slot for clipping a bearing journal, and that the bearing journals received in the bearing recesses face the bearing catches with their sides facing the respective insertion slot, on the other hand with the sides facing away from the insertion slots support on abutments.

The invention thus realizes a pivot bearing design in which, in view of the arrangement of the bearing catches forming the bearing recesses at the free ends of spring arms, the bearing pins of the pivoting elements can be clipped into the bearing recesses with little effort and large bearing journal wrap angles can nevertheless be achieved in the assembly position, in which a random pushing out of the bearing pins from their mounting positions is also effective It is prevented that forces acting on the bearing pins of the swivel elements do not act as spreading forces on the spring arms forming a bearing recess, but act in the manner of a self-locking effect on the bearing catches of a bearing recess in the sense of a closing force that reduces the respective insertion slot. In the pivot bearing according to the invention, the spring arms provided with the bearing catches for receiving the bearing journals of the air guiding elements are thus designed such that only small forces are required to clip the bearing journals into the bearing recesses, while a possible disengagement is not possible without special disassembly aids.

Within the scope of the invention, two bearing catches which are assigned to one another and form a bearing recess can be arranged in a fork-like manner by spring arms extending from a bracket. It has proven to be particularly advantageous, however, if, according to a further development, each spring arm extends from each bearing bracket to sides facing away from one another with a bearing catch arranged at its free end, the bearing catches arranged at the free ends of spring arms of adjacent bearing brackets then forming a bearing recess . The spring arms can expediently each extend from a web connecting the bearing bracket to the longitudinal side of the frame.

With swivel bearings designed in this way, the spring arms can have a considerable length extension and thus have great elastic deformability, so that, without prejudice to small-sized insertion openings for the bearing pins, the latter can easily be clipped into the mounting position and large wrap angles can be realized.

Another important further development provides, in the interest of an advantageous assembly aid, that the spring arms facing one another and forming a bearing recess converge towards the latter and form funnel-like guides in the direction of insertion of the journal, i.e. perpendicular to the bearing axis formed by the latter, by means of the latter during assembly, the trunnions are fed to the bearing recesses in the correct position.

In the context of the present invention, the bearing recesses formed by the bearing catches arranged at the free ends of the spring catches can also be designed such that the bearing catches effectively encompass the bearing journals on opposite sides in such a way that the bearing journals neither deform without deforming the spring catches carrying the bearing catches Can still dodge towards the side facing away from the direction of insertion. The arrangement can also be such that adjacent bearing brackets in the longitudinal direction of the frame side parts are connected to each other opposite the respective insertion slot of the bearing recesses for clipping in the bearing journal, and that the sections conveying this connection form abutments for the bearing journals which are otherwise accommodated between mutually associated bearing catches.

With such a pivot bearing design, a secure bearing journal support is ensured if the bearing catches arranged on the free ends of the spring arms only grip the bearing journals towards the insertion side.

According to a further development, the bearing journals can be provided at their ends facing away from the pivot elements with end flanges projecting radially beyond the journals, which in the assembled position engage positively behind the spring arms or the bearing catches arranged at their free ends, so that the pivot elements are precisely defined in the assembly position is also guaranteed in the direction of the articulation axis.

Finally, within the scope of the invention, guides running for the ends of the bearing journals in the insertion direction of the bearing journals in the insertion direction of the bearing journals can also be provided between adjacent bearing brackets, so that the bearing journal ends in the assembly position between the guide ends facing away from the insertion end and those at the free ends of the Spring arms arranged bearing catches are taken and largely guided freely.

The air nozzle 10 illustrated in the drawing has a circumferential frame 11 with air guide elements 12, 12 'accommodated therein, which are pivotably mounted on the frame side parts 13, 13'. The lamellar air guiding elements 12 have injection pins 14, 14 'extending on both sides of them and in the longitudinal direction of the frame successively injection-molded on the inside of the frame side parts 13, 13', mutually opposite bearing brackets 15, 15 '.

The bearing brackets 15, 15 ', as shown in particular in FIG. 4, each have spring arms 17, 17' extending from a web 16 to sides facing away from one another, the bearing catches 18, which are matched at their free ends to the contour of the bearing pins 14, 14 ', 18 'are equipped. In each case two mutually associated bearing pegs form a bearing recess 20 which is open on one side and the spring arms 17, 17 'which extend from one another in the longitudinal direction of the frame 16 to one another extend to the bearing pegs 18, 18' arranged at their free ends or in the direction of the open side 21 of FIG bearing recess 20 formed by the bearing catches converging. This converging Sections of the spring arms thus form funnel-like insertion openings for the bearing journals 14, 14 'of the air guiding elements 12, 12' during their assembly.

Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 3 in particular, the bearing brackets 22 growing out of the respective side part and between the bracket plates of adjacent bearing brackets 15, 15 'extend open guides 23 for the journal ends to the insertion side of the bearing journals. On the other hand, said guides 23 are closed by connecting sections of adjacent brackets forming abutments. The free ends of the journals 14, 14 'of the air guide elements 12, 12' are provided with end flanges 24, 24 'projecting radially beyond the journals, the diameter of which is approximately equal to the width of the guides 23 formed between adjacent console plates 22.

When installing the air guiding elements 12, 12 ', they are inserted from the rear with their laterally projecting bearing pins 14, 14' between the side parts 13, 13 'of the frame 11 in such a way that the bearing pins face each other in the sections converging from one another Spring arms 17, 17 'arrive, the end flanges 24, 24' engaging in the corresponding guides 23 between adjacent console plates 22, and then pressed into their mounting position by the application of slight force in the direction of the abutments delimiting the said guides. The spring arms 17, 17 'spring apart from the associated bearing catches and snap back after the bearing pins 14, 14' have been clipped into the assembly position shown in FIG. 4, in which the end flanges 24, 24 'of the bearing pins between the abutments mentioned and the adjacent pin sections and the bearing pins themselves are received between the bearing catches 18, 18' of adjacent spring arms 17, 17 '.

The arrangement of the bearing pegs 18, 18 'at the free ends of spring arms 17, 17' enables a large spring-back capacity of the bearing recesses 20 during assembly, with the result that the bearing pegs 18, 18 'in the assembled state over the bearing pins 14, 14' on the insertion side cover large circumferential areas. A swivel bearing design is thus realized which is characterized by large bearing circumference angles in the assembled state and in which accidental disassembly of the air guiding elements 12, 12 'is effectively prevented, because disassembling forces which are disproportionately greater than those used for the assembly work for the dismantling of the air guiding elements ought to.

The air-guiding elements 12, 12 'which are pivotably mounted within a frame 11 have projections 25, 25' on the rear, to which a continuous coupling rod 26 is connected in an articulated manner. In view of this forced coupling of the air guiding elements 12, 12 ', they pivot together from the closed position illustrated in FIG. 4 in thin lines into the open position at 27 shown in dashed lines and vice versa.
