Definitions
- the present invention relates to an air jet weaving machine with a device for forming a fabric alley or the like according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
- Such fabric alleys are required, for example, to produce an insert edge from this fabric alley by cutting the weft thread in this area.
- the fabric lane is formed by saving the warp threads at the location of the desired fabric lane in the fabric, so that only weft threads are present at this point when the weft is inserted.
- the disadvantage of the known device is that a reed extending over the entire width of the weave is relatively expensive. If a reed is damaged at a certain point, it must be replaced as a whole.
- Another disadvantage of the known device is that the mechanics of the insertion device have to be arranged movably and driveably over the fabric web in order to bring the mechanics outside the area of the reed when the blade is stopped.
- the part reeds with an intermediate nozzle have, based on the striking of the weft thread, in the same way as a reed extending over the entire width of the reed, as here too the mechanism of the insertion device has to be moved from the area of the weft thread stop edge.
- the object of the invention is therefore to develop an air jet weaving machine of the type mentioned in such a way that in a reed gap existing between two adjacent reeds, the ventilation properties of the partial reed entry channel are retained and the reed gap is kept open when the weft thread is picked up.
- the technical teaching according to claim 1 serves to solve the problem.
- An essential feature of the invention is that there is no longer a reed that extends over the entire width of the fabric, but that this reed is divided into any number of sub-reeds, which are mounted together on a sheet bar, between the sub-reeds in each case at the location there is a gap in the desired fabric alley into which a filler piece can be placed at the time the weft is inserted, ie in the rear position of the reed.
- the reed filler ensures a safe and undisturbed weft insertion.
- the thread to be entered is not disturbed in the reed gap.
- the filler piece simulates the ventilation properties of the air intake duct in the area of the gap. In this area of the reed gap, the weft thread can also be inserted undisturbed through the entry channel over the entire width of the weave.
- the reed filler is fixed to the weaving machine in such a way that it comes into alignment with the reed pieces (partial reed) in the rear leaf position in which the weft is inserted. Only in this position must the reed filler simulate the weft insertion channel in the area of the reed gap in order to ensure undisturbed insertion of the weft thread over the entire weaving width. In all other reed positions, such a simulation is not necessary and it is therefore sufficient if the filler piece remains in the stated position when the blade stops and only fills the reed gap there.
- the filler piece In the forward position of the reed, the filler piece remains in its rear position and the insert can reach freely through the gap with its insert mechanism.
- This has the essential advantage that the entire insertion mechanism of the insert does not have to be brought outside the area of the pivotable reed, because - as shown above - the insertion mechanism can reach through the gap of the reed.
- tissue processing units can also be provided instead of the insert.
- the arrangement of an insert which essentially consists of a clamp, scissors and corresponding insert needles, is preferred.
- other edge mechanisms can be used instead of the insert with needles, e.g. B. welding or gluing devices, which could then also have a clamp or scissors, but do not insert the cut weft, but e.g. weld or glue.
- the struck weft thread is thus reliably gripped and clamped and can subsequently be cut and inserted by known insertion needles to form an insert edge.
- the reed filler only in the area of the specialist disclosure, i.e. must simulate the ventilation characteristics of the reed when entering the weft.
- the filler piece is designed in the same design as the other part of the reed.
- the reed filler is designed as a simple plate, in which an entry channel is incorporated.
- the type and design of the filler also depends on the width of the desired fabric alley.
- the ventilation properties of the filler piece are not so important and, for example, it is sufficient in this case to design the filler piece as a solid plate with an air inlet channel incorporated into it.
- Another advantage of the technical teaching according to the invention is that the Manufacturing costs for a reed according to the present invention are much lower. It is no longer necessary to produce a reed that spans the entire width of the weave, but it is sufficient to attach appropriate reeds. If a part Riet damaged, then it is sufficient to Substitution of this single part of the reed, wherein the other part Riete thereof remain non-influential t.
- the reed of the air jet weaving machine consists of two partial reeds 1, 2 which are arranged in alignment with one another on a common sheet bar 11.
- the two partial reeds 1, 2 form a reed gap 8, which in the rear position of the sheet bar 11 is in alignment when the weft is inserted
- the filler 9 is filled.
- the filler 9 is designed in the same way as the partial reed 1, 2, i.e. the number and the distance of the individual reed rods in the reed filler 9 is approximately equal to the number and the distance of the reed rods in the partial reeds 1,2.
- Figure 1 it is shown that the compartment 5 is open and that in this position a weft thread is inserted into the entry channel 10 of the partial reeds 1, 2, the entry channel 10 of the reed filler 9 (see FIG. 3) with the rest of the entry channel 10 of the partial row 1,2 is aligned.
- the open compartment according to FIG. 2 is formed by the warp threads 6, the fabric 7 being formed beyond the reed stop.
- the reed filler 9 is fastened to a machine-fixed holder 13, to which the insert 12 can also be fastened. Below the holder 13, the fabric alley extending in the fabric 7 in the longitudinal direction of the warp threads 6 is formed.
- FIG. 2 shows that the blade strip 11, which was previously pivoted backwards in the direction of the arrow 3, is pivoted forward in the direction of the arrow 4 up to the rivet stop, and that the previously mentioned gap 8 then forms.
- the reed filler 9 remains in its front position in the front reed position (at the reed stop) of the partial reed 1,2, so that the insert 12 engages with its insertion mechanism in the reed gap 8 that is now forming, which - as previously described - is stationary is arranged.
- the individual actuating parts of the individual insertion mechanism can be pivoted and, if necessary, displaced in a manner known per se. In any case, it is no longer necessary, as in the prior art, for the entire mechanism to be displaceable in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the warp threads.
- each insertion needle 15 being assigned a rotatable and, if appropriate, displaceable shaft 16.

Description
The present invention relates to an air jet weaving machine with a device for forming a fabric alley or the like according to the preamble of
Such fabric alleys are required, for example, to produce an insert edge from this fabric alley by cutting the weft thread in this area. For this purpose, it is known to position an insert over the fabric alley so that it is possible to cut the weft thread in the region of this fabric alley and then insert the weft thread to form an insert edge.
The fabric lane is formed by saving the warp threads at the location of the desired fabric lane in the fabric, so that only weft threads are present at this point when the weft is inserted.
It is known to grasp, clamp, cut and then insert the weft thread in each case with a special insertion device to form a fabric edge. For this purpose, a reed extending over the entire weaving width is used, in which the warp threads are left out at the location of the desired fabric alley.
The disadvantage of the known device is that a reed extending over the entire width of the weave is relatively expensive. If a reed is damaged at a certain point, it must be replaced as a whole.
Another disadvantage of the known device is that the mechanics of the insertion device have to be arranged movably and driveably over the fabric web in order to bring the mechanics outside the area of the reed when the blade is stopped.
With a mechanism of an insert that is designed to be displaceable in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the warp threads, however, there is the disadvantage that a relatively large design and manufacturing outlay is necessary in order to make the entire insertion mechanism, consisting of scissors, clamp and insertion needle, movable. Valuable time is also lost and the entire insertion mechanism reworked Position the blade stop to initiate the loading process.
From the patent DE-A-38 21 224 an air jet weaving machine for multi-lane weaving with at least a first and a second reed is known. There is a gap between the two reeds arranged side by side, into which an intermediate nozzle is arranged for the purpose of achieving a further acceleration of the weft thread that is independent of the first acceleration. This intermediate nozzle bridges the gap between the reed gap between the entry channel of the first reed and the entry channel of the second reed.
However, the part reeds with an intermediate nozzle have, based on the striking of the weft thread, in the same way as a reed extending over the entire width of the reed, as here too the mechanism of the insertion device has to be moved from the area of the weft thread stop edge.
The object of the invention is therefore to develop an air jet weaving machine of the type mentioned in such a way that in a reed gap existing between two adjacent reeds, the ventilation properties of the partial reed entry channel are retained and the reed gap is kept open when the weft thread is picked up.
The technical teaching according to
An essential feature of the invention is that there is no longer a reed that extends over the entire width of the fabric, but that this reed is divided into any number of sub-reeds, which are mounted together on a sheet bar, between the sub-reeds in each case at the location there is a gap in the desired fabric alley into which a filler piece can be placed at the time the weft is inserted, ie in the rear position of the reed.
The reed filler ensures a safe and undisturbed weft insertion. The thread to be entered is not disturbed in the reed gap. It is provided according to the invention that the filler piece simulates the ventilation properties of the air intake duct in the area of the gap. In this area of the reed gap, the weft thread can also be inserted undisturbed through the entry channel over the entire width of the weave.
With the arrangement of filler pieces between the partial reeds _in the rear The reed position now has the essential advantage that the entire mechanics of an insert can now be arranged in a fixed position, and there is no longer any need for an additional movement mechanism, as was necessary in the prior art.
It is now important that the reed filler is fixed to the weaving machine in such a way that it comes into alignment with the reed pieces (partial reed) in the rear leaf position in which the weft is inserted.
In the forward position of the reed, the filler piece remains in its rear position and the insert can reach freely through the gap with its insert mechanism. This has the essential advantage that the entire insertion mechanism of the insert does not have to be brought outside the area of the pivotable reed, because - as shown above - the insertion mechanism can reach through the gap of the reed.
It goes without saying and is encompassed by the present invention that other tissue processing units can also be provided instead of the insert. The arrangement of an insert, which essentially consists of a clamp, scissors and corresponding insert needles, is preferred. However, it is also encompassed by the present invention that other edge mechanisms can be used instead of the insert with needles, e.g. B. welding or gluing devices, which could then also have a clamp or scissors, but do not insert the cut weft, but e.g. weld or glue.
With the arrangement of a fixed insertion mechanism of an insert there is the advantage that it is no longer necessary to search for the struck weft thread by means of clamp and scissor mechanisms, but in the present invention the struck weft thread is immediately brought into the region of an open clamp by the blade stop which then closes and holds this weft. This saves valuable time because the previously described - at the state of Technically necessary - search for the weft thread is omitted.
The struck weft thread is thus reliably gripped and clamped and can subsequently be cut and inserted by known insertion needles to form an insert edge.
From this it follows that the mechanics required for this work much more cost-effectively and faster, which makes it possible overall to operate the weaving machine with higher output.
From the above description it follows that the reed filler only in the area of the specialist disclosure, i.e. must simulate the ventilation characteristics of the reed when entering the weft. For this purpose, it is provided in a first embodiment that the filler piece is designed in the same design as the other part of the reed.
In another embodiment of the present invention, it is provided that the reed filler is designed as a simple plate, in which an entry channel is incorporated.
In another embodiment of the present invention, provision can be made for a relay nozzle to be connected to the filler in order to ensure a corresponding carrying and guiding function for the weft thread to be inserted in the area of the filler.
The type and design of the filler also depends on the width of the desired fabric alley.
If a relatively wide lane of fabric is desired, then it is necessary to make the reed filler as identical as possible to the rest of the reed in order to avoid disturbing the weft thread. If only a narrow fabric lane is required, then the ventilation properties of the filler piece are not so important and, for example, it is sufficient in this case to design the filler piece as a solid plate with an air inlet channel incorporated into it.
It is therefore possible to adapt the width of the fabric lane to the weaving requirements and this width e.g. in the range of 10 to 100 mm.
Another advantage of the technical teaching according to the invention is that the Manufacturing costs for a reed according to the present invention are much lower. It is no longer necessary to produce a reed that spans the entire width of the weave, but it is sufficient to attach appropriate reeds. If a part Riet damaged, then it is sufficient to Substitution of this single part of the reed, wherein the other part Riete thereof remain non-influential t.
It is of course within the scope of the present invention that an arbitrary number of partial reeds with spacer pieces arranged in between are arranged over the entire width of the weave.
Moreover, it is also possible to provide such a reed gap with a reed filler piece outside the weaving width in order to take special processing measures, for example, in the edge region of the fabric.
