B. screen devices are controlled via a keyboard, which generally consists of a separate keyboard housing arranged in front of the electronic device, with one or more control panels protruding from the housing, such as, for. B. Typewriter key field, in which arranged in columns and rows arranged individual keys or key switches.
- the individual keys or key switches themselves can be soldered onto a common circuit board which is equipped with electronic components, in particular microprocessors.
- Each key switch is one or more meaning, such as. B. letters, numbers or the like.
- Each key switch is one or more meaning, such as. B. letters, numbers or the like.
- Associated with the Key actuation To differentiate between the individual keys, they are coded, for example, in binary signals. About a z. B.
- the actuated key is implemented in a certain binary code, usually using 8 to 10 binary bits in the form of rectangular pulses.
- the function of the individual keys in this bit pattern is clearly assigned to one another. The assignment to each other takes place by means of a microprocessor on the board.
- the microprocessors work e.g. B. with a clock frequency between 1 to 6 MHz, d. H. at 6 MHz a switching process takes place 6 times per microsecond. These switching operations, which run at high switching speeds, cause a high-frequency interference, which the computer or the microprocessor triggers. This results in a spectrum of interference frequencies, which, due to the coding and the systematics of the key query, contain information that can be clearly assigned to the characters entered on the keyboard. On the one hand, these disturbances are radiated directly into the air, on the other hand, they are released into the environment as wired disturbances via the keyboard cable and the connected computer.
- a certain shielding of the circuit board accommodating the individual pushbutton switches is achieved by providing a metal frame designed as a flat sheet metal, in which the housing of the pushbutton switches are inserted. In this way, the interference level values are already reduced. In practice, however, high-frequency interference can still emerge to such an extent that listening to these frequencies is possible. This can be too lead to undesired collection of data and information by unauthorized persons.

- An electrically conductive material such as aluminum, brass or copper is proposed as the material for the known shielding housing.
- the invention has for its object to avoid the disadvantages of known devices in the shielding of high-frequency radiation and to provide a keyboard for electronic display devices in particular, which offers an optimal shielding of RF radiation.
- the keyboard according to the invention should in particular be shielded from the outside in such a way that no detectable and decodable HF frequencies can exit anymore. If these nevertheless emerge, they should be in an undetectable frequency range.
- the invention has the advantage over known keyboards that it enables extensive and optimal isolation of the RF signals occurring in the keyboard from the outside, i. H. the level of interference can be reduced compared to conventional keyboards by such a value that it comes to lie under the ubiquitous cosmic noise. This means that HF interference frequencies emerging from the keyboard can no longer be analyzed by unauthorized persons.
- the optimum partitioning of the keyboard results from analysis of measured values with known devices.
- the typing keyboard 1 shown in FIG. 1 for an electronic screen or data processing device consists of an approximately U-shaped or L-shaped keyboard housing 2 made of aluminum or electrically conductive coated plastic, with recesses 5, 6 made in the wall 3 of the keyboard top 4 from which control panels 7, 8 protrude.
- the control panel 7 consists, for example, of pushbuttons 9 arranged in columns and rows, five pushbuttons arranged in a column being shown in FIG. 1.
- the control panel 8 consists, for. B. from a row of push buttons 9 arranged side by side.
- Each pushbutton switch 9 consists of its own pushbutton switch housing 10, with connection contacts 11 projecting downwards and upper actuation button caps 12.
- the individual key switches 9 are soldered to a common circuit board 13.
- the board contains the necessary electronic components, such as. B.
- Microprocessors 14 are arranged below the circuit board 13 in FIG. 1. However, they can also be arranged above the circuit board 13 'in accordance with the dash-dotted embodiment 14'.
- the individual pushbutton switches 9 are embedded with their housing 10 in a metal frame 15 designed as a flat sheet metal, which only has the cutouts 16 for gap-free reception of the pushbutton switch housing 10 and is otherwise completely closed.
- the metal frame 15 therefore already represents a kind of shielding of the underlying circuit board 13 towards the top.
- the keyboard housing 2 consists of an aluminum extruded profile with a wall thickness s1 of at least about 3.0 mm.
- the keyboard housing consists of the keyboard top 4, the rounded short keyboard front 17 and the longer keyboard back 18.
- the extruded profile offers the possibility of extending over the entire length of the extruded profile longitudinal grooves 20 for the use of threaded strips or screw channels 19, not shown, in particular for molding the side end pieces, d. - FIG. 2 an end piece 25 is shown, which in the front opening shown in Fig. 1 of the Key housing 2 opposite end can be used.
- 3 shows an associated detail of the connection between end piece 25 and keyboard housing 2 and base plate 30.
- a corresponding mirror-image end piece is to be inserted on the end face into the end face shown in FIG. 1.
- the end piece 25 has a total wall thickness s3 ⁇ 10 mm and is also made of an RF radiation shielding metal.
- the end piece 25 has circumferential milled surfaces 26 to 28 which plunge into the keyboard housing 2, 4, 17, 18 and form several shoulders there for multiple right-angled RF radiation deflection. Due to the precise production, there may be microfine intermediate gaps. The radiation is always deflected in such a gap, which leads to a high level of attenuation.

- a metal housing base 30 closing the button housing 2 towards the bottom then only needs to be screwed from below onto the threaded strips in the longitudinal grooves 20 in the lower region of the front side 17 and the rear side 18 and into additional bores 31 in the end pieces 25.
- the housing base 30 is sealed by means of an elastic, electrically conductive HF seal 31, the underside of the keyboard housing 2 having corresponding longitudinal cutouts 32.
- a Corresponding recess 33 for inserting the horizontally rotating HF seal 31 is embedded in the underside 34 of each end piece 25.
- FIGS. 2 and 3 the path of the HF radiation with respect to the end piece 25 is shown by arrow 35.
- the HF radiation emerging from the keyboard housing is reduced to a minimum by repeated deflection through the housing structure. Due to the wall sections 38 entering or penetrating into the housing 2, the HF radiation is deflected at right angles along the arrows 39, 40 (see FIGS. 2 and 3).
- the material thickness also contributes to a very large absorption of the radiation.
- the wall thickness s3 of the end piece 25 is s3 ⁇ 10 mm.
- the immersed wall section 38 has a width s4 ⁇ 6 mm.
- the thickness of the housing in the deflection area is s5 ⁇ 7 mm.
- the base plate 30 has a thickness s6 ⁇ 2.5 mm.
- the keyboard according to the invention is therefore suitable as a tap-proof keyboard in important areas of use.
- FIG. 3 corresponds in principle to the immersion area of the end piece 25 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 on the right-hand side of the figure. This is shown in FIG. 2 with "X".

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a keyboard, in particular for electronic data processing devices according to the preamble of claim 1.
A variety of electronic devices, such as. B. screen devices are controlled via a keyboard, which generally consists of a separate keyboard housing arranged in front of the electronic device, with one or more control panels protruding from the housing, such as, for. B. Typewriter key field, in which arranged in columns and rows arranged individual keys or key switches. The individual keys or key switches themselves can be soldered onto a common circuit board which is equipped with electronic components, in particular microprocessors. Each key switch is one or more meaning, such as. B. letters, numbers or the like. Associated with the Key actuation. To differentiate between the individual keys, they are coded, for example, in binary signals. About a z. B. serial interface, the actuated key is implemented in a certain binary code, usually using 8 to 10 binary bits in the form of rectangular pulses. The function of the individual keys in this bit pattern is clearly assigned to one another. The assignment to each other takes place by means of a microprocessor on the board.
The microprocessors work e.g. B. with a clock frequency between 1 to 6 MHz, d. H. at 6 MHz a switching process takes
A certain shielding of the circuit board accommodating the individual pushbutton switches is achieved by providing a metal frame designed as a flat sheet metal, in which the housing of the pushbutton switches are inserted. In this way, the interference level values are already reduced. In practice, however, high-frequency interference can still emerge to such an extent that listening to these frequencies is possible. This can be too lead to undesired collection of data and information by unauthorized persons.
From DE 20 32 408
This known embodiment may achieve a significant decrease in the electromagnetic radiation that may escape to the outside. However, it is extremely complex. Furthermore, the consistent implementation of radiation shielding in the area of the button guide was not continued.
From
A 1 has disclosed a shielding housing for general use, in which the escape of high-frequency radiation is prevented or at least reduced by providing sharp-angled deflection edges for the HF radiation. The emergence of high-frequency radiation from a housing is therefore avoided by a sharp-angled connection or joint or by several abrupt angles.
The gaps between the housing parts must be kept as small as possible. An electrically conductive material such as aluminum, brass or copper is proposed as the material for the known shielding housing.
From the document US, A, 3,657,492 a writing keyboard according to the preamble of claim 1 has become known, which consists essentially of two superimposed, U-shaped sheet-like housing parts. This keyboard arrangement is a complicated, very large and also very high-build keyboard in order to achieve RF radiation shielding. Also from the still known US, A, 4,056,699 an RF-tight housing arrangement has become known, which consists of a U-shaped extruded profile. This is also a very high-build housing that is unusable for today's standard keyboards. The structure of both of the above-mentioned US documents is very complicated and requires a great deal of structural effort.
The invention has for its object to avoid the disadvantages of known devices in the shielding of high-frequency radiation and to provide a keyboard for electronic display devices in particular, which offers an optimal shielding of RF radiation. The keyboard according to the invention should in particular be shielded from the outside in such a way that no detectable and decodable HF frequencies can exit anymore. If these nevertheless emerge, they should be in an undetectable frequency range.
The invention has the advantage over known keyboards that it enables extensive and optimal isolation of the RF signals occurring in the keyboard from the outside, i. H. the level of interference can be reduced compared to conventional keyboards by such a value that it comes to lie under the ubiquitous cosmic noise. This means that HF interference frequencies emerging from the keyboard can no longer be analyzed by unauthorized persons. The optimum partitioning of the keyboard results from analysis of measured values with known devices.
The measures listed in the subclaims allow advantageous and expedient developments of the invention.

B. aus einer Zeile nebeneinander angeordneter Tastschalter 9.The typing keyboard 1 shown in FIG. 1 for an electronic screen or data processing device consists of an approximately U-shaped or L-shaped

The
The
In the area of the
The
A corresponding mirror-image end piece is to be inserted on the end face into the end face shown in FIG. 1. The
Due to the immersion of
