Definitions
- the invention relates to a mechanical lock on a plug connection between an electrical switch and a connector with a pin-shaped extension on one of the two parts to be connected, which engages in a matching recess on the other of the two parts.
- the invention has for its object to form such a mechanical lock between an electrical switch and a connector so that knowledge is required to release the lock that only can have someone who has been familiarized with the matter beforehand, usually an authorized person.
- a mechanical lock according to the generic term according to the invention in that a locking lug protrudes inwards from a side wall of the cutout provided on the switch or on the connecting plug, parallel to the longitudinal axis of the plug connection, for engagement with a locking spring provided on the peg-shaped extension.
- the mechanical locking according to the invention between the electrical switch and the connector has the advantage that the electrical-mechanical connection of the switch and connector can be made in any switch position, but the disconnection is only possible in a very specific switch position. It is particularly advantageous that the locking when manufacturing the Plug connection is carried out completely automatically and requires no additional manipulation. Unlocking requires not only a switch position known only to an authorized person, but also a targeted use of tools, and the principle of locking can be applied not only to switches with rotary movement, but also to switches with linear movement after appropriate adjustment.
- a particularly robust and secure locking of the switch and connector is achieved in a preferred embodiment of the invention in that the projection protruding from the lower part or base of the switch is hollow and cylindrical in shape with a radial recess adjacent to the locking spring, and in that the switching or The axis of rotation of the switch protrudes into the cylindrical extension and, in the area of the lateral recess on the extension, has a lateral groove or flattening as a recess for the engagement of the blocking extension protruding from the locking spring in a certain switching position, in which the recess on the axis of rotation with the recess the cylindrical extension is brought to congruence.
- a particularly secure locking between the switch and the connector is achieved in that the locking projection has a locking surface which engages behind the opposite locking lug and is directed outward at right angles by the locking spring.
- the mechanical locking is also facilitated by the fact that the locking lug protruding laterally into the cutout on the switch or connector has an inclined surface which rises in the direction of insertion of the extension and on which the locking projection forms when the plug connection is made glides along until it engages with its locking surface behind the parallel stop surface on the locking lug.
- the locking lug advantageously has an inclined outer sliding surface with which it slides along the inclined surface of the locking lug when the plug connection is made.
- the locking spring is formed at its free end with a lateral engagement surface for the tool or the screwdriver which projects beyond the locking shoulder. It is advantageous if the locking extension protrudes obliquely inwards from the free end of the locking spring at a distance from the locking shoulder to the opposite side of the locking spring.
- this safety interlock can also be applied to switches with linear movement, such as slide, pressure or plunger switches, if the recess for the engagement of the locking extension opposite the locking projection on the locking spring on a linearly opposite the pin-shaped extension transverse to the longitudinal axis of the plug connection slidable part of the switch is formed.
- the switch 1 is fastened to a support plate 3.
- a support plate 3 From the lower part or base 4 of the switch 1, on which there are also the connection plugs (not shown) for the electrical plug connection, an internally hollow cylindrical extension 5 with a lateral recess 6 protrudes in the longitudinal axis 2a of the plug connection.
- the axis of rotation or switch 7 of the switch 1 extends into the cylindrical extension 5 and has a lateral recess 8 in the form of a groove or flattened portion at a predetermined location, which is formed by rotating the axis of rotation or switch 7 of the switch 1 with the side recess 6 can be brought to congruence on the pin-shaped extension 5.
- the rotary or switching axis 7 can also be formed eccentrically at this point.
- a locking spring 9 projecting approximately parallel to the extension 5 and to the longitudinal axis 2a of the plug connection is also connected to a lateral locking projection 10, which has a locking surface 11 and an external inclined sliding surface 12, with which it connects to one another when the plug connection is made Locking lug 13 slides along, which protrudes radially inward from the housing side wall 14 of the connector 2 into the recess 15 for the extension 5 and has an inclined surface 16 rising in the direction of insertion of the switch extension 5.
- a locking extension 17 to the opposite side of the locking spring 9 in the region of the recess 6 protrudes so inwardly that it with a congruent setting of the lateral groove or flattening 8 on the rotation - Or switching axis 7 can engage with the radial recess 6 on the cylindrical extension 5 of the switch 1 in the two overlapping recesses or grooves.
- the locking lug 13 which protrudes into the recess 15 on the connector 2 for the extension 5 of the switch 1, has a rear stop surface 18 for the vertical outward blocking surface 11 on the blocking projection 10 directed to the side by the blocking spring.
- the locking lug 13 is on the housing side wall 14 which is parallel to the longitudinal axis 2a of the plug connection and to the connection plugs of the plug 2, not shown, on the switch 1 or on the plug 2 existing recess 15 is arranged and has an inclined surface 16 for the locking extension in the insertion direction of the peg-shaped extension 5, along which the locking extension 10 slides when the plug connection is made and is deflected until it has its vertical locking surface 11 behind the parallel stop surface 18 the locking lug 13 engages.
- the locking lug 13 can, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 4a, be designed to be resilient with its free end.
- the connector 2 also has an engagement slot 20 on its housing for a pin-shaped tool 21, such as a screwdriver or the like, in order to use it, as shown in FIG. 1, to press the locking projection 10 pointing radially outwards by depressing the locking spring 9 to disengage from the locking lug 13.
- a pin-shaped tool 21 such as a screwdriver or the like
- connection of the connector plug 2 to the base or lower part 4 of the switch 1, which is only schematically indicated, can take place in any switch position if the free end of the locking lug 13 assigned to the locking projection 10 on the locking spring 9 can be moved resiliently or radially, as in the exemplary embodiment of FIG. 4b, is formed so that it is deflected by the inclined surface 12 on the locking projection 10 when the extension 5 is inserted with the locking spring 9.
- the plug connection After the plug connection has been made, it engages behind Locking surface 11 of the locking projection 10, the stop surface 18 on the locking lug 13, and switch 1 and connector 2 are securely locked.
- the switch 1 If the locking is to be released, the switch 1 must first be brought into the position in which the groove or flat 8 on the switching axis 7 faces the locking extension 17 at the end of the locking spring 9.
- the locking projection 10 can be depressed by pressing the locking spring 9 with a pin-shaped tool 21, such as a screwdriver or the like, which has been inserted through the engagement slot 20 or the engagement opening on the connector housing and either on a lateral engagement surface 22 at the free end the locking spring 9 or on the outer sliding surface 12 of the locking projection 10 comes to rest, can be released from the engagement with the locking lug 13.
- the locking spring 9 is moved by the screwdriver towards the covering recess 6 on the extension 5 and the groove or flat 8 on the switching axis 7 to the center until the locking surface 11 of the locking projection 10 is released from the stop surface 18 on the locking lug 13 and the connector 2 can be removed from the switch 1.
- the locking spring 9 can also protrude inwards from the connector 2 in a modified embodiment of the invention, but then the locking lug 13 must be designed for the engagement of the locking projection 10 on the switch 1, while the recess 6 on the extension 5 and the groove or flat 8 on the axis of rotation 7 of the switch 1 must be arranged such that they can be brought into mutual engagement with the locking extension 17 of the locking spring 9 to release the lock.
- the engagement slot 20 or the engagement opening for the screwdriver is then arranged on the housing of the switch instead of on the connector plug 2 in order to release the interlocking between the nested two parts of the switch 1 and the connector plug 2.

Description
The invention relates to a mechanical lock on a plug connection between an electrical switch and a connector with a pin-shaped extension on one of the two parts to be connected, which engages in a matching recess on the other of the two parts.
To increase the functional reliability and to protect against misuse, it is advisable to mechanically lock the switch with the connector for electrical plug connections of switches. However, such mechanical interlocks can generally be solved by anyone even without special knowledge of the interlocking function with simple aids, so that they represent practically no protection against misuse.
The invention has for its object to form such a mechanical lock between an electrical switch and a connector so that knowledge is required to release the lock that only can have someone who has been familiarized with the matter beforehand, usually an authorized person.
This object is achieved with a mechanical lock according to the generic term according to the invention in that a locking lug protrudes inwards from a side wall of the cutout provided on the switch or on the connecting plug, parallel to the longitudinal axis of the plug connection, for engagement with a locking spring provided on the peg-shaped extension. which has a locking projection protruding outward to the locking lug and an inward locking extension which engages in the release position of the locking spring in a recess which can be aligned or made to cover by actuating the switch with a recess on the peg-shaped extension, and that on the housing of the connector or the switch an adjacent the free end of the locking spring engagement slot for a pen-shaped tool, such as a screwdriver or the like, is provided by which the locking approach only in that position of the Scha lters, in which the locking extension of the locking spring of the recess on the peg-shaped extension is opposite for a locking engagement, can be released from the locking position with the locking lug, so that switches and connecting plugs can be pulled apart and separated from one another.
The mechanical locking according to the invention between the electrical switch and the connector has the advantage that the electrical-mechanical connection of the switch and connector can be made in any switch position, but the disconnection is only possible in a very specific switch position.
A particularly robust and secure locking of the switch and connector is achieved in a preferred embodiment of the invention in that the projection protruding from the lower part or base of the switch is hollow and cylindrical in shape with a radial recess adjacent to the locking spring, and in that the switching or The axis of rotation of the switch protrudes into the cylindrical extension and, in the area of the lateral recess on the extension, has a lateral groove or flattening as a recess for the engagement of the blocking extension protruding from the locking spring in a certain switching position, in which the recess on the axis of rotation with the recess the cylindrical extension is brought to congruence.
A particularly secure locking between the switch and the connector is achieved in that the locking projection has a locking surface which engages behind the opposite locking lug and is directed outward at right angles by the locking spring.
The mechanical locking is also facilitated by the fact that the locking lug protruding laterally into the cutout on the switch or connector has an inclined surface which rises in the direction of insertion of the extension and on which the locking projection forms when the plug connection is made glides along until it engages with its locking surface behind the parallel stop surface on the locking lug. The locking lug advantageously has an inclined outer sliding surface with which it slides along the inclined surface of the locking lug when the plug connection is made.
An unproblematic and safe unlocking of the plug connection is also made possible in that the locking spring is formed at its free end with a lateral engagement surface for the tool or the screwdriver which projects beyond the locking shoulder. It is advantageous if the locking extension protrudes obliquely inwards from the free end of the locking spring at a distance from the locking shoulder to the opposite side of the locking spring.
Furthermore, the principle of this safety interlock can also be applied to switches with linear movement, such as slide, pressure or plunger switches, if the recess for the engagement of the locking extension opposite the locking projection on the locking spring on a linearly opposite the pin-shaped extension transverse to the longitudinal axis of the plug connection slidable part of the switch is formed.

In the exemplary embodiment of a mechanical interlock shown schematically in the drawing between an
With the
From the free end of the
As can be seen in the sectional views of FIGS. 1, 4a and 4b, the
The
The connection of the connector plug 2 to the base or
If the locking is to be released, the
Once this position has been reached, the
Instead of the
The principle of this safety interlock can be applied to switches with linear movement as well as with switches with rotary movement after corresponding adjustment, the

- Mechanical locking according to Claim 1, characterized in that the extension (5) projecting from the bottom part or base (4) of the switch (1) is internally hollow and cylindrical in form with a radial recess (6) adjacent to the locking spring (9) and in that the switching or rotary shaft (7) of the switch (1) projects into the cylindrical extension (5) and, in the region of the lateral recess (6) on the extension (5), possesses a lateral groove or flattening as a chase (8) for the engagement of the locking extension (17) projecting from the locking spring (9) in a defined switching position in which the chase (8) on the rotary shaft (7) is brought to coincidence with the recess (6) on the cylindrical extension (5).
- Mechanical locking according to either of Claims 1 or 2, characterized in that the locking projection (10) includes a locking face (11), directed outwards at right angles from the locking spring (9), which engages behind the opposing locking lug (13).
- Mechanical locking according to any one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the locking lug (13) which projects laterally into the recess (15) on the switch (1) or plug connector (2) includes an oblique face (16), ascending in the direction of insertion of the extension (5), along which the locking projection (10) slides in the making of the plug connection until its locking face (11) engages behind the parallel stop face (18) on the locking lug (13), effecting a lock.
- Mechanical locking according to any one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the locking projection (10) includes an outer oblique sliding face (12) by means of which it slides along the oblique face (16) of the locking lug (13) in the making of the plug connection.
- Mechanical locking according to any one of Claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the free end of the locking spring (9) is formed with a lateral application face (22) for the tool (21) or screwdriver projecting endwise over the locking projection (10).
- Mechanical locking according to any one of Claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the locking extension (17) projects obliquely inwards from the free end of the locking spring (9) at a distance from the locking projection (10) on the opposite side of the locking spring (9).
- Mechanical locking according to Claim 1, characterized in that the recess (6) for the engagement of the locking extension (17) opposite to the locking projection (10) on the locking spring (9) is formed on a part of the switch (1) capable of linear displacement across the longitudinal axis (2a) of the plug connection towards the peg-type extension (5).
