Description

The description relates to a zipper with woven straps and rows of fastener elements woven into them made of plastic monofilament, the fastener straps being made up of warp threads and adjacent double wefts of a continuous base weft thread, the fastener rows of each half of the fastener consisting of a continuous helix made of plastic monofilament fasteners produced during the weaving process Dome heads and adjoining legs, which are largely superimposed in a projection onto the zipper plane, and rear connecting parts are provided, the double wefts of the base weft threads being arranged in a projection onto the zipper plane under the fastener members and without covering the plastic monofilament between the fastener members and some of the warp threads of the carrier tapes as binding warp threads over the breech eder are guided, and wherein the double wefts between the fastener elements are drawn through at least one of the binding warp threads as a base weft support loop into the region of the upper legs of the fastener elements. The partial feature that the double wefts of the base weft threads are guided without covering the plastic monofilament expresses concretely that these double wefts do not leave the rear connecting parts, but omit them. As is known, such zippers can be produced with modern needle weaving machines at high weaving speeds, the needles entering the basic weft loading double wefts on the one hand and the closure members on the other hand as monofilament double wefts.

Zippers of the construction described above are known in various embodiments. It is also known (DE-C-3 347 067) to supply a second binding warp thread arrangement with at least one binding warp thread in such a way that the double wefts of the carrier tapes are covered between the fastener elements and the fastener elements with the double weft around them. Here, the binding warp threads underlie at least two fastener links in each period, one with the double weft underneath and one without the double weft underneath. The bending strength and the tearing strength of the composite of the rows of fastener elements and the carrying tapes at the ends of such a zipper in the region of the binding warp threads can be improved here.

In the case of zippers of the construction described at the beginning (DE-C-3 007 276, DE-C-3 022 032), it is also possible to work with different bindings and with different repeats in relation to the binding warp threads. The arrangement is always such that two fastener elements are arranged in a warp thread pocket. This has proven itself, but here too the bending stiffness with respect to the bends in the zipper plane and from the zipper plane can be improved. This also applies to the pick resistance.

The invention is based on the technical problem of improving the flexural strength but also the contact strength in the case of a zipper of the construction described at the beginning. According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, this also applies in relation to the so-called compensation behavior if two halves of a non-coupled zipper are warped by a small amount in the slider in connection with the sewing in, in order to then ensure the coupling ability by actuating the slider. Overall, the invention aims for improvements with regard to the reduction of the bending stiffness, the contact resistance as well as improvements with regard to the compensation behavior, without impairing the transverse tensile strength and the buckling strength.

To solve this technical problem, the subject of the invention is a zip fastener with woven carrier tapes and rows of fastener links woven from plastic monofilament, the fastener tapes being constructed from warp threads and adjacent double wefts of a continuous base weft thread, the fastener rows of each half of the zip fastener consisting of a continuous helix produced during the weaving process Plastic monofilament double weft fastener members made of dome heads and adjoining legs, which are largely superimposed in a projection onto the zipper plane and rear connecting parts are provided, the double wefts of the base weft threads being arranged in a projection onto the zipper plane under the fastener members and without covering the plastic monofilament between the fastener members and some of the warp threads on the fastener tapes are guided as binding warp threads over the fastener links, the double wefts between the fastener links being drawn through at least one of the binding warp threads as a base weft thread support loop into the region of the upper legs of the fastener links and the combination of the following features being established:
  • a) A first binding warp thread arrangement with a plurality of binding warp threads is guided so that these binding warp threads always engage under the double wefts of the carrier tapes drawn between the fastener elements up to the area of the upper limbs of the fastener elements and include at least two fastener elements and only one fastener element after the fastener elements covered , with the double shot underneath,
  • b) a second binding warp thread arrangement with at least one binding warp thread is guided in such a way that the double wefts of the carrier tapes are covered between the fastener elements and the fastener elements with the double weft underneath,
the arrangement being such that the fastener members enclosed by a binding warp thread of the first binding warp thread arrangement together with the double weft underneath are also covered by a binding warp thread of the second binding warp thread arrangement.

The invention is based on the knowledge that it is essential for the solution of the problem that the features a) and b) are simultaneously realized in the zipper of the structure described at the beginning with closure members designed as plastic monofilament double wefts. The combination as a whole leads to the individual closure members, i.e. the corresponding monofilament double wefts are arranged in a binding warp thread pocket. If the connection of the rows of fastener links is figuratively regarded as a chain (one also speaks of the zip fastener chain in this sense), then according to the invention the number of chain links is quasi doubled compared to the known embodiments with two fastener links in a binding warp thread pocket. This reduces the bending stiffness. Surprisingly, the transverse tensile strength and the buckling strength are not impaired.

In the case of a zipper, which although it has woven straps and woven rows of fastener elements made of plastic monofilament, is otherwise of a different type, it is known (DE 28 55 370 C2) to guide binding warp threads similar to the one indicated above, but without the binding warp threads of the first binding warp thread arrangement following the covered closure members, a closure member with the Underneath the double weft of the base weft threads. This known zipper is of a different kind because the rows of fastener members are not designed as plastic monofilament double wefts and as such are produced during a weaving process with one or two special weft insertion needles. Rather, the rows of fastener elements are helically shaped with the help of a textile-technical machine arranged in the weaving machine, namely with the aid of a winding machine with a winding mandrel, and are only woven into the shed as a turn of a helical coil. It is expensive. The known way of integrating the rows of fastener elements in these zippers does not contribute to increasing the flexural strength, which is rather determined by a filler thread, and also does not improve the pick-up strength. The double wefts of the base weft threads, which cover the rear connecting parts, come into contact with the flanks of the zipper slide and wear prematurely.

It goes without saying that the binding must be set up accordingly, specifically with regard to the structure, but also with regard to the tension of the binding warp threads. This manifests itself in the finished zipper, among other things, by the binding warp thread running-in ratio. The binding warp thread running-in ratio is understood to mean the ratio of the length of a binding warp thread that has not been bound to the length of the so-called zipper chain from which the zipper according to the invention is produced. In this context, a preferred embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the binding warp threads of the first binding warp thread arrangement are arranged with a binding warp thread running-in ratio in the range from 1.25: 1 to 1.35: 1. An embodiment has proven itself in which the binding warp threads of the first binding warp thread arrangement are arranged with a binding warp thread running-in ratio in the range from 1.28: 1 to 1.32: 1. Accordingly, the invention teaches that at least a binding warp thread of the second binding warp thread arrangement is arranged with a binding warp thread running-in ratio in the range from 2.50 to 3.50. Here, an embodiment has proven itself in which at least one binding warp thread of the second binding warp thread arrangement is arranged with a binding warp thread running-in ratio in the range from 2.80 to 3.20. The running-in conditions apply to zippers with rows of fastener elements made of monofilament with a thickness of 0.48 to 0.50 mm and associated fastener rows with a thickness of 1.1 to 1.4 mm. If higher monofilament thicknesses are used, the absolute shrinkage values increase.

Bewährt hat sich hier ein Bindekettfaden-Einlaufverhältnis von 1,14 bis 1,18.In order to improve the compensation ratio described at the outset in a zipper according to the invention, the subject of the invention is a further combination with the combination features described above, namely
  • c) a third binding warp thread arrangement with at least one binding warp thread is guided in such a way that the double wefts of the carrying tapes between the fastener elements, which are pulled up as a base weft thread support loop, are underpinned, but the fastener elements are covered,
wherein the first and the second binding warp thread arrangement are arranged near the rear connecting parts, the third binding warp thread arrangement is arranged near the coupling heads. In this context, it is advisable to arrange such that the at least one binding warp thread of the third binding warp thread arrangement is arranged with a binding warp thread running-in ratio in the range from 1.10 to 1.20. A binding warp thread running-in ratio of 1.14 to 1.18 has proven itself here.

There are several options for further training and design within the scope of the invention. Thus, according to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the first binding warp thread arrangement has three binding warp threads, each offset from one another by two weft entries. According to another preferred embodiment of the invention, the first binding warp thread arrangement has four binding warp threads, each of which is offset from one another by two weft entries. The first binding warp thread arrangement is expediently guided in the repeat high / deep / high / deep / deep / deep or in the repeat high / deep / high / deep / deep / deep / high / deep such that two or three fastener elements are covered. The second binding warp thread arrangement is expediently guided low / high in the repeat, the third in the repeat high / low. It is within the scope of the invention to arrange the binding warp threads of the first and / or second and / or third binding warp thread arrangement several times next to one another on the legs of the fastener elements. It is within the scope of the invention to arrange at least one further binding warp thread designed as a standing thread between the closure members and the double wefts of the base weft threads arranged underneath.

An embodiment of a zipper according to the invention has proven particularly useful, in which the carrier tapes consist of polyester threads and the monofilaments of the fastener elements consist of a polyamide material, preferably PA 6.6, or of polyester-butylene terephthalate.

The zipper shown in the figures is a zipper with woven carrying straps 1 and with rows of fastener elements 2 made of plastic monofilament woven into it. The carrier tapes 1 consist of warp threads 3 and adjacent double wefts 4 of a continuous base weft thread. The rows of fastener elements 2 of each half of the zip fastener consist of a continuous helix, produced during the weaving process, with fastener elements 5 made of coupling heads 6 and adjoining legs 7, which are largely superimposed in a projection onto the zip fastener plane. In addition, rear connecting parts 8 are provided.

The arrangement is such that the double wefts 4 are arranged in a projection onto the zipper plane below the fastener elements 5 and between the fastener elements 5 and some of the warp threads 3 of the carrier tapes are guided over the fastener elements 5 as binding warp threads. The double wefts 4 between the closure members 5 are pulled through at least one of the warp threads 3 as a base weft support loop into the region of the upper legs 7 of the closure members 5.

31, 32, 33, 34 der ersten Bindekettfadenanordnung zusammen mit dem darunterliegenden Doppelschuß 4 unterfaßten Verschlußglieder 5 auch von dem zunächst einem Bindekettfaden 35 der zweiten Bindekettfadenanordnung unterfaßt sind.1 and 3 or 1 and 4, it can be seen that a first binding warp thread arrangement with a plurality of binding warp threads 31, 32, 33 or 31, 32, 33, 34 is guided such that these binding warp threads are the double wefts 4 of the Always grasp under the carrying straps 1 and cover at least two closure members 5 and then enclose a closure member 5 with the double weft 4 underneath. In addition, a second binding warp thread arrangement with at least one binding warp thread 35 is guided such that the double shots 4 of the carrier tapes 1 between the shutter members 5 and the shutter members 5 with the double shot 4 underneath are covered. The overall arrangement is such that the fastener elements 5, which are covered by a binding warp thread 31, 32, 33 or 31, 32, 33, 34 of the first binding warp thread arrangement together with the double weft 4 underneath, are also covered by the binding warp thread 35 of the second binding warp thread arrangement .

The binding warp thread running-in ratio is of particular importance in the context of the invention. This is defined as the ratio of the length of a non-bound binding warp thread 3 to the length of the so-called zipper chain, from which the zipper according to the invention is made and which consists of the carrier tapes 1 and the rows of fastener links 2. The binding warp thread running-in ratio is sufficiently recognizable in the figures, specifically in relation to the binding warp threads 31, 32, 33 and 31, 32, 33, 34 of the first binding warp thread arrangement in the range from 1.25: 1 to 1.35: 1. In contrast, the at least one binding warp thread 35 of the second binding warp thread arrangement is arranged with a binding warp thread running-in ratio in the range from 2.50 to 3.50.

Hier liegt das Bindekettfaden-Einlaufverhältnis im Bereich von 1,10 bis 1,20.The exemplary embodiments relate to the embodiment in which the compensation behavior explained at the outset is also optimized. One recognizes a third binding warp thread arrangement with at least one binding warp thread 36, which is guided in such a way that the double wefts 4 of the carrier tapes 1 between the fastener elements 5, which are pulled up as a base weft support loop, underpins the Closure members 5 but are covered. Otherwise, the arrangement is such that the first and the second binding warp thread arrangement with the binding warp threads 31 to 35 near the rear connecting parts 8, the third binding warp thread arrangement with the at least one binding warp thread 36 are arranged near the coupling heads 6. Here the binding warp thread running-in ratio is in the range from 1.10 to 1.20.

In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 4, the first binding warp thread arrangement has three binding warp threads 31, 32, 33 which are each offset from one another by two weft entries. In a further embodiment, it can be seen in FIG. 3 that the first binding warp thread arrangement has four binding warp threads 31, 32, 33, 34, which are each offset by two weft entries. For the first binding warp thread arrangement, the repeat of claim 11 applies, which is easily understood in FIGS. 3 and 4. For the second binding warp thread arrangement, the repeat low / high applies in the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 1, 2 and 3. Another exemplary embodiment of the second binding warp thread arrangement (35) is shown in FIG. 4. Here, two binding warp threads (35) are offset by two weft entries and in the repeat high / high / low / high, the repeat high / low applies to the third binding warp thread arrangement. In this respect, the repeat high / high / low / high is also possible. It is within the scope of the invention to arrange the binding warp threads 31 to 36 of the first and / or second and / or third binding warp thread arrangement on the legs 7 of the fastener elements 5 several times next to one another.

Fig. 6 deutet außerdem an, daß die Bindekettfädenanordnungen in bezug auf die Anzahl und Position variiert werden können.3, 5 and 6 it can be seen that binding warp threads guided as standing threads 37 and running between the closure members 5 and the double wefts 4 are additionally arranged. Figure 6 also indicates that the binder warp thread arrangements can be varied in number and position.
