Claims (6)

  1. Connector screening device comprising two members (1, 12) adapted to be connected together by means of a plurality of parallel pins (4), said pins (4) being connected or connectable to electrical contacts forming part of a printed circuit carried by a board, the connection between the two members (1, 12) being effected by moving a first face of a first member (1) towards a second face of the other member (12), said connector being provided with a locking mechanism including a metal member (6) mounted on said first member (1), said member (6) forming a belt surrounding the faces of said member (1) perpendicular to its face intended to be moved towards the other member (12) to connect the two members (1, 12) together, and being provided with hooked members (9) perpendicular to two edges of said first face extending outwardly of the member (1), said hooked members (9) co-operating to lock the two members (1, 12) with hooking members (10) attached to the second member (12), characterised in that the lateral walls of said metal member (6), mounted on the first member (1), face said pins (4) along all of their length and in that it is provided with at least one resilient electrical contact member (13) adapted to make contact with a screening track forming part of said printed circuit, the second member (12) of the connector being also surrounded by an electrically conductive material belt (11) and said hooking members (10) being adapted to make an electrical connection between the latter belt (11) and said metal member (6) mounted on the first member (1) when the two members (1, 12) are locked together.
  2. Device according to claim 1 characterised in that said metal member (6) is mounted on the first member (1) so that it can move relative to it in a direction parallel to said edges, being spring-loaded into a fixed position by a spring member (8), and in that said hooking members (10) are fixed relative to the second member (12).
  3. Device according to claim 2 characterised in that said hooking members (10) are an integral part of a metal member (11) constituting said belt surrounding said second member (12).
  4. Device according to claim 1 characterised in that said mechanical member (6) mounted on the first member (1) is fixed to the latter, said hooking members (10) cooperating with the hooked members (9) of said metal member (6) being carried by another metal member mounted on the second member (12) so that they can move relative to the latter, being spring-loaded into a fixed position by a spring member, said other metal member constituting said belt surrounding the second member.
  5. Device according to any one of claims 1 to 4 characterised in that a plurality of elastic electrical contact members are cut out from an attached wall (17) that constitutes said extension of said metal member (6) mounted on the first member (1).
  6. Device according to claim 5 characterised in that said attached wall (17) is welded to said metal member (6).
