Claims (4)
- A feed device for a cutting machine for the cutting of food products, in particular cheese, sausage and the like, wherein the product (1) which is to be cut lies on a roller conveyor (2) of the cutting machine and is held at its rear end by a claw (11), forming a part of the feed device, that is driven in the feed direction (3) and guides the product (1) into the cutting zone of a circular blade (4) of the cutting machine, characterised in that the feed device for the product (1) also comprises at least one feed roller (33) which engages with a force- and form-fit on the underside of the product (1) and is coupled to the drive of the claw (11) and thereby driven in rotation as a function of the feed path of the claw (11), wherein the feed roller (33) is arranged in the intermediate space between the end of the roller conveyor (2) and the circular blade (4) and projects above the roller plane, and the outer circumference of the feed roller (33) is provided with a toothing (35) which consists of ribs arranged uniformly distributed on the circumference, the longitudinal axis of which ribs extends perpendicularly to the feed direction (3).
- A feed drive according to Claim 1, characterised in that the rotary drive of the feed roller (33) is coupled with a form-fit with the feed drive of the claw (11).
- A feed drive according to Claim 2, characterised in that the form-fit coupling of the rotary drive of the feed roller (33) with the feed drive of the claw (11) consists of a revolving, endless toothed belt (25) which at one end loops around a drive wheel (29) connected with the feed roller (33) and at the other end is guided over a return pulley (27) mounted rotatably on the housing of the cutting machine, wherein a claw rail (21) connected with the claw (11) and driven with the latter in the feed direction (3) is connected with the upper strand of the toothed belt (25) by a clamp (26).
- A feed drive according to Claim 1, characterised in that the feed roller (33) has its own drive, which is synchronised with the feed drive of the claw (11).
