Definitions
- the invention relates to a hanging loop damper according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
- Printing pastes used for printing on textiles are provided with an additive of urea which, when steamed, acts as a solvent and transport agent for the dyes and reduces the requirements for the uniformity of the damper atmosphere.
- the urea causes a high nitrogen content in the wastewater of the washing machines for washing the fixed goods. To avoid this environmental impact, it is desirable to avoid using urea whenever possible.
- the spray compartments were influenced by defined openings in front of the rotors so that they joined together seamlessly.
- the droplet size was 0.03 mm.
- an optimum fixation was found at about 30% initial moisture in the absence of urea, based on the weight of the dry and printed goods.
- Uniform moistening requires a very exact setting of the spray compartments, which is problematic in practice. Longitudinal stripes can result from over or under humidification. When goods are at a standstill, transverse, over-moistened strips on the web can hardly be avoided. There are also difficulties in transporting the moistened goods into the damper. In the case of strongly exothermic substances, e.g. With kupen etching prints, the moistening before the damper inlet leads to harmful overheating of the goods due to the premature exothermic reaction of the reducing agents.
- the invention is therefore based on the object to avoid the disadvantages indicated in a hanging loop damper according to the preamble of claim 1 and in particular to integrate the humidification device in the damper and to design and arrange so that a completely uniform humidification is guaranteed and even with strong Exothermic fibers and reducing agents prevent overheating.
- the nozzle jets aim into the upper area of this free space without directly reaching the web. Rather, an extensive droplet mist is formed, from which fine droplets sink onto the goods as if from a cloud.
- the relatively large distance at which the nozzles are arranged above the feed roller contributes significantly to the homogenization. It is advantageous that the goods still move relatively quickly in this area. Smaller droplets evaporate on the way down and cool the steam room. Experience has shown that this has a positive effect on the fixing effect.
- the two-substance nozzles provided according to claim 2 enable a relatively large range with an average drop size of approximately 0.03 mm.
- Figure 1 shows the loop formation zone and part of the actual treatment zone of a hanging loop damper according to the invention.
- Figure 2 shows a view of the inlet end wall (seen from the inside of the dryer) and a circuit diagram for the loading of the nozzles.
- a feed roller 2 In the vicinity of the end wall 1 of a hanging loop damper, a feed roller 2 is arranged approximately halfway up for the web 3 entering from below. In order to avoid winders, a plurality of endless belts 4 distributed over the width are provided, which wrap around the feed roller 2 and a roller 5 arranged obliquely underneath.
- an endless chain 6, to which support rods 7 are attached at regular intervals, is guided in the loop formation zone 8 via deflection wheels 9, 10, 11, 12.
- the ends of the support rods 7 are guided in horizontal rails, not shown, so that the support rods 7, lying next to each other at short intervals, in the longitudinal direction symbolized by the arrow 14 of the hanging loop damper.
- the chain 6, like the material web, forms a hairpin-shaped loop between each two adjacent support rods 7. In this respect, the hanging loop damper is fully state of the art.
- two transverse, vertically offset rows of nozzles 16 are arranged at a distance above the feed roller 2, in the vicinity of the housing cover 15, which are designed as two-component flat jet nozzles and are oriented such that the spray compartments emerging are horizontal or light Spread levels inclined in the spray direction.
- the nozzles 16 of the two rows are arranged laterally offset from one another.
- the spray compartments of the nozzles 16 extend in operation up to approximately the vertical plane in which the axis of the deflection wheel 11 lies, which is adjacent to the feed roller 2. However, they do not extend to the forming web loop. They cover the path that a point on the incoming web travels in about 30 seconds.
- the distances a between adjacent nozzles 16 are dimensioned such that their spray compartments overlap widely. E.g. With a range of around 1 m, the distance a is advantageously between 30 and 40 cm. An opening angle (seen from above) of the spray fan between 50 and 60 degrees is required.
- Each nozzle 16 is connected to a water pipe 19 and a steam pipe 20 by branch pipes 17, 18.
- the amount of moisture introduced is set to the empirically determined optimal value.
- a pre-pressure regulator 21, a needle valve 22 and a precision measuring manometer 23 are provided.
- the water is passed through a fine filter 24.
- a solenoid valve 25 is closed and at the same time a second solenoid valve 26 in a secondary outlet 27 is opened. This prevents overwetting of the goods and, in particular, dripping of the nozzles 16.
- the atomized steam is freed of entrained condensate in a steam dryer 28, brought to a constant admission pressure in a pressure regulator 29, cleaned in a fine filter 30 and adjusted to the exact operating pressure by means of a needle valve 31 according to a precision measuring manometer 32.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a hanging loop damper according to the preamble of
Printing pastes used for printing on textiles are provided with an additive of urea which, when steamed, acts as a solvent and transport agent for the dyes and reduces the requirements for the uniformity of the damper atmosphere. The urea causes a high nitrogen content in the wastewater of the washing machines for washing the fixed goods. To avoid this environmental impact, it is desirable to avoid using urea whenever possible.
In DE-Z Textilveredelung 25 (1990), No. 11, pages 373-381, attempts have recently been reported in which urea-free prints have been successfully fixed on viscose. In these investigations, the web was moistened uniformly with a precisely metered amount of water by means of a spray bar which was arranged in front of the inlet of a hanging loop damper of a known type. The spray bar was equipped with high-speed rotors, which were arranged on two levels next to each other. The water was atomized by centrifugal force, so that it hit the product web in the form of horizontally directed, fan-shaped spray mist, which was guided vertically at a short distance from the spray bar.
The spray compartments were influenced by defined openings in front of the rotors so that they joined together seamlessly. The droplet size was 0.03 mm. In the case of the usual reactive dye types, an optimum fixation was found at about 30% initial moisture in the absence of urea, based on the weight of the dry and printed goods.
Uniform moistening requires a very exact setting of the spray compartments, which is problematic in practice. Longitudinal stripes can result from over or under humidification. When goods are at a standstill, transverse, over-moistened strips on the web can hardly be avoided. There are also difficulties in transporting the moistened goods into the damper. In the case of strongly exothermic substances, e.g. With Küpen etching prints, the moistening before the damper inlet leads to harmful overheating of the goods due to the premature exothermic reaction of the reducing agents.
The invention is therefore based on the object to avoid the disadvantages indicated in a hanging loop damper according to the preamble of
This object is achieved by the features specified in the characterizing part of
In the hanging loop damper according to the invention, the nozzle jets aim into the upper area of this free space without directly reaching the web. Rather, an extensive droplet mist is formed, from which fine droplets sink onto the goods as if from a cloud. The relatively large distance at which the nozzles are arranged above the feed roller contributes significantly to the homogenization. It is advantageous that the goods still move relatively quickly in this area. Smaller droplets evaporate on the way down and cool the steam room. Experience has shown that this has a positive effect on the fixing effect.
The two-substance nozzles provided according to

Due to the feature of claim 6, condensation is avoided in the steam line and the water supplied is preheated evenly.
The drawing serves to explain the invention with reference to an embodiment shown in simplified form.
Figure 1 shows the loop formation zone and part of the actual treatment zone of a hanging loop damper according to the invention.
Figure 2 shows a view of the inlet end wall (seen from the inside of the dryer) and a circuit diagram for the loading of the nozzles.
In the vicinity of the
On the inlet-
The spray compartments of the

By regulating the water pressure, the amount of moisture introduced is set to the empirically determined optimal value.
