Description

Technisches GebietTechnical field

The invention relates to a loudspeaker arrangement, in particular a tweeter arrangement as used in motor vehicles.

Stand der TechnikState of the art

For good sound reproduction, it is known not to transmit the frequency band to be transmitted by means of a loudspeaker, but rather by means of a plurality of loudspeakers. However, the frequency band to be transmitted is not equally transmitted by all loudspeakers. Rather, it is common to emit, for example, the high-frequency tones, the tones of the middle frequencies and the low tones through different loudspeakers adapted to the respective transmission purpose. So that the high-frequency tones from the tweeters and the low tones from the woofers are emitted, so-called crossovers are interposed between the amplifier output and the speaker. How these crossovers work does not need any further explanation given the fluency of these components.

If, for example, you connect a tweeter, midrange and woofer to a speaker concept, it can happen that a speaker constructed in this way does not sound, despite the optimal speaker configuration. Such phenomena can be improved within certain limits by using equalizers. There is no need to go into detail on how the equalizers work, since their mode of operation is also well known.

The coordination of a box concept can be described as relatively easy if it is necessary to design this box concept for a large, geometrically very regular room - hereinafter referred to as the room concept.

However, if a box concept is to be designed for the interior of a motor vehicle, the optimization process is considerably more difficult than the mere optimization process in a room concept. This is mainly because the size of the interior of a motor vehicle is quite small and, moreover, the presence of seats and upholstery exerts a strong damping effect. Because of the limited space available in motor vehicles for installing loudspeakers or entire loudspeaker boxes, in many cases the loudspeakers, which are to take over the transmission of a stereo channel, for example, are not arranged in close proximity to one another, but rather at different installation locations in the vehicle. As already indicated with the room concepts, the vehicle sound system is also optimized through the use of equalizers, although this type of optimization does not achieve the sound quality that prevails with so-called room concepts.

Since an optimization of the sound system in the interior of a motor vehicle cannot be achieved or can only be achieved to a very limited extent even through the use of so-called equalizers, concepts are presented which are limited to sound optimization based on a specific position in the vehicle - for example the driver's seat . However, these arrangements have the disadvantage that, by optimizing the sound system at one location inside the vehicle, the sound system in the other locations is inevitably deteriorated.

The invention is therefore based on the object of specifying a loudspeaker arrangement which does not have the above disadvantages and which, at least for the high-frequency range, shows an improved spatial sound reproduction which is also largely independent of the seating position in the vehicle.

Darstellung der ErfindungPresentation of the invention

This object is achieved in that the housing part has an approximately funnel-shaped depression, the top surface and its - compared to the top surface smaller - bottom surface is approximately semicircular and the approximately equally long partial straight line, each of which the ends of an arc of a head or a Connect the floor surface to each other, run at such an angle to each other that a partial straight line includes at least an angle α of <180 ° measured to the inside of the recess, and that a tweeter in one flat jacket segment of the recess and the other tweeter in the other flat jacket segment the recess is arranged, both tweeters their sound pressure in the direction of Radiate a plan view of the segment of the recess in the shape of an arc of a circle and concavely curved in the lateral section, and enclose the center axes of the two tweeters an angle β, the angle β = 180 ° - α.

According to the applicant's knowledge, the good sound reproduction properties achieved by means of the inventive loudspeaker arrangement affect the fact that when the loudspeaker arrangement according to the invention is installed in the left and right half of the dashboard of a motor vehicle, the radiation of the sound is not broken through the windshield of the motor vehicle , but is directed directly to the driver and front passenger position. The extensive independence from the seating position is due to the fact that the angular arrangement of the two tweeters to each other and the approximately circular curvature of the housing part ensures that the sound in the vehicle is largely standardized in the high-frequency range. If the loudspeaker arrangements according to the invention are combined with one another in the vehicle as mentioned above, this has the further advantage that tonal improvements in the high frequency range are achieved which cannot be achieved by equalizing.

Advantageous further developments of the invention are specified in claims 2 to 5. It has proven to be particularly advantageous that if the angle β is approximately 30 °, this is a value which provides optimum high-frequency reproduction for a large number of vehicles. The same also applies to the inclination of the cladding segments in which the tweeters are used. However, this does not mean that the degrees just discussed refer to this Values are limited. Rather, the specified bandwidths can be fully used.

Wege zum Ausführen der ErfindungWays of Carrying Out the Invention

The invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to the figures. The loudspeaker arrangement 1 according to the invention essentially consists of a housing part 2. This housing part 2, which has a round outer contour, has in the middle an approximately funnel-shaped depression 4, whose approximately semicircular head surface 5 and its likewise semicircular base surface, which is smaller in comparison to the head surface 5 are designed so that two equally long partial lines 7.1, 7.2, which the ends 8 of the arc of a head or a bottom surface 5; 6 connect with each other, enclose an angle α to the inside of the recess 4. The tweeters 3.1 and 3.2 are inserted into the flat shell segments 9.1 and 9.2 of the recess 4.

The tweeters 3.1, 3.2 used here are so-called dome tweeters, which, as the figure shows, are additionally provided with sound diffusers. These casing segments 9.1 and 9.2 are angled by approximately 30 ° with respect to the horizontal bottom surface 6, as illustrated in FIG. 3. The angle β, with which the center lines of the two tweeters 3.1 and 3.2 converge, is approximately 30 ° in FIG. 1, so that the angle α, which the converging partial line pairs 7.1 and 7.2 enclose, is 150 °.

The concave design of the jacket segment 9.3 of the recess 4 can be clearly seen in FIG. 3. This figure 3 also shows that the jacket segments 9.1 and 9.2, in which the tweeters are inserted, are flat.

The perspective illustration of the loudspeaker arrangement according to the invention shown in FIG. 2 further clarifies that the transitions 10.1, at which the ends 8 of the arc-shaped jacket segment 9.3 abut the flat jacket segments 9.1 and 9.2, and the transition 10.2 between the two flat jacket segments 9.1 and 9.2 are rounded are trained. This rounded design has the advantage that it further improves the sound quality of the loudspeaker arrangement according to the invention.

The symmetrical arrangement of the two tweeters 3.1 and 3.2 relative to one another selected in the exemplary embodiment shown here is not essential to the invention. Just as well, the loudspeaker 9.1 can form an angle of, for example, only 10 ° to the section line AA in FIG. 1 take, while the other speaker 9.2 has a 20 °. This configuration of the loudspeaker arrangement 1 allows the sound quality in the high-frequency range to be increased even further, since the sound reproduction can be adapted to the respective vehicle or optimized for this vehicle type by a special angling of the two high-frequency loudspeakers 3.1, 3.2. However, it must be noted that for the stereophonic reproduction of sounds in the motor vehicle, a separate housing part, which has the specific angle values, is required for each side of the dashboard. This increases tool costs considerably.

Furthermore, it should be noted that the recess 4 of the housing part 2 can of course be covered by a corresponding grid when installed in motor vehicles.
