Der Block (6) wird dann soweit transportiert, bis er in voller Länge oberhalb der Kühlplatte (20̸) steht. Dann wird das Umlauffördermittel (27) wieder angehalten. Hierfür kann ein entsprechender Sensor im Bereich der Kühlplatte (20̸) vorgesehen sein, der mit der Steuereinrichtung verbunden ist und über den der Elektromotor (30̸) abgeschaltet wird. Nach ausreichender Zeit kann der sich über der Kühlplatte (20) befindende Block (6) herausgenommen werden. Auf diese Weise wird verhindert, daß das Umlauffördermittel (27) den sich über der Kühlplatte (20̸) befindenden Block (6) aus dem Gerätegestell (3) herausbefördert. Eine solche Schutzschaltung ist selbstverständlich dann nicht erforderlich, wenn sich an das Bürobindegerät (2) eine Stapeleinrichtung mit ausreichendem Stapelvolumen anschließt. Dabei kann eine logische Schaltung vorgesehen sein, die dafür sorgt, daß bei einem Transportvorgang der Abstand der Stützwandungen im Bereich der Kühlplatte (20̸) automatisch an den Abstand der Stützwandungen (12, 13) im Bereich der Heizplatte (19) angepaßt wird.The two support walls (12, 13) are continuous in the exemplary embodiments shown. Sie sorgen dafür, daß die unteren Kanten der Blätter (8) besser in den plazifizierten Schmelzklebstoff einsinken. Die zusätzliche Anordnung einer solchen Rüttelplatte hat den Vorteil, daß innerhalb des Bindegerätes (2) mindestens drei Blöcke (6) gleichzeitig verarbeitet werden können. Entsprechende Steuereinrichtungen können dafür sorgen, daß die Rüttelplatte in Gang gesetzt wird, sobald ein dort vorhandener Sensor einen Block (6) erfaßt.Furthermore, the binding device (2) can also be modified in that a vibrating plate is provided between the heating plate (19) and cooling plate (20̸), of course after a corresponding increase in the distance between the heating plate (19) and cooling plate (20̸). Claims (24)

  1. Office binding machine (1) for binding loose sheets (8), which are put in covers (9) into bound documents, the covers (9) being provided on the inner face of their spine (10̸) with a thermoplastic adhesive, comprising a machine frame (3) which to form an aligning pocket (11)for the covers (9) with the loose sheets put therein incorporates two spaced apart support devices (12, 13) which are fixed to the machine but have distance from one another which can be varied, the lower face of the aligning pocket (11) incorporating a heating device (19), and also comprising a cooling device (20̸),
    characterized in that the aligning pocket (11) is extended to at least one side and the cooling device (20̸) is accommodated in this extension, and that a conveying means (27) with rotary drive (30̸) is provided for entrainment of units of covers (9) and sheets (11) loosely put therein placed in the aligning pocket (11) from the heating device (19) to the cooling device (20̸).
  2. Office binding machine according to claim 1,
    characterized in that the cooling device incorporates a cooling plate (20̸).
  3. Office binding machine according to claim 2,
    characterized in that the cooling plate (20̸) is a plate vibrator with a vibrating device.
  4. Office binding machine according to claim 1,
    characterized in that between the heating device (19) and the cooling device (20̸) there is provided a plate vibrator with vibrating device.
  5. Office binding machine according to any of claims 2 to 4,
    characterized in that the vibrating device is a swivelling device for swivelling the plate vibrator about an axis parallel to the direction of transport.
  6. Office binding machine according to any of claims 1 to 5,
    characterized in that the cooling device (20̸) is equipped with a cooling fan (21) which directs air onto the spine of the covers (9).
  7. Office binding machine according to claim 6,
    characterized in that the cooling device is equipped with a cooling plate (20̸) having through-holes for upwardly blowing cooling air through.
  8. Office binding machine according to any of claims 1 to 7,
    characterized in that the heating device incorporates a heating plate (19) with a heating element.
  9. Office binding machine according to any of claims 1 to 7,
    characterized in that the heating device is an infra-red radiator.
  10. Office binding machine according to any of claims 1 to 9,
    characterized in that the conveying means incorporates a conveyor belt which runs above the heating device and cooling device (19, 20̸).
  11. Office binding machine according to claim 10̸,
    characterized in that the conveyor belt incorporates perforations.
  12. Office binding machine according to claim 11,
    characterized in that the conveyor belt is a link belt.
  13. Office binding machine according to any of claims 10̸ to 12,
    characterized in that in the aligning pocket (11) the conveyor belt rests on a continuous support surface (23, 24, 25).
  14. Office binding machine according to any of claims 1 to 9,
    characterized in that the conveying means (27) is constructed from two parallel-circulating peripheral belts (33, 34) having entrainment members (35) for the covers (9) and a continuous support surface (23, 24, 25) is provided in the aligning pocket (11).
  15. Office binding machine according to any of claims 1 to 14,
    characterized in that there are provided a control device for controlling the power supply for the rotary drive (30̸) and linked thereto a clock timer which switches on the rotary device (30̸) when the aligned covers (9) have been exposed to the heating device (19) for a certain time, namely until the covers (9) are in the region of the cooling device (20̸), or if appropriate the plate vibrator.
  16. Office binding machine according to claim 15,
    characterized in that the control device incorporates a circuit such that the heating device (19) cuts out when the rotary drive (30̸) cuts in or the power supply is reduced.
  17. Office binding machine according to claim 15 or 16,
    characterized in that the control device is equipped with a sensor for detecting the covers (9) in the region of the heating device (19), via which sensor the heating device (19) cuts in or is brought to full power upon alignment of a cover (9).
  18. Office binding machine according the any of claims 15 to 17,
    characterized in that to detect the temperature of the heating device (19) there is provided a temperature sensor which is linked via an electronic circuit to the clock timer in such a way that said sensor only switches on the clock timer when the heating device (19) is a a certain temperature.
  19. Office binding machine according to any of claims 15 to 18,
    characterized in that the control device is equipped with a sensor to detect the cover (9) in the region of the cooling device (20̸), via which sensor the rotary drive is immobilised for as long as there are covers (9) in the final section of the cooling device (20̸).
  20. Office binding machine according to claim 19,
    characterized in that the control device incorporates an alarm device which is activated if there are covers in the final section of the cooling device for a certain time.
  21. Office binding machine according to claim 19 or 20̸,
    characterized in that the control device switches on the cooling fan (21) and/or the vibrating device as soon as the sensor detects a cover (9).
  22. Office binding machine according to any of claims 15 to 21,
    characterized in that the heating device (19), the cooling device (20̸) and, if appropriate, the plate vibrator incorporate separate support devices with drive means for independent spacing adjustment, there being provided a spacing controller which activates the drive means in such a way that upon actuation of the rotary drive (30̸) the spacing of whichever device is next in the direction of transport is adapted to the spacing previously adapted by the particular support device immediately preceding it.
  23. Office binding machine according to any of claims 1 to 22,
    characterized in that the aligning pocket (11) and the conveying means (27) are extended on the free side of the heating device and/or of the cooling device (20̸).
  24. Office binding machine according to any of claims 1 to 23,
    characterized in that following the cooling device is mounted a stapling device.
