Definitions
- the invention relates to a pan mill for ceramic masses, in particular brick clay.
- a typical example of such a pan mill can be found in DE-PS 20 10 735.
- This pan mill has a horizontal, circular disk-shaped grinding track surface, which rests on a runner bed with through openings, an inner and an outer runner that rotates in the circumferential direction of the grinding track surface on this, a vertical vertical shaft that drives the runner centrally, in the direction of movement of the runner, scrapers driven by the vertical shaft, a material feed continuously applying the regrind to the grinding track surface and a collecting plate arranged under the grinding track surface for discharging the regrind.
- the object of the present invention is therefore to design a pan mill with a drive of the vertical shaft from above, that the same advantages of a high material throughput can be achieved with a comparatively low expenditure of energy as with the aforementioned pan millers with drive from below.
- the solution to this problem results from patent claim 1.
- the pan mill has a cantilevered rotor bed 10 which is penetrated by a vertical vertical shaft 12 which is rotatably supported at its lower end via a collecting plate 13 in a bearing 11 and at its upper end via a gear 14, a shaft 15 and a pulley 16 is driven by the drive belt, not shown, of a motor, also not shown.
- a crossbeam 17, which spans the pan mill, contains or carries the gear 14, the shaft 15 and the pulley 16.
- An annular side wall 17 projects vertically upward from the outer circumference of the rotor bed 10.
- a grinding track surface 10a On the surface of the runner bed 10, there is a grinding track surface 10a, on which two runners run, namely an inner runner 18 and an outer runner 19, which are usually mounted vertically displaceably on the vertical shaft 12 via cross arms and are driven by the latter. Furthermore, the scraper arrangements are fastened to the vertical shaft 12, namely a scraper 21 trailing the inner rotor 18 in the direction of rotation thereof.
- an inlet annular disc 22 is fastened to the vertical shaft 12, namely coaxially and at a distance to this.
- the ring disk 22 is fastened by means of three webs 22a protruding symmetrically from the vertical shaft 12 (FIG. 3).
- This washer 22 is supplied with material from a stationary feed belt 23, which is held, for example, on the cross member 17.
- a stripper 24 is fastened to the crossmember 17, which is thus stationary and, when the annular disc 22 rotates with the vertical shaft 12, moves approximately smoothly over its surface.
- This surface of the ring disk 22, which is swept by the scraper 24, is conical, that is to say the ring disk 22 drops conically downward from its outer edge to its inner edge.
- a chute 25 is fastened below the annular disc 22 on the vertical shaft 12, which rotates with the vertical shaft and whose outlet opens out over the grinding track surface 10a, directly in front of (seen in the direction of rotation) the inner rotor 18.
- the pan mill works as follows. During operation, the material feed belt 23 continuously pours the material to be shredded onto the inlet ring disk 22. Due to the effects of the scraper 24 and the force of gravity, the ring disk surface drops - as said - inwards, the material falls through only through the three struts 22a interrupted annular space between the vertical shaft 12 and the inner edge of the annular disc 22 downward and passes over the rotating chute 25 to the grinding track surface 10a, in the area immediately in front of the inner rotor 18. The rotor 18 then rolls over the continuously fed material and crushes it this due to its weight. A pressed material layer forms on the grinding track surface 10a behind the inner rotor 18 and is broken open by the scraper 20.
- This scraper 20 has such an angle that the material is given a certain directional component to the outside.
- a spiral movement on the grinding track surface is thus impressed on the material in the outward direction, so that the material after a several passes through the inner runner 18 into the rollover area of the outer runner 19.
- the material is then rolled over by the outer runner 19 and broken up by the scraper surface 21 following it and driven further and further outward while the spiral movement continues.
- the comminuted and mixed material falls through the through openings located in the outer ring area of the grinding track surface 10a and onto a conventional collecting plate 13 from which it is discharged.
- the exemplary embodiment shown can undergo numerous modifications without leaving the scope of the invention.
- the material can also be fed to the annular disc 22 via a channel slide which is independent of the crossmember 17, in which case the stripper 24 can then optionally be attached to the crossmember 17 or to another fixed location.
- the number of struts 22a can also be chosen as desired.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a pan mill for ceramic masses, in particular brick clay.
A typical example of such a pan mill can be found in DE-PS 20 10 735. This pan mill has a horizontal, circular disk-shaped grinding track surface, which rests on a runner bed with through openings, an inner and an outer runner that rotates in the circumferential direction of the grinding track surface on this, a vertical vertical shaft that drives the runner centrally, in the direction of movement of the runner, scrapers driven by the vertical shaft, a material feed continuously applying the regrind to the grinding track surface and a collecting plate arranged under the grinding track surface for discharging the regrind.
In order to save time, the throughput quantity per unit of time has now been increased more and more in these pan mills in the past few years, with the result that the residence time of the ground material in the pan mill has become extremely short. this has but with the result that the mixing effect is considerably reduced and that very heavy runners have to be used in order to comminute even very coarse regrind in a very short time, for example by a single rollover operation. However, this not only results in weight and storage problems, but also a very high energy consumption is inevitable.
These problems have now been overcome with a pan mill according to DE-OS 36 40 081, in which the material feed is channel-shaped or tubular and is arranged and driven by the vertical shaft in such a way that the material to be ground is forcibly fed onto the grinding track surface directly in front of the inner rotor is formed, the scraper surfaces following the runners are plow-like and are set up in such a way that the regrind rolled over by the runners moves spirally from the inside to the outside of the grinding path surface and the grinding path surface is provided with passage openings only in the region of the outer spiral walls of the movement of the grinding material. In fact, a high throughput is achieved with a comparatively low energy consumption. However, it is a prerequisite that the vertical shaft is driven from below, because this is the only place at the upper free end of the vertical shaft for attaching the gutter or tubular material feed. The numerous existing and in operation pan mill gears, in which the vertical shaft is driven from above, whereby a fixed traverse spans the pan mill, cannot be converted accordingly. In addition, there are also good reasons for special application reasons to choose a construction with drive of the vertical shaft from above when creating pan mill gears, in which case the material feed cannot be attached to the vertical shaft in this case either.
The object of the present invention is therefore to design a pan mill with a drive of the vertical shaft from above, that the same advantages of a high material throughput can be achieved with a comparatively low expenditure of energy as with the aforementioned pan millers with drive from below. The solution to this problem results from

The pan mill has a cantilevered
The pan mill works as follows. During operation, the
Of course, the exemplary embodiment shown can undergo numerous modifications without leaving the scope of the invention. Thus, the material can also be fed to the
