Abstract

The invention proposes a method for manufacturing bright steel, especially bright round steel bars produced from hot-rolled steel, according to which the round steel bars are rounded to narrow tolerances in a sizing mill from the rolling heat, the oxide layer on the round steel bars is largely removed and the round steel bars are then subjected to a straightening and polishing process.
