  • a) ein Vorratsmagazin für fehlerhafte Zigaretten,
  • b) eine Vereinzelungs- und Transporteinrichtung mit einer sich um ihre Achse drehenden Muldentrommel, die eine Anzahl von über den Umfang regelmäßig verteilte, muldenförmige Vertiefungen hat,
  • c) eine Fixiereinrichtung für die vereinzelten Zigaretten,
  • d) eine Druckluftbeaufschlagungseinrichtung, die den Tabak aus den jeweils fixierten Zigaretten bläst,
  • e) eine Aufnahmeeinrichtung für den ausgeblasenen Tabak und getrennt zu diesem für die Zigarettenhülsen, und
  • f) eine Betriebssteuereinrichtung für die abgestimmte Steuerung der Einrichtungen der Vorrichtung aufweist,

dadurch aus, daß folgendes vorgesehen ist:
  • g) eine Lochtrommel, die zu den muldenförmigen Vertiefungen der Muldentrommel axial fluchtende Aufnahmebohrungen hat, sich in axialer Richtung an die Muldentrommel anschließt und drehfest mit dieser verbunden ist,
  • h) eine Saugeinrichtung zum Einsaugen der an der Muldentrommel vereinzelten Zigaretten in die Aufnahmebohrung, bis das Mundstück der jeweiligen Zigarette in der Nähe der von der Muldentrommel abgewandten Stirnseite der Lochtrommel ist,
  • i) die Fixiereinrichtung von wenigstens einer, radial beweglichen Fixiernadel pro Aufnahmebohrung im Bereich der Mundstücke der Zigaretten gebildet wird, und
  • j) die Steuereinrichtung einen in axialer Verlängerung der Lochtrommel angeordneten Steuerring aufweist, der in vorbestimmte Winkelzonen für die Bestimmung des Arbeitsablaufes der Vorrichtung unterteilt ist.

Durch diese Anordnung von Muldentrommel und Lochtrommel, welche eine Dreheinheit bilden, läßt sich in Verbindung mit der von einem Steuerring gebildeten Steuereinrichtung erzielen, daß während einer vollständigen Umdrehung dieser Einheit in einem vorbestimmten Arbeitsablauf die Zigaretten vereinzelt, fixiert und der Tabak aus diesen ausgeblasen wird, wobei die beweglichen Einrichtungen der Vorrichtung ein zuverlässiges Zusammenarbeiten gewährleisten, da ein synchroner Gleichlauf von Muldentrommel, Lochtrommel und Steuerring der Steuereinrichtung gegeben ist. Daher läßt sich mit Hilfe der erfindungsgemäßen Vorrichtung innerhalb einer kurzen Zeit zuverlässig der Tabak aus fehlerhaften Zigaretten während der Ausführung einer Drehbewegung der beiden eine Bewegungseinheit bildenden Trommeln auf vollautomatische Weise zurückgewinnen.   • die Druckbolzen am Führungsring werden über ein zugeordnetes Kurvensegment derart beaufschlagt, daß die Fixiernadeln der Fixiereinrichtung die Zigaretten vorzugsweise im Mundstückbereich in den Aufnahmebohrungen festhalten;
  • dann wird ein Überdruck oder Blasdruck unter Steuerung über den Steuerring angelegt, mittels welchem der Tabak aus der Zigarettenhülse ausgeblasen und zu der zugeordneten Aufnahmeeinrichtung für den Tabak befördert wird;
  • die Fixiernadeln der Fixiereinrichtung werden aus der Zigarettenhülse an dem Mundstückteil dadurch herausgefahren, daß die Druckbolzen am Führungsring von dem Kurvensegment freikommen, und
  • mittels eines weiteren Druckluftimpulses gesteuert über den Steuerring werden die Zigarettenhülsen mit dem zugeordneten Mundstückteil aus den Aufnahmebohrungen herausgeblasen und in eine zugeordnete Aufnahmeeinrichtung hierfür gefördert.

Anhand der Fig. 1, 1a und 2 wird eine bevorzugte Ausführungsform einer Vorrichtung zur Tabakrückgewinnung aus fehlerhaften Zigaretten erläutert, die insgesamt mit 1 bezeichnet ist. Die Vorrichtung 1 kann als eine ortsunabhängige, auf einem Gestell oder als Tischmodell zu bedienende Einheit ausgelegt sein. Die Trommelkombination 5 umfaßt eine auf einer gemeinsamen Welle 6 sitzende Muldentrommel 7 und eine Lochtrommel 8. Die Welle 6 verläuft im wesentlichen horizontal. Die Muldentrommel 7 hat über ihren Umfang regelmäßig verteilte, muldenförmige Vertiefungen 9, welche beispielsweise in einer Anzahl von 24 vorgesehen sind. Oberhalb der Muldentrommel 7 ist eine Abweis-Vieleckrolle 10 achsparallel zu der Muldentrommel 7 angeordnet. Die Abweis-Vieleckrolle 10 wird mit Hilfe eines Motors 11 gegensinnig zu der Muldentrommel 7 angetrieben, wie dies insbesondere mit Pfeilen in Fig. 2 gezeigt ist. In axialer Richtung schließt sich an die Muldentrommel 7 die Lochtrommel 8 an, welche beispielsweise über eine Schraub- und Stiftverbindung 12, 13 drehfest mit der Muldentrommel 7 verbunden ist, so daß die beiden Trommeln 7 und 8 gleichsinnig und synchron um die gemeinsame Welle 6 umlaufen. Über die Öffnung 44' in der Winkelzone 44 des Steuerrings 26 kann ein noch stärkerer Saugdruck angelegt werden, um auch stark deformierte Zigaretten 16 so weit in die jeweilige Aufnahmebohrung 14 einzusaugen, daß ihr Mundstückteil an der der Lochtrommel 8 zugewandten Stirnfläche des Steuerrings 26 anliegt. Über das Kurvensegment 24, welches auf die Rollen 23 der Rollenbolzen 22 drückt, werden die Fixiernadeln 18 entgegen der Wirkung der Kraft der Federn 19 vorzugsweise an zwei axial beabstandeten Stellen über die radialen Öffnungen 20 in das Mundstückteil der Zigarette 16 eingetrieben. Dann ist die Zigarette 16 hinsichtlich ihrer Lage in der Aufnahmebohrung 14 fixiert. Versuche haben gezeigt, daß man mit Hilfe der Vorrichtung 1 nach der Erfindung für etwa 100 Zigaretten, etwa 12 s benötigt, um den Tabak rückzugewinnen und gesondert hierzu die leeren Zigarettenhülsen auszusondern. Die Vorrichtung 1 ermöglicht ferner eine schonende Trennung von Zigarettenhülse 30 und Tabakanteil, so daß eine zuverlässige Überprüfung der geforderten Produktqualität erzielt wird. Claims (20)

  1. Device for the recovery of tobacco from defective cigarettes which has:
    a) a storage magazine (28) for defective cigarettes (16),
    b) an isolation and transportation apparatus (36) with a trough drum (7) rotating about its axis, which drum has a number of trough-shaped recesses (9) distributed regularly around the circumference,
    c) a fixing apparatus (17) for the isolated cigarettes (16),
    d) a compressed-air impacting device which blows the tobacco out of each of the fixed cigarettes (16),
    e) a receiving device for the blown-out tobacco and separate to this for the cigarette tubes (30) and
    f) an operation-controlling device (56) for the harmonized control of the apparatus of the device (1),
    characterized in that the following are provided:
    g) a perforated drum (8) which has receiving bores (14) axially in alignment with the trough-shaped recesses (9) of the trough drum (7), is connected in axial direction to the trough drum (7) and is connected in rotation-resistant manner to the latter,

  2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that two axially spaced fixing needles (18) are allotted to each receiving bore (14).

Device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that, for the impacting of the fixing needles (18) in the direction of their fixing position, a guide ring (21) is provided which surrounds the perforated drum (8) and is connected firmly to it, and in which a compressed-air impacting pin (22) is arranged radially movable for each fixing needle (18) or each pair of fixing needles.
  4. Device according to claim 3, characterized in that the pressure pins (22) are impactable by means of a curved control (24) for the fixing, and the fixing needles (18) remain held in their fixing position at least during the blowing-out of the cigarettes by means of compressed air.

Device according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the control ring (26) is positioned elastically in axial direction of the perforated drum (8) in such a way that it lies against the front face (25) of the perforated drum (8) and forms a limiting means for the penetration depth of the cigarettes (16) into the receiving bores (14).

  12. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that discharge slopes (15) inclined to the receiving bores (14) are provided at the transition between the trough-shaped recesses (9) of the trough drum (7) and the receiving bores (14) in the perforated drum (8).
  13. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that a polygonal deflection roller (10) is assigned axis-parallel to the trough drum (7) to support the isolating of the defective cigarettes (16').
  14. Device according to claim 13, characterized in that the polygonal deflection roller (10) rotates in the same direction as the trough drum (7).
  15. Device according to claim 13 or claim 14, characterized in that the trough drum (7) and the perforated drum (8) connected to it in rotation-resistant manner and the polygonal deflection roller (10) are driven by a common driving apparatus.
  16. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that a filter is provided at the mouth piece part of the cigarette (16).
  17. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by a sensor (35) for monitoring the charging of the receiving bores (14) with cigarettes, which takes the device (1) out of service if there is a cigarette missing from the receiving bore (14).
  18. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by a photoelectric detection apparatus (37) for the cigarettes (16) to be blown out, which immediately counts the latter.
  19. Process for the operation of the device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that, in cooperation with the polygonal deflection roller, the defective cigarettes coming from the magazine are isolated and transferred into the corresponding trough-shaped recesses of the trough drum, the filter cigarettes are transported further in the peripheral direction in the trough-shaped grooves, on the rotating movement of the trough drum the filter cigarettes from the trough-shaped recesses are pushed axially into the receiving bores of the perforated drum and the filter cigarettes are sucked into the receiving bores with the help of an applied suction pressure or under-pressure, until their mouthpiece part lies against the control ring surface, the pressure pins are impacted upon via a curved control apparatus in such a way that the needles of the fixing apparatus penetrate the cigarette in the mouthpiece region to fix their position, that an overpressure or blowing pressure is applied in axial direction of the receiving bores, that the tobacco is blown out of the cigarette tubes and conveyed to a discharge apparatus for tobacco, the fixing apparatus releases the cigarette tube in the receiving bores and further compressed-air pulse is applied via the control apparatus to the receiving bores in the perforated drum in such a way that the cigarette tubes with the allotted mouthpiece part are blown out of the receiving bore and conveyed to an allotted discharge apparatus,
    whereby the controlled operating procedure takes place with the help of the controlling apparatus which comprises the cycle disk, the control ring, the guide ring and the curved control working in conjunction therewith.
  20. Process according to claim 19, characterized in that, prior to the start of a fresh operating cycle, the receiving bores of the perforated drum are again impacted upon with a compressed-air pulse by means of the control ring in order to blow the receiving bores clear of deposits adhering there.
