Abstract

The invention discloses a particle filter regenerable by combustion for cleaning the exhaust gas of internal combustion engines, the filter comprising filter plugs (11) which are arranged in a housing (1) with an external heat supply (10) and are covered with different lengths of filter material (13) in accordance with the flow profile of the exhaust gas in the housing (1). <IMAGE>
