Abstract

The powder-actuated fastener driving tool has a barrel (5) and a breechblock (8) which are axially displaceable in a housing (1). The tensioning of the tension spring (18) for a firing pin (17) under the pressure of the barrel (5) is made possible by a disengageable catch element (12) between housing (1) and breechblock (8). The catch element (12) is disengaged only upon overcoming a predetermined force which acts counter to the driving direction and occurs as a result of the gas pressure after ignition of the propelling charge (19). <IMAGE>
