Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a liquid product metering device, intended in particular for feeding agricultural spraying machines.
  • Vehicles are used, in particular in the agricultural field, to carry out the treatment of crops, comprising spray bars which project onto the ground an appropriate treatment product, diluted with water in a determined proportion.
  • Some treatment machines thus include a tank filled with pure water, a container containing the product of treatment in concentrated form, and means making it possible to carry out a controlled dilution of the treatment product in pure water.
  • These means generally consist of electric metering pumps by means of which a determined quantity of treatment product is withdrawn which is mixed with a given quantity of water, depending on the specific dilution of the product recommended by the manufacturer.
  • the type of pump that can be used for a given product depends on its chemical resistance to it, and the use of metering pumps capable of withstanding a very wide range of treatment products generally requires the use of highly technical materials. which increases the price of these pumps and the cost of treatment equipment.
  • the object of the present invention is to provide a simple metering device operating without metering pumps and which therefore is both very robust and of a particularly attractive cost price.
  • the present invention thus relates to a device for dosing liquid treatment products for mobile spraying machines, and in particular for agricultural machines, comprising at least a first container for storing a concentrated liquid treatment product to be distributed, this product being intended to be diluted, in a determined proportion, in a dilution liquid contained in a second container, characterized in that it comprises means for pressurizing the first container by means a gas under pressure, so as to propel the treatment product through flow control means and to mix it with a determined quantity of the dilution liquid contained in the second container.
  • the pressurizing means consist of a pressure tank filled with a gas, which may possibly include a liquid phase, or which is optionally maintained under pressure by a compressor, which ensures a regularity of the value of the pressure applied to the container containing the product to be dispensed and which therefore gives great regularity in the flow rate of the treatment product supplied.
  • the means making it possible to control the flow rate of the product to be dispensed, under the action of the pressure exerted on it by the pressure means consist of an orifice of calibrated section.
  • the container containing the treatment product to be dispensed as well as the flow control means form an interchangeable sub-assembly.
  • This arrangement makes it possible to switch particularly quickly from a product of processing to another without the need for any flow adjustment, since the flow control means are part of the interchangeable sub-assembly and are therefore adjusted once for all depending on the specific treatment product used. It is thus possible, on the same spraying vehicle, to have a series of sub-assemblies each containing a specific product to be distributed, which makes it easy to switch from one to the other.
  • the metering device comprises a tank 1 containing a dilution liquid 2, constituted for example by pure water, and which is connected by a pipe 4, widely dimensioned in order to avoid pressure drops, to a suction pump 5 with interposition a non-return valve 7.
  • a dilution liquid 2 constituted for example by pure water
  • a pipe 4 widely dimensioned in order to avoid pressure drops
  • the upper part of the tank 6 is joined, by a pipe 12, to pressurizing means consisting for example of a tank 14 containing a gas under pressure.
  • a regulating valve 16 and pressure regulating valve is interposed between the container 6 and the pressure tank 14.
  • the pressure regulating valve 16 comprises, in known manner, regulating means, for example electronic, allowing to adjust, in particular by means of a potentiometer 18, the pressure at the outlet of the valve 16.
  • the bottom of the container 6 is pierced with an orifice connecting the treatment product 10 contained therein, to flow control means, constituted for example by an orifice of calibrated section, or nozzle, 22.
  • flow control means constituted for example by an orifice of calibrated section, or nozzle, 22.
  • the outlet of the nozzle 22 is connected to the pipe 4 by a pipe 20, with the interposition of a two-way "solenoid valve" 24.
  • This solenoid valve 24 functions as a product inlet valve in the circuit, and can be actuated by a control to distance, not shown in the drawing.
  • a regulating device 26, for example electronic, ensures the synchronization of operation of the pressure adjustment valve 16 and of the pump 5 by regulating on the one hand the pressure at the outlet of the valve 16 and on the other hand the flow rate of the pump 5 so as to adjust the quantity of treatment product 10 mixed with water, as a function of the speed of the machine, in order to keep a constant quantity of treatment product 10 distributed per hectare.
  • the regulation device 26 also makes it possible to stop a treatment phase in progress, such as for example when it is necessary to carry out a directional maneuver at the end of a field, the device making it possible to delay the stopping of injection of the treatment product slightly before stopping the pump 5 which draws pure water from the tank 2, this time being such that the hydraulic circuit between the suction of the pump 5 and the nozzles of the treatment ramps will be automatically cleaned of the treatment liquid by a passage of pure water.
  • the user displays, by means of the adjustment potentiometer 18, the pressure recommended for the treatment product 10 contained in the container 6, and which depends on the conditions of use indicated by the manufacturer of the product, controls the pressurization of the pressure adjustment valve 16 and starts the pump 5.
  • the pressure adjustment valve 16 then puts the container 6 at the pressure set by the user and drives out the treatment product 10, through the calibrated orifice 22, towards the solenoid valve 24 which, if it was opened during start-up, allows the treatment product 10 which thus mixes with the water sucked by the pump 5.
  • the treatment product 10 thus mixes, in a determined amount, with a corresponding quantity of the water sucked by the pump 5, and which is controlled by the regulating device 26, to constitute the treatment liquid distributed by the latter to the spray nozzles (not shown in the drawing).
  • means are provided for activating the pump 5 and the solenoid valve 24 only when the vehicle is in motion, which avoids spilling, for example at the start of treatment, the treatment liquid in quantity greater than that desired.
  • two treatment products 10, 10 ′ are used which are mixed simultaneously with the water 2 contained in the tank 1.
  • a second container 6 ′ is used connected, like the previous one, to a pressure adjustment valve 16 ′ connected to the reservoir 14 and controlled by a potentiometer 18 ′.
  • This embodiment of the invention allows the simultaneous use of several products which mix with water at the last moment, in specific proportions, which may be different from each other. This device therefore makes it possible to use two-component treatment products which are reacted with one another at the very last moment, which makes it possible to maintain the active nature of the treatment products.
  • a series of modular elements 29a, 29b, 29c is constituted, each comprising a container 6a, 6b, 6c of treatment product 10a, 10b, 10c with which is associated a specific calibrated orifice 22a, 22b, 22c, the ends of the pipes ending in quick-fitting fittings 30.30 ′ coming to be fixed on complementary parts respectively 32.32 ′ of the circuit.
  • the user can thus have at his disposal, possibly at a stationary position on the processing machine, a series of different products 10a, 10b, 10c which he can in turn use without having to empty the tank 1, since it always contains the same dilution liquid 2.
  • the pump 5 is provided, on its outlet pipe, with flow control means, constituted by an orifice 39 of calibrated section, of section S2, in downstream of which is connected a pipe 40 connected to the flow control means 22 of the treatment product 10, which consist of an orifice of calibrated section 22 of section S1, with the interposition of a solenoid valve 24.
  • a module for adjusting and regulation pressure 44 connects the pressure adjustment valve 16 upstream of the calibrated section orifice 39.
  • An adjustment module 42 of the hydraulic or electronic type makes it possible to adjust the flow rate supplied to the injection nozzles as a function of the pressure P2 at the outlet.
  • the pressures upstream and downstream of the orifices of calibrated section 22 and 39 are respectively P3 and P2 on the one hand, and P1 and P2 on the other hand, the flow rates supplied respectively by the orifices of calibrated section 22 and 39 are thus, in known manner:
  • the pressure P3 upstream of the orifice of calibrated section 22 has a value equal to the pressure P1 existing in upstream of the orifice of calibrated section 39
  • the present device thus makes it possible to easily vary the quantity of the treatment product distributed per hectare by acting, for example, on the pressure P2 of the treatment liquid sent to the spray nozzles, while keeping the dilution rate q / constant.
  • Q which only depends on the calibrated section orifices, or nozzles, 22 and 39.
  • the distribution pressure P2 of the treatment liquid sent to the nozzles is kept constant, the dilution rate q / Q will be modified by varying, by means of module 44, the pressure ratio P3 / P1.
