Definitions
- the invention relates to a transformer, especially a distribution transformer, with an oil boiler and an outer oil collecting container, the receiving space of which is partly delimited by the boiler wall.
- transformers with oil boilers filled with insulating liquid for cooling and insulation requires the operator to meet extensive requirements with regard to environmental protection, operational safety and economic aspects.
- the national installation regulations for transformers contain precise information on the structural design of rooms for transformers and structural measures when installing transformers outdoors.
- oil collection containers When installing liquid-cooled transformers, oil collection containers must be provided at least from a certain size. These oil collecting tanks have so far been designed as oil collecting trays. If the transformer is placed in the oil drip pan, which is usually open at the top, its receiving space is partly limited by the boiler wall.
- the capacity of the oil drip pan must be so large that the oil escaping from the transformer tank in the worst-case scenario is properly collected. This requirement can be met with stationary stations at floor level and in particular in installation rooms without undue difficulty.
- the conventional oil sumps do not provide additional explosion protection.
- an outer protective housing is provided for a transformer tank according to JP-A 56 135 911, the free space between the boiler and protective housing being filled with an inert gas and being hermetically sealed to the outside.
- a compensating vessel is provided for this space and a separate cooling circuit must be provided for cooling, in which the transformer tank is connected via pipes to a heat exchanger to be fitted outside the protective housing.
- the transformer boiler there is also an expansion tank and a pipeline connecting the boiler interior via a pressure control valve with the intermediate space, which pipeline is led through the cover of the protective housing to the outside to the control valve and then through the wall into the protective housing.
- an overpressure valve is built into the wall of the transformer tank, which bursts when a dangerous overpressure is exceeded, so that the oil can flow out into the intermediate space.
- Reinforcements and bulges are provided on the protective housing in the area opposite the pressure relief valve in order to prevent the protective housing from tearing open due to the oil jet escaping when the pressure relief valve responds.
- the protective housing itself has no cooling function and, as already mentioned, is hermetically sealed from the outside air. Because of the complex overall structure, the use of the described construction is primarily useful for large transformers that are installed in protected rooms.
- transformers are equipped with an expansion tank that is connected to the filling chamber of the transformer via lines and absorbs the excess insulating liquid when heated.
- Such an expansion tank is preferably used in transformers with air or gas cushions above the insulating liquid.
- a compensation vessel is attached to the cover of the transformer and is connected to the filling space of the transformer by means of bores, a gas-filled balloon being present in the compensation vessel, which is intended to compensate for the thermal volume changes in the insulating liquid.
- a cylinder-like receiving space is attached to the side of the transformer tank, in which a spring-loaded pressure piston is adjusted according to the current expansion of the insulating liquid.
- a transformer with a protective gas cushion located above the insulating liquid and a pressure container attached to the side of a wall of the transformer is known, which is also filled with protective gas and communicates with the protective gas cushion above the insulating liquid via a siphon. This is intended to provide additional protection against the penetration of moisture into the insulating liquid. From a certain size, all of these transformers would have to be additionally equipped with an oil collector.
- transformers in semi-hermetic construction with and without air cushion and with and without expansion tank as well as “breathing” transformers with air cushion are also used.
- corrugated wall boiler has established itself in Europe for distribution transformers in the power range up to 2.5 MVA and occasionally above.
- the elasticity of the appropriately dimensioned corrugated wall of this boiler can absorb the changes in volume caused by the temperature-related expansion of the oil.
- the cooling and insulating liquid of the transformer is completely sealed off from the outside air.
- the object of the invention is to provide a transformer of the type mentioned, which is largely maintenance-free, offers increased security against the escape of oil into the ground, can be used if necessary as a mast station transformer and in which the problem of cooling with simple Means is solved, the function of the oil collecting container is not ineffective by atmospheric precipitation.
- the main object of the invention is also to provide a transformer which can be used in full or semi-hermetic design in a power range of 50-630 kVA and a maximum voltage of the equipment of 36 kV.
- the oil boiler absorbs the total amount of oil during normal operation, that ventilation and ventilation devices are provided for the free space enclosed between the two boilers, and that the outer boiler with the heat transfer from the interior to the ambient air improving heat exchange surfaces, e.g. Cooling fins, is provided.
- the free space between the two boilers is protected against the ingress of rainwater.
- the outer boiler provides both explosion protection and protection of the inner boiler in the event of mechanical damage and does not form just one Oil collection container if the boiler leaks, but also an additional means of dissipating the operating heat. All parts that carry oil during normal operation are enclosed by the outer boiler. Because of the ventilation devices for the space enclosed between the two boilers, the precipitation of moisture on the walls is prevented.
- the outer boiler is designed as a corrugated wall boiler.
- a cooling air flow can e.g. achieve by utilizing the air heating on the oil boiler in that one or more pipes are insulated on one side of the outer boiler from an upper inlet opening down to the ground and air outlet openings are made on the opposite side of the outer boiler.
- the air inlet and outlet openings are of course protected against the ingress of rainwater.
- Another possibility is to provide forced ventilation of the interior via fans that can be switched on and off by thermostats. Appropriate measures can be taken to reduce the size of the heat exchange surfaces on the outer boiler.
- the oil boiler is designed as a hermetically sealed corrugated wall boiler and has at least one pressure relief valve with the free space between connected to the boilers, whereby the pressure relief valve responds before there is permanent damage to the corrugated wall boiler.
- the constructive design of the transformer in hermetic construction should be the normal version z. B. according to DIN 42500.
- the active part of the transformer consisting of iron core and windings, is installed in an inner oil boiler 1 designed as a corrugated wall boiler.
- the insulating liquid consisting of transformer oil is hermetically sealed from the ambient air in this oil boiler 1. All fittings that are used for oil manipulation and monitoring are attached to the oil boiler 1. Of these fittings, a thermometer pocket 2, a filler neck 3 with level indicator, an oil main drain 4 and a pressure relief valve 5 were indicated.
- the oil boiler 1 encloses an outer boiler 9, which is also designed as a corrugated wall boiler, while maintaining a free space 6 between the corrugated walls 7 and 8.
- an outer boiler 9 which is also designed as a corrugated wall boiler, while maintaining a free space 6 between the corrugated walls 7 and 8.
- a common end cover 10 is provided, on which the upper and lower voltage bushings 11, 12 are also constructed. Lifting eyes 13 are attached to the cover 10.
- the boiler 1 is connected in the bottom area to the outer boiler 9 via detachable brackets.
- a chassis 14 and tension and tensioning sleeves 15, 16 are attached to the outer boiler 9 for pulling the transformer or for lashing it onto the mast station. Since the inner shell is detachably connected to the outer shell and the tensioning and supporting elements are provided on the outer shell 9, transport stresses can easily be absorbed. Instead of A skid 14 can also be provided with skids or other elements.
- the outer boiler 9 is beveled at the bottom against the floor area.
- the heat loss from the transformer is emitted through the shaft walls 7 of the oil boiler 1 to the air in the free space 6 and is dissipated by this partly by convection to the outer boiler 9 and from there to the ambient air. A small part of the heat is also emitted by radiation from the boiler 1 to the boiler 9.
- the outer boiler is dimensioned in such a way that the permissible temperature limits of the transformer are observed.
- the outer boiler 9 must of course be able to absorb the entire amount of oil in this boiler if the oil boiler 1 bursts. Another condition is that the outer boiler 9 absorbs the resulting or released kinetic energy when the inner boiler 1 bursts without bursting open. Atmospheric precipitation is kept away from free space 6.
- passage ventilation is provided.
- a downwardly open pipe elbow from the rainwater protected air inlet 17 in one corner of the outer boiler 9, a pipe preferably thermally insulated up to the ground and in the area of the diagonally opposite corner, an air outlet 18 is provided above.
- the outer boiler 9 is also provided with a drain 19.
- the outlet of the pressure relief valve 5 leads into the intermediate space 6, which ensures that no oil can escape into the open when the valve responds. It is also possible to design the pressure relief valve as a sensor for a circuit breaker of the transformer.
- the main boiler Compared to a normal oil transformer or hermetic transformer, the main boiler has larger main dimensions. However, these are still much smaller than the corresponding dimensions of dry and cast resin transformers of the same power with one housing.

Description
- In Extremfällen, z.
- Fig. 1
- in stark schematisierter Darstellungsweise einen erfindungsgemäßen Transformator in Vorderansicht,
- Fig. 2
- eine Seitenansicht zu Fig. 1,
- Fig. 3
- eine Draufsicht zu Fig. 1 und
