Definitions
- the invention relates to a steel wire rope with a steel insert for elevators with friction discs or for indirect hydraulic elevators, the wire rope having a plurality of outer strands, which consist of a heart wire and an outer wire layer and wherein the number of outer strands is 8-10 and the steel insert from one Heart wire and several layers of wire.
- a wire rope with a steel insert is e.g. shown in DIN 3051 on sheet 2, page 3 in Figure 18. It is a stranded spiral rope with eight outer strands. The strands of the steel insert are stranded in parallel with the outer strands in a common operation.
- This known wire rope is suitable for lifts, but since the outer wires of the outer strands are relatively thin, they are subject to faster wear.
- Wire ropes in elevator construction are subject to special stresses. They are subject to strict testing and monitoring conditions. For traction sheaves and rope pulleys, diameters are prescribed that correspond to at least 40 times the rope diameter. Furthermore, at least 14 times the rope safety must be taken into account.
- the grooves in the traction sheave can be designed as friction grooves, which represent a round groove with an undercut, wedge shape or wedge shape with an undercut. Friction grooves of this type are preferably not used in looping pulley elevators or double pulley elevators, but in the classic traction pulley elevator with a traction sheave.
- a wire rope, as shown in FIG. 1, has proven itself better for such conditions. Again, it is a parallel round strand rope.
- the outer strands of this wire rope are also stranded in parallel with the strands of the steel insert in a common operation.
- the outer strands of this wire rope represent a single-layer thick-stranded strand, which brought considerable advantages over the prior art; because previously - as mentioned - parallel strands with thinner wires were used, which are inevitably sensitive to friction or external abrasion and low resistance.
- the invention has for its object to improve the previously customary steel wire ropes for traction sheave lifts in such a way that their manufacture is substantially cheaper with approximately the same performance, in particular a high breaking strength and a long remaining service life.
- the wire rope according to the invention is particularly suitable for elevators whose traction sheaves have friction grooves, but above all it can also be used well for indirect hydraulic elevators, because it is characterized by an excellent breaking force. It has surprisingly been found that, despite a substantial reduction in the cost of manufacture, the rope performance was not reduced. During the test work it was found that, despite the simplified internal structure of the steel wire rope, an astonishingly high remaining service life is achieved.
- the wire rope according to the invention represents an optimum in terms of price, breaking strength and rope performance. Although such ropes also have thick outer wires, they do not have oversized monofilaments in their periphery.
- FIG. 2 shows the cross section of a wire rope according to the invention with nine outer strands.
- Fig. 2 shows a wire rope with a steel insert 1 and nine outer strands 7, each of which consists of a heart wire and seven outer wires.
- the execution of the outer strands in a single-layer construction from 1 + 7 wires has proven itself in elevator construction and could therefore be retained.
- the steel insert 1 consists of a wire 2 and a plurality of wire layers 3, 4, 5.
- the arrangement of such a steel insert 1 is considerably less complex than the design in the hitherto usual design as a stranded spiral rope in parallel lay-up style (parallel round strand rope) or as rope with a classic steel rope insert inside.
- the steel insert 1 is a parallel lay strand. It may also be expedient to overmold the steel insert 1 with plastic 6, the plastic 6 being able to flow between gaps between adjacent outer wires of the steel insert 1 and engaging behind it in the manner of a dovetail. It may also be advantageous to compress the single-layer outer strands 7 during their manufacture.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a steel wire rope with a steel insert for elevators with friction discs or for indirect hydraulic elevators, the wire rope having a plurality of outer strands, which consist of a heart wire and an outer wire layer and wherein the number of outer strands is 8-10 and the steel insert from one Heart wire and several layers of wire.
A wire rope with a steel insert is e.g. shown in DIN 3051 on
Wire ropes in elevator construction are subject to special stresses. They are subject to strict testing and monitoring conditions. For traction sheaves and rope pulleys, diameters are prescribed that correspond to at least 40 times the rope diameter. Furthermore, at least 14 times the rope safety must be taken into account. The grooves in the traction sheave can be designed as friction grooves, which represent a round groove with an undercut, wedge shape or wedge shape with an undercut. Friction grooves of this type are preferably not used in looping pulley elevators or double pulley elevators, but in the classic traction pulley elevator with a traction sheave.
A wire rope, as shown in FIG. 1, has proven itself better for such conditions. Again, it is a parallel round strand rope. The outer strands of this wire rope are also stranded in parallel with the strands of the steel insert in a common operation. The outer strands of this wire rope represent a single-layer thick-stranded strand, which brought considerable advantages over the prior art; because previously - as mentioned - parallel strands with thinner wires were used, which are inevitably sensitive to friction or external abrasion and low resistance.
Since the trend in elevator construction is more and more towards indirect hydraulic lifts, it seemed expedient to develop a wire rope that is suitable for lifts with friction disks as well as especially for indirect hydraulic lifts.
The invention has for its object to improve the previously customary steel wire ropes for traction sheave lifts in such a way that their manufacture is substantially cheaper with approximately the same performance, in particular a high breaking strength and a long remaining service life.
The features characterized in claim 1 serve to solve this problem. The subclaims contain useful further training.
The wire rope according to the invention is particularly suitable for elevators whose traction sheaves have friction grooves, but above all it can also be used well for indirect hydraulic elevators, because it is characterized by an excellent breaking force. It has surprisingly been found that, despite a substantial reduction in the cost of manufacture, the rope performance was not reduced. During the test work it was found that, despite the simplified internal structure of the steel wire rope, an astonishingly high remaining service life is achieved.
The wire rope according to the invention represents an optimum in terms of price, breaking strength and rope performance. Although such ropes also have thick outer wires, they do not have oversized monofilaments in their periphery.
In Fig. 2 ist der Querschnitt eines erfindungsgemäßen Drahtseils mit neun Außenlitzen dargestellt.2 shows the cross section of a wire rope according to the invention with nine outer strands.
Fig. 2 shows a wire rope with a steel insert 1 and nine outer strands 7, each of which consists of a heart wire and seven outer wires. The execution of the outer strands in a single-layer construction from 1 + 7 wires has proven itself in elevator construction and could therefore be retained. The steel insert 1 consists of a
The steel insert 1 is a parallel lay strand. It may also be expedient to overmold the steel insert 1 with
